Honestly, to some degree I am fixing something that isn’t broken…..Yesterday it was 109f on the way home (25 miles highway and 4-5 in town) and it didn’t get over 183f. On the way to work today it was 70f and temp didn’t exceed 161. I initially started thinking about this (delete) just to prevent the stat from sticking but it does get down in the teens in the winter and this 8L90 shifts better when over 120f………

Before I tested it I removed the spoiler, cleaned it up and did it right. In theory it could work for the most part. Just hard to do and look good…(especially since it’s my wife’s truck)…..

I love auto 4wd during our Michigan winters. I’d rather have it over a level. But if there is a level that works with the auto 4wd I’d like to know.

Thanks GB. I just figured out that my truck has an external cooler so in theory (with a TBV delete) during super cold weather the fluid may not get above 60-80f.

Sounds normal. Diesel oils aren't blended the same as gas engine oils, and synthetic will smell different than conventional. Amsoil is one that has a very unique smell to it for example.

In my never ending quest to dress up this truck I ordered some chrome speaker bezels. They look nice but fitment was terrible would not recommend them. But after some massaging they came out nice. Can't resist a photo op

I have had my cover off and can confirm the switch is underneath the holes, another reason to plug the holes is the switch and linkage will freeze in the winter after getting soaked.

Which is a huge red flag in my mind for CV angles. Even though they look fine.

So crazy day. I was supposed to pickup my build today but got a call from the dealership GM instead. Asked me to come in, there had been an incident and he needed to speak with me. I got there and to my shock (pun intended) lightning had hit an old gas tank yesterday evening causing a huge explosion. My new truck was one vehicle away from the blast. I had already completed all of the paperwork on Friday so we had to figure out where to go from there. The dealership was great and end up making me an even better deal (I already had a great one) on an LTZ (my order was an LT). first pic is new truck. Second and third are my ordered truck. The rest are damage from the explosion.
