  1. They had to offset the 10HP the black paint gave the truck by increasing drag, leaving the doors hanging out a bit. Either that, or they're too f'in lazy to fix the issue.
  2. You do you. Your truck, do it how you want.
  3. Used my truck to get this out of storage. First boating weekend of the season. Going to have to chase the sun a bit as it's going to be rainy all weekend at home.
  4. If they're going to treat the frame with rust inhibitor and correct the issue, no. If you are getting a new frame... different story. It took 5 tries for the Tech's at my dealership to road force balance my tires correctly, not sure I'd want them doing a frame off.
  5. Yes, that's about when the first black OEM shock on my 2014 puked oil. The second one went at 32,000 miles.
  6. It's a peltier cooler, that differential is pretty much standard for them. When I drove over the road many moons go I had an igloo plug in cooler that was peltier, would maintain about a 20° differential as well.
  7. Used it to get the boat to the lake for some GoPro Hero7 Black testing.
  8. My 2018 spent 2 days at the dealer because of this. I can't recreate it and the techs they send out play dumb and "don't feel it". I can sometimes get mine to do it under ~75% acceleration climbing an incline (think on ramp going up).
  9. I've had nightmares that scare me less than that image does. You are a brave, brave man and this forum is made better by your presence.
  10. My truck came with a drop in liner that I knew wasn't going to stay there. Finally settled on a Bedrug and got it installed last night. I have a tonneau cover as well so the LED lighting will probably be next weekend's project.
  11. No, they don't. They came installed on my truck and leave a lot to be desired. My next project is to string up some LED's around the bed and wire them into the OEM harness.
  12. Take one of the pieces you cut off the end and nail it to the other end, it makes it longer.
  13. I used a 2X6, cut into thirds and placed 1 section behind 2 sections to make it 'adjustable' for width.
  14. I think you mean https://www.theantennasource.com/ The site you 'link' to looks a little shady.
  15. Go to a site that sells running boards and find a set that fits your truck. Put in your friend's truck specs and see if the same part number for the same boards comes up.
  16. Thank you, Sir. Love the look of that truck.
  17. What's the offset on those wheels?
  18. 1. Topper 2. Buy the one that makes you happy, especially if you're keeping the truck for a while. That said, the second you write the check, you own it and it's essentially only valuable to you, especially if it's color matched. My wife convinced me to buy one for my 2014 and I hated it through and through. When I traded it in on my 2018, the dealership told me I had to take it off and do something with it. I told them if they wanted me to buy the 2018 they were taking it or I was going to drive around back and roll it off into one of their dumpsters. Needless to say, they took the topper. If we were having this conversation last September I'd have driven to Colorado and made you one hell of a deal on the graphite metallic Leer topper I had.
  19. That is one awesome looking truck. Well done.
  20. I'd take a serious look at the N-Fab hoops. I had them on my 2014 and they were perfect for me. There when I or someone else needed them, small enough to be out of the way when I didn't. The finish on them was durable. I had them installed for 4+ years and they were just starting to rust at the joints when I traded the truck in last year. I would have happily taken them to the local Line-X dealer and had them sprayed for another 5-10 years of use.
  21. I'd definitely rather pay him $120 and keep everything OEM than go hacking harnesses adding resistors and stuff.
  22. When I get a chance to call and talk to him at the dealership I'll let you know what he quotes me. I think their hourly is $120, he cut that in half for me once in my 2014 when I was trying to add carplay because he was curious to see if what I was doing would work too.
  23. So if you have this done, you can run LED's without the hyperflash? Does it screw up if you have regular incandescent bulbs in? I'm taking my truck in Friday for service and I've thought about having this done, just wasn't sure what all it entailed. If you don't mind, what's the dealer charging you to do this?
  24. In case anyone is thinking about buying the Havoc HS2 hoop steps, read this post first.
  25. What are you using to enable the cargo lights being able to be turned on while moving?
