  1. Nice Rims ... looks like the suspension kicks azz on that bike too ... good luck with it.
  2. I have been using 89 since day one ... Truck runs great on it ... I don't see a need for 92-93.
  3. Yeah, nice .... You don't see many RC with the SB these days ... I had one back in '95 ... Black F150 with a 5.8 ... Good luck with it cuz.
  4. Kawi 750 Brute Force - Honda 300EX
  5. I just got my can installed ... went in real easy .. no leaks .. I used 3/8 fuel injection hose for the connects. Also ran a can of CRC intake valve cleaner through the motor before I installed the can. I figured why put the can on with cruddy valves .... hopefully they will stay clean ..
  6. Sounds like a good setup ... Going to go with it ... Thanks for the info
  7. So are you recommending multiple layers of the mesh ... I see in the pic that you have a few laid out ... was not sure if they were spares or they were all going in the can ? Also if you did multiple layers do you feel it would restrict the vacum from the intake some or does it seem to be doing a good job for you ?
  8. I just picked up one of these ADD W1 cans for my 5.3L . Just was wondering what you guys that have them installed are using for the Media Filtering ? I saw at the top of this thread someone was using 3M heavy duty steel wool. Is there anything else worth trying ?
  9. No ... Everything lines up perfect .... The only thing I did was I took the rubber insulation that comes with the kit and used it on the front of the bed where the cover sits to give me an extra seal against water. They say to use it around the tailgate but I opted not to. After a few heavy downpours I did see a trickle of water in the bed but nothing that would cause any damage to the cargo back there.
  10. I just installed a LoRoll on my Silverado that has both the caps and factory bed liner. You have to pull the rubber insulation off the rails or they won't sit correctly against the bed caps. Once you do that and get the rails bolted up the cover will fit nice and tight ... I like the cover and the quality is great. Can't beat the price either ... Think I paid $269.00 delivered .... Install took like 30 minutes.
  11. Not really protecting much of anything but here she is.
  12. Could be your exhaust is starting to break in and flow a little better and now the v4 drone is a little more noticeable... I noticed mine drone is a little louder since I initially opened my flap also. I only have a little over 3K on the truck. I run the trans in M5 when I am not on the highway so the v4 won't engage.
  13. I have a few post on this thread that are totally legit and only reference the issues ... That's why I went off when people come on here and say how much they love Ford. That's just a kick in the gut ... People need to grow some balls and address it when it happens ... He is not the first person to get burnt with a lemon, it happens every day cuz.
  14. Yeah, I may have been rude but just to make a point to this guy... Listen, I just traded a 2012 Dodge RAM Hemi Bighorn for my 2014 Silverado. I had a lot of issues with the Ram and even went through the Lemon Law process with it. I am real happy with the Chevy but you don't see me posting on the Dodge RAM Gen 4 site and telling everyone how great Chevy is and how I made the best decision getting rid of the truck when everyone on that site is driving a RAM. I just call it as I see it and you guys are the trolls here ...
  15. Yeah okay ... That's not how I am reading it ...
  16. Yo cuz ... Nobody on this site gives a crap about your PoS F150 and how great you think it is. Your posting on the wrong site.
  17. I am in the same boat as you ... my vibes were never that bad but I could feel them intermittenly ... I know for a fact that some of the shake was the AFM kicking in when driving at lower speeds. I just hit 3000 miles and my truck is 95% free of vibration. Not sure what happen, maybe the transmission finally got past the leaning stage or the motor is starting to break in. I do drive in M5 when not on the highway but thats just so the AFM doesn't engage. It seems to be getting smoother as I put on the miles .. go figure ?
  18. A few more inches of snow and you will need to brake out the 4x4 ... Is that a Raptor ? We are still waiting for some of the white stuff here ... 64 degrees today - gone to drop into the teens later in the week.
  19. You are absolutely correct with your diagnosis .... That's why I run M5 when I am driving 50 mph or less. If I am on the highway cruising at 70-75 mph and v4 kicks in, its works fine. I had a 2012 Ram 5.7 with a 6 speed trans and it did the same exact thing ... Had to keep that in M5 when driving city ... When it went into v4 at 45 mph the whole truck would start to vibrate ... AFM just is not perfected yet IMO.
  20. I agree with you but when some dude comes on a GM Trucks site and starts posting pics of Ford trucks and how great they are and trashing GM cause he got burnt with a lemon, that not cool either.
  21. So your saying that the Ford STX work trucks come with 20 inch polished aluminum wheels, running boards and painted bumpers, because the one I drove in did. Just for the record, the pic you posted of that Ford dash looks cheap too. Guess that's a STX huh ?
  22. One more thing ... That instrument and gauge panel looks cheap compared to the Chevy/GMC setup. I was in my buddies 2014 Ford STX and the entire interior is all cheap looking plastic. The new Fords really are junk.
  23. I checked mine and it had a good amount of flex before it engaged. Loosened the (2) 10 mil. nuts and popped a large metal washer behind the bracket. This took out about 95% of the flex. Prior to making this change I really had to mash the pedal to get the truck to get up and go. I was starting to get use to the mushie feel but like it much better with this make shift mod. I was really surprised how crappy the pedal setup is. Thanks for the info.
