  1. Bought her brand new, but she needed new tires this year so I decided to give her an upgrade. 2014 Z71 leveled with an RC 2.5" kit. Currently sitting on 18x9 +1 Fuel Couplers (black machined w/dark tint) wrapped in 285/65/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Absolutely no rubbing, and I am in love with how the wheel/tire set up turned out.
  2. What size tires and what brand/model did you go with? Also, any rubbing or cutting involved? I am looking at getting these exact wheels on my 2014 crew cab and want to avoid rubbing or cutting.
  3. I'm having issues with my Morimoto kit, and I believe it may be the ground. Where do you all have your kit grounded to? I have mine grounded on the black bars at a 45 degree angle on the sides. I thought about sanding some paint off to get a better connection, but am really hesitant to do so.
  4. Do you have a PN for the A/T grille? I'll be picking one up in the next few months
  5. Do these mount to frame or rocker? And what is the difference? I've been told to get frame mounted running boards by a few people
  6. Are these Fuel Offroad Maverick wheels? I love the look, thinking about picking up a set for my Sierra
  7. You make me regret getting my Sierra in white and not black.. Love the setup you have!
  8. Anyone have any issues with water getting under the hood? I did a quick mounting job for the ballasts (1 near airbox and 1 in empty space where 2nd battery should go), and I'm wondering if I should worry about water getting in to the ballasts. It's quite cold up in Minnesota, and I was going to properly mount them this spring since I don't have a heated garage anymore. My primary concern is getting car washes. The engine bay seems like it'll keep the water out, as do the ballasts, but I thought I'd ask anyways... Better to be safe than sorry.
  9. Do you have pics? I put in my 35w 6000k kit this past week and am curious now...
  10. So far so good with the new harness. Does anyone have pictures of where the mounted ballasts and HD relay at? I tried looking through this thread, but after 20 pages it got tedious. Would love some ideas on where to mount them, and the cables as well.
  11. I've got a Sierra SLE. I thought it was a little goofy that they turned off when I put the vehicle into park, but turned on when I put it in drive. I've never seen that before.
  12. I installed the new relay and capacitor, and so far so good. Haven't had any lights stay on or flash like before. It's only been half a day, so I'll monitor it for the next week. Just wondering, do your HID's stay on as DRL's, or do they turn off? I was driving in to work today, and pulled up to the building and my HID's were on while it was light out. I put the truck into Park and they turned off. Is this a normal function? I've never really noticed it before, so it could be me questioning something that is really nothing. Regardless, I want to make sure I've got my I's dotted and T's crossed before I say it's good to go.
  13. I've got a new relay and capacitor link coming tomorrow - Just thought I'd ask and see if it lead us anywhere different. Hoping the new relay fixes the issue, I'd like a working set of lights!
  14. My Morimoto kit is acting very strange. First, it didn't want to turn off when I turned the vehicle off. This is still an issue, but only happens 50% of the time. Now, the HID's do not light up when I hit the unlock button (they previously turned on for 30 seconds or so). Also, they are not on as my DRL's, but have been on in the past. I could hear a buzzing sound when I had my truck on, and the lights in "auto" position (HID's were off at this time). As soon as I turned the lights to the On position, the buzzing stopped. Very peculiar issues. Can anyone with Morimoto's chime in? Do yours turn on when you hit the unlock button? Do they run as DRL's, or is there something in the relay that disables this?
  15. I spoke with TRS and they're sending me another relay and cap link. I'm going to swap them on Wednesday once they arrive. It's about 50/50 that they don't turn off as I drove home and they were fine once I shut the truck off. I'll keep you guys posted
  16. They didn't turn off in the 10 minutes I left them. I had to disconnect from battery so they didn't drain it
  17. I installed the Sierra Morimoto Elite HID kit in my 2014 Sierra, but my lights stay on after I turn the truck off and remove they keys. The lights are set to "auto", but they still stay on. Has anyone ran into this before?
  18. I'm looking to pick up a set of HID's this week, I'm pretty sure this is what I'll need for my 14' Sierra SLE: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/hid-systems/morimoto-elite-hid-system-sierra-low-beam.html#.VFo_0sl0b2k Can anyone shed some light if I'll need any extra cables, or if I should be looking at a different set from TRS?
  19. Thanks for the info - I was planning on going with the 2" kit
  20. I am new to owning a truck, so can someone shed some light on the ball-bearing problem with installing a leveling kit? I hate that the front end dips down, and have been looking into installing one, but want to know what I'm getting into before I dive in.
  21. Glad to hear I'm not the only one having this problem - I'll be bringing mine in next week to have this done. Such a shame
  22. For the Morimoto kit, the Can-Bus cancels out the error code, correct? Just want to make sure that if I buy the 9006 kit that I won't need anything else to install them
  23. I've been on the fence about what wheels i was going to get... You sir just made up my mind
