Do any vendors out there make an easy oil drain plug for DIY oil changes?

Planning to do first oil change to 2022 refresh Silverado, can anyone confirm the oil filter part number? I can't determine if the refresh are the same filter as the 22 limited models or not. What brand filter and oil is recommended? Search results are giving me AC Delco PF63 and/or AC Delco PF66 and 0W-20 for oil. Any guidance would be appreciated. -
Just changed the oil on my 2014 gmc sierra 4.3l. It required six quarts of oil which is what i used but now i am afraid if its overfilled or not. Its a completely different reading than what it was before the oil change. Althought its not above the hashmarks there are 2 dots on there which I’m not sure if those are the oil level indicators or the hashmarks are the oil level indicators. The dots are kinda hidden which is why I’m not sure if those even are oil indicators dots. Im really hoping i filled it up correctly and wont ruin the engine by overfilling the oil. I installed a fumoto valve so it could be easier to drain excess oil. I do note there was a metallic ticking noise that was present before the oil change but disappeared afterwards. following picture (2) is before the oil change one of each side of the dipstick The next two fuller looking ones are after the oil change one for each side of the dipstick

V-6 2019 Silverado calls for 6qts of oil. During an oil change, I drained all the oil out and changed filter. Truck is sitting on level ground, and all oil was drained until the last drop came out. I pre-filled the new filter to the top with oil, which left me with 5 3/4 ish quarts of oil. I put the rest in the truck. I started my truck and let it run for a good five minutes or so. Shut it off, and let it sit for about an hour. I came back out and checked the dipstick my dipstick only shows half way. I even really stuck the dipstick down in the oil and “spun“ it a few times to make sure it picked up all over. Same thing. then I started thinking that Oil was not “sticking“ to parts of this dipstick. As you can see from the picture above; there’s oil on the very top of it, but nothing in the middle section. So I tested my theory and went and stuck the dipstick in an old bottle used oil. It stuck all over it with no problems. i’m guessing it would probably take another half a quart or so to at least to get it up to the full mark. What the hell is the deal ? when Chevrolet specifies 6 quarts of oil for this engine, they clearly state that this is “with filter“.

1500 6.2L not running right

The ‘17 Sierra 1500 6.2L idle is a little weak and its knocking or ticking some. This is the first time I changed the oil, other times by dealer. Oil pressure looks normal. I put in the required 8qts 0w/20 dexos 1 Gen 2, dipstick is fine, put on the a new oul filter (same as others), and all Acdelco as it has been. Do these motors take a little bit to run correctly after an engine oil change? Never had a motor do this. -
Only 1500 miles since last oil change. Any advice if the oil reading on the dash is accurate or what it’s based on? Little bit of background: Bought the 2019 LT truck under 6k miles with oil changed before out the door, Returned when the oil reader on the dash was below 10% oil and mileage was at ~9400 miles, service date was Feb 2020 Now, since the pandemic, I haven’t really needed to drive since I’m work from home, I’ll make the grocery trips or pick up big item purchases. However now the oil reader on the dash is below 10% and since last service date I’ve only driven ~1500miles and it’s been about a year. Should I take it in because of the oil reading saying below 10% or should I wait until the usual 3k miles between oil changes? Thanks. -
I recently became acknowledged about the myth of the 3,000 mile oil change on newer vehicles with advanced oil. I own a 2006 silverado 2500 v8 6L WT and I change my oil every 5k miles with Mobil synthetic 5w-30. I cannot seem to find the exact information within my car manual or my Haynes/Chilton manual for the recommended interval between oil changes. Is there anywhere I can look up how often I can change my oil with the specific engine of within my truck? I have heard some oils can go 10k+ miles on some vehicles. I'd love to do less oil changes, but don't want to endanger my engine since oil changes are so quick though I'd love to save money too! Where can I find this exact information or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance! -

with more than 6100 miles gone by, I did buy some brake clean. $2.29 I suppose it is not exactly a free filter to use as reusable.. but well worth it. -
