  1. Do you have something covering the sensor on the dash?
  2. I had something similar when onstar directions voice was coming through the radio as it was very low, while the voice was coming through the radio I turned up the radio volume knob and it got louder, try it and see if that works. You can only turn it up while the command voice is heard.
  3. All that info is in your owners manual as it tells you how to flat tow or dinghy towing.
  4. It's called the westside lean on the western side of the country.
  5. It doesn't matter if you drive around in L9 or get the DFM deactivater the components are still being used just not working. Back when the bad virus of lifter failure was happening people ran around in L9 and had the eliminater and still had lifter failure due to the manufacturer of the lifters and components didn't properly heat treat the lifters and components. The bad run of the lifters was September 2020 to March of 2021 engine build date not the truck build date.
  6. Sound to me you bought a cheap set of Chinese balljoints, I would get a set of quality joints like from Moog etc even if you take it to another inspection station and they pass it I would never trust a set of joints that already have play in them they should be tight and no play. Grease is not going to remove the play..
  7. Yes it is part of the suspension. Leveling kits make the CV axles operate beyond the specs that they are designed to do. The dealer will see the leveling kit and deny warranty on the CV axles.
  8. Now why in the hell does one need all that stereo in a truck. I play my radio so I can hear it in the truck not to play it so everyone outside can hear and advertise the hey look at me look at me and my stereo I have.
  9. You are 100% correct I believe Toyota said only 1.5% of there vehicles sold worldwide were EV's. Gm delayed plans on the ev truck and Tesla halted plans to build a factory in Mexico and the list goes on due to sharply decline sales across all EV markets. Used EV'S inventory on the lots are increasing as it was 55% in 2021 to 75% today, nobody wants a used EV.
  10. I just dont understand this reply just to see if your cats are plug by drilling holes or torching holes in the exhaust pipe before the cat now you have ruined the exhaust system by doing that and have to replace the pipe instead of just replacing the cat. Say the cat is not plugged now you have to fix what you did, if the cat is plugged now you have to replace the cat and the exhaust pipe. To me that not the way to do it to see if you have a plugged cat.
  11. Yes they will as it's a suspension modification that they didn't install and your wasting your time taking it there. Also the dealer will flag the truck in there computer system and other dealers will see the flag and refuse suspension work due to it not being dealer installed.
  12. Just like Lexus is a Toyota Infinity is a Nissan and Acura is a Honda.
  13. Ahh ok then yes its a bad job didn't know you had the door repainted, take it back to them and tell them you had to replace the molding and that was what happened when you removed it, they'll know why the paint came off. They didn't prep it right before paint. Probably give you a break on the repair it's worth a shot.
  14. If the factory primer is still intact I would just wipe the factory primer area down with some alcohol then tape that area off creating a box around the area to be painted with a couple of coats then install the body molding back on after it dries.
  15. Not going to tell ya shoulda woulda coulda speech but if it were me I would prep the area tape it off get some Duplicolor spray and paint over then put the body molding back on. Depending apon your color and body shop they will spray the whole door then you might see a color difference between the fender and rear cab door depending on how good the body shop is I would guess 800 to 1000 bucks more or less.
  16. Probably looking at in the neighborhood of $3000.00 to have it done.
  17. Launching in 4H and shifting to 2H on the fly is not going to happen as the drivetrain is under load it won't go the 2H until the load is off of the drivetrain like letting off the throttle. Yes you can push the button but the shift wont happen until the load is removed.
  18. I don't know what year your Ram was but all new vehicles come with torque management to protect the drivetrain. When my 5.3 was new it learns your driving style with the tranny but after I put about 1000 miles on or give our take it really woke up power and shifting wise, I love my 5.3 power and more than enough for what I need. Iam with you on the 4 cylinder motor as I don't want a 4 cylinder in a truck I don't care if it had 500hp but its always revving rpms and can't get past the sound of it. I could hear it now from people " Hey man nice truck what motor you have ummm its a 4cylinder" WHAT? But iam not downing it but it's not for me. Thats why there are choices.
  19. Why did they need your permission to put dye in the motor that's they find leaks using a UV light, if you would have said no they would have said "ok have a nice day" and as far as a tranny drop that's how the rear main seal is replaced no big deal been there with my 2015 HD I owned. The way you come off on here you will nothing out of the dealer.
  20. I agree with Gangly that it's in rhythm with the flashers I would unplug the rear light bar and see if it still does it. Might be the lightbar itself buzzing.
  21. Cut the bolt heads off and remove step bar from the truck drill out the bolt studs stuck in the holes get a Helicoil and install in the drilled holes. Plenty of videos on YouTube on how to do this. You can buy a helicoil kit that includes the tap to install the helicoil. Hope this helps. Another option is to have someone tig weld the bracket to the step bar. You can tig weld aluminum.
  22. Leveling kit in the front I see a spacer on top of the strut so that's why you see the rear low I don't see anything as far as a lift on the rear suspension. All trucks have a rake rear higher than the front when new for hauling and when a front leveling kit is put on the truck it will sit level unloaded but when weight is added to the bed the rear will drop looking low in the rear as your seeing, without a front leveling kit when weight is added to the rear the truck will look level. If you took off the front leveling kit the truck will look more level with the weight in the bed.
  23. Biggest thing is the wiring to have it function and getting the BCM programed to work and be ready to dish out about 3-4 grand just for the gate and have it painted to match the truck, I have seen some used from anywhere between $2500-to 3500 but still have to have it painted or you get lucky and find one the same color as your truck but same goes for the programming.
  24. Same here, the sub in my Silverado and the wife's Tahoe hits hard that it vibrates the inside and outside mirrors.
  25. Hell of a good job but I would put something to protect the bare metal where you cut out the metal for rust as its exposed now. Looks factory.
