  1. When I traded 06 in, they had it sold to a wholesaler, detailed at the wholesale lot and for sale the next day.. Good luck my friend, I hope GM makes it right
  2. I drove from Fort Myers to Savannah yesterday and saw probably 100+ Silverado/sierras on the road. If everyone was having vibration problems with their new trucks, I assure you they wouldn't be driving them on the highway if they had other vehicles... My truck is vib free after new tires and now another is saying the same thing... I have 2 14 Chevy vehicles now and the only issue I have with them is my seat shifts ever so slightly and I know how to fix that myself.. I just rotated the tires on my Silverado and still smooth... My impala has 13000 miles and Silverado 9500. If I were to put money on it, I still think its the packing within the driveshafts... We need to set up a donation account and have someone get their driveshaft replaced themselves at a reputable shaft shop and see if it solves anything lol. I think the aluminum shafts are the issue... Anyone with a steel shaft vibrating? My issue was a tire out of round or balance... Im getting up there in mileage now and I'll keep reporting. I still think vibrations in the steering wheel is def the tires, vibrations in the rear could be either tires or shaft... Maybe it has something to do with the weight of the tires? I went to a 10 ply and they're considerably heavier. Cooper at2 tires probably the same? I have the z71 18 inch rims if that means anything? I had vibrations so bad with my first with 20's... The dealer said when I was dealing with my first truck, couldn't order 20's for anything because of an issue with them... My LTZ and several other had the standard 18's or z71 18's for about a month and a half....
  3. It very well can be the axle had the mounts welded on slightly off too. This explains why after they completely replaced my rear end and nothing happened... This might be like Nissan had back in 04-05 on the Titans. People have checked the angle though and said it was OK...?? Keep us posted on the shims... If it fixes it, please report back here.
  4. Thinking about it, the truck would just track slightly to one side.. Idk
  5. Or maybe the spring mounts were welded to the frame slightly off?
  6. Has anyone checked to see if maybe their axle is slightly crooked? Take measurements on the leaf springs and see if one side is further forward or behind the other? Could this cause a vibration in the tires? Its a shot in the dark and maybe because they're all pre marked, and not aligned at the factory.
  7. This could possibly the issue for those with steering wheel vibrations. Its been said before though
  8. Good luck. Trust me, u and everyone that has the shakes has my sympathy. I'm glad I got a second that's smooth. I'm wondering if the wind at higher speeds going in between the bed and outer quarter paneling is causing the body panels to have a harmonic shake just like lowering one of your rear windows?
  9. Exactly what I did when I got rid of my first shakerado. I couldn't be happier with my second.
  10. Yea, I haven't been on the site lately but I've been extremely active in this thread. I would hose clamp or bolt the adaptive valve on your exhaust open to save you the headache of the squeaky exhaust.
  11. I was saying in other words, you're lucky. I was one of the few who went through 30 days of my truck in a shop to have it "bought back". I gave them another shot because in love the way these new trucks look. My first had new tires, a set of tires off another truck in the lot, 3 shafts, a complete rear end(including rotors/calipers), engine shims, and about 40 hours of my time back and forth to the dealer, test rides ect. I've tried shifting to neutral, driving in M5, m4, and all this to never fix it. I even bought a bunch of sand at Home Depot to test for frame beaming... Weight in the bed made NO difference at all. The dealer pushed GM for trade in assistance cash so they didn't have to work on it anymore... On top of the vibration, my headlamps were always foggy, my seat moved, uneven tailgate cables, HVAC lights didn't work, 3rd brake light didn't have an illuminated switch that worked, exhaust squeaked going from v4-v8... My new truck had the slightest vibration, and after I put my nittos on, 7500 miles of smoothness. My only issue with the second is the seat started moving at 8700.
  12. Several topics here and a tsb to fix.
  13. Some start at 10k plus... Who knows? I wish u good luck... Hope u knocked on wood after u typed that
  14. My first truck whined so bad and vibrated. My newer one, almost no whine, no vibration
  15. 8700 miles in and my seat started moving. Mostly in low speed maneuvers such as parking lots, in and out of my driveway. I'll be hose clamping mine very shortly.
  16. Bull$#1+... I hope your legal actions get u out of it quickly
  17. We'll see how many 8 speed 6.2's shake. People are starting to buy 15's and I'm sure they'll find this thread if their trucks shake...
  18. Tore the carpet out of the Triton. Kinda semi restoring it. New seat skins, carpet, fortrex 112 trolling motor, 2 power pole blades, control and cables.
  19. Went and picked up my new to me bass boat
  20. Has anyone had their leafs replaced recently? My whole rear drive line was replaced except the leafs... Maybe with all the popping and such, the leafs are the problem. I don't recall anyone having them done
  21. They even sprayed the diff, and 0 rust at all on it either.
  22. You can clearly see the clear wax
  23. It was an even trade but the rebates on the Ltz were less, so I ended up paying roughly $800 more for the LTZ Z71.
