  1. Yes, it is a Texas Edition Silverado. It came with the "Silverado" de-badged from the factory.
  2. But we gave you our emails.
  3. I could feel it on my'14 V8, but not at all on my '14 V6. I use cruise control religiously! Every time I hit 25 mph I hit the cruise and pretty much just accelerate with my thumb. I get way better mpg and mine stays in V4 mode more. I just got the truck because it looks sooo cool. If I could get a "range" or AFM device that would keep it in V4 mode, I would install it. I want the awesome looks of this truck, with the fuel economy of a Prius.
  4. I had 4x2 5.3L Dbl Cab with steal arms.
  5. This discussion has me paranoid!!! Every little imperfection in the road has me thinking I picked the wrong truck. I had to take my '14 Durango to work just to see if it is the newly paved hwy that sucks or my truck. Fortunately it's just the road. My truck is smooth and silent (except for on the new multi million dollar hwy). I hope they get this worked out for everyone, so they can finally put out Amother recall or TSB. On a side note GM is sucking, because they're not going to fix my led ring on the HVAC knob or my tailgating cable... Still waiting for them to tell me they're not going to replace my bent/missing chrome bumper!
  6. Spouse fight! ^^^^
  7. I haven't heard it. 11000 total miles between two '14 Silverado's. If you search the exhaust section of the forums, you can see that a bolt can be put in the valve to hold it open. Then it should make the noise.
  8. I like that there aren't too many post on here! It makes us more exclusive!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah, I like it! I traded my '14 5.3L for my '14 4.3L. I was reading one of the forum topics and apparently my V6 can tow more weight than some V8's because of my gears. I don't really know for sure though (or care, really) I just got it because it looks sooooo sweat! I just wish it sounded more like my '04 V6 Silverado. That truck sounded great! This new one is just whisper quiet. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah, I was just kidding too... I do like my MPG a lot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. How do I make my 4.3L sound like a 6.2L? (Without buying a new '14 Silverado. I already traded in my '14 5.3L) Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!
  12. My 4.3 was struggling to switch to V4 mode. So I filled up w/ 91 Octane top tier gas and it is performing a lot better! My average was 17 mpg with the low grade 87 Octane, and now my average for the 400 mile average is 20.0 mpg. Once I run another tank through it, I should be 21or 22+ mpg. Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!
  13. Something like "Shake, Rattle, and Roll!" as the motto!!! Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!
  14. How did that setup affect your MPG? Either way it looks great! Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!
  15. I've worked with an uncountable amount of Motor Sergeants and Army light wheeled mechanics. I would trust them with my life.... But a HMMWV or LMTV or any tactical vehicle isn't a Silverado. That's Tahoe person's problem IS wheel/tire related. Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!
  16. those lights are awesome! I'm trying to hold out and wait for the price to drop. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. That looks like a Brownstone Colored truck. I know line-x does a semi Colormatch. Did you see if they have a brown color? Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!
  18. Just an idea: look into hydro printing. You could every piece of your interior for $200ish (depends on the shop. Could be a lot less.) and they would all match. Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!
  19. Just detailed at the dealership! Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!
  20. Mine came de-badged like this from the dealership too. I think it looks good like this! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. My '14 5.3L double cab started this around 9000-10000 miles. I fixed it, by trading it in for a 4.3L crew cab.
  22. Mine came with the "Silverado" de-badged or never really installed at all. There were about 150 Silverado on the lot with out them. The dealership said that's how they were coming from the factory! Go Army! GO ORDNANCE!!!
  23. before & after Black Plasti Dip. Stock, all the way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I have had two 14 Silverado's and haven't really notice it. One 5.3L double cab built 9/13 (10,500 miles) and one 4.3L Crew cab built 11/13 (400 miles), both out of Mexico. The 5.3L had Continental CrossContact LX20 w/ EcoPlus Tech (nitro filled), the 4.3L has Goodyear Eagle LS-2. Both are on the 20" Texas edition wheels. Both ride very smooth on the highway. I thought I felt vibration on the 4.3L w/ Eagle LS-2's for about 5 seconds while going 73 mph around a highway curve. I read this and other forums for about a day and was freaking out! I've tried to replicate the vibration (which feels like a balance issue) again and have not felt it since. I've tried 4cyl and 8cyl mode and it still rides smooth. I know this doesn't help y'all's situation, just thought some addition info on other's wheels and truck my help ease (or further frustrate) someone mind. I think the continental tires feel like a smother ride even though I had the inflated to a higher pressure 35-38. The Eagle LS-2s are steady at 31-32 psi. Good luck to everyone with issues!
