  1. I have the 4.3 and running 33s (305-55-20) with a 3" level average on Highway doing the math dividing miles driven on trip till gas tops off I get 15.5. On a good day no wind I get 17. Lowest I gotten was 11 towing a 16ft trailer with roughly 5k lbs for 50 miles. I've towed over what is rated, sure is not recommended but the the truck handle it like a champ. 2. Put her in a music video ;p haha just took her out and shot some footage and played with final cut pro a little bit. Not an expert with editing as you can tell but it's fun trying! https://youtu.be/SQUXHfxM3JY

  5. I have 55w Ballast with 6000k bulbs. I love it. Lights up everything real nice. No issues if you get the relay and capacitors in the right order.

  6. Installed my 30" single row behind the grill yesterday. I need to get some pictures of the finished product with everything back on and the light on, etc. but you get the picture.

  7. It's definitely been done before. There's pics floating around here somewhere. For the grill, just YouTube how to remove grill on 2014 Silverado. 4 bolts on top, 2 in the wheel wells, and 4 underneath the grill. I took mine off and installed my LED bar yesterday. Wasn't difficult

  8. Thanks for the heads up. I feel like I am going into the lion's den just because I want a new truck.

  9. I guess it depends on who you believe...some say "yes" some say "no". It would also depend on what you wanted to get warranted, i.e., is it related to the tune or not. Personally I decided to roll the dice and haven't regretted it for one minute.

  11. Just change my cabin air filter and wow must say this was only 5,000miles not even my first oil change the filter itself was pricey $30+ but my truck started getting this weird we mop smell. I highly recommend each check ur filter (cabin) as it can be an easy replacement in less than 4mins and make a significant difference.

  12. First impression I'd say is a lot better than the stock Ranchos. It feels more composed; less sway and roll. Tomorrow I plan on pushing her a bit to really see the difference Josh

  13. Anyone seen the new cooper STT pro? New cooper mud tire. 1db louder than some all terrains which means they're incredibly quiet. Looks like a KM2 design with some conservation in the center tread. Cheap too 233$ for 285/70/17 and 260$ for 295/70/17.

  16. I had 2 really clean 800's..... an 04 2500 light duty crew short 4x4 and an 03 1500HD up until about a year ago. Both relatively low mile ( 75000 and 105000), no rust, and loaded cloth trucks ( Bose/buckets/digital climate/steering wheel controls/DL3's etc). I sold both because quite frankly I didn't drive either of them nor needed them.... I have 6 trucks as it is lol.... didn't need 2 more. 2 friends bought them so I see them often anyway and they are looked after. I still have my 05 1500 HD though and likely always will. It's a rotten mess...... needs front fenders, doors, box sides and who knows what else. Has 160000 miles on it but it was already rusting away when I got with 50000 miles 4.5 years ago. Always a western truck too so I dunno if it went in a sulphur plant or what before I got it. Even trucks unwashed don't usually rust this bad.... and it's weird rust too as its not the common spots rotting out. The paint just falls off of it and then of course the steel rots...... it's like the body is a sacrificial anode of some kind. Thus far I have collected 3 rust free doors and the passenger front fender. Oddly they are all white too like the truck lol. Now I just need one more door, drivers fender and a bed. Finally after searching for ages found a nice set of tan cloth buckets with the arm rests! Truck had a 40/20/40 stock( digital climate and steering wheel controls though) and I converted to a console shortly after purchase but never had the right seats.... and I like the arm rest. The frame scares me on it though lol...... I have been over the top anal at cleaning this heap attempting to stop corrosion but who knows..... time will tell when I pull the bed. I think it's actually okay but I check the tube crossmember closely. I have sentimental attachment to the old beast.... it started the business with me I have now and was easily the best vehicle I have ever owned so I will get it back to how it should look!.

  17. Just as a heads up: The junction box comes with a cover for the plug that these plug into. So I made my own plug out of the cover with a couple parts from other plugs i had laying around and sealed it with silicone. It works perfect and actually is weatherproof since the cover has all the gaskets and such installed. Not the prettiest thing but it works just fine. I drilled our the two holes that i needed to use for the wires. Note that the black is the ground terminal and the blue is the positive. These are the only two used for the plug. Hope this helps anyone who wants to do this without having the factory plug in hand.
