  1. Don't think there should be any AC lines in the roof of any trucks. No ceiling/roof vents or cooling system for the rear like the SUV's. Looked like an SUV, our Tahoe has the same setup, works great to cool our 4 huskies down.
  2. Specialty tools are cool, especially when they can solve a problem for you!!! Good luck!
  3. So, I was close on my first guess yesterday. Are you going to put everything back together, and then strip it again if it is bad. Could they tell you if there is a way to test it first?
  4. I am lost here, are you working on an SUV, or truck? And welcome to the site.
  5. A pillar is the windshield, B pillar would be the doors, and the C pillar would be the rear window area, hope that makes sense.
  6. Found this from a post of the previous body style: If neither of those things are causing the concern, it may be an RCDLR antenna or RCDLR issue. They are located behind the "C" pillar trim on the passenger side of the vehicle, if you privy a look.
  7. That is a bad a$$ looking truck, looks right at home in that environment!!!
  8. Pretty confident you will have to go to the dealer to have the BCM programmed. Receiver should be in the back corner of your cab, passenger side, by rear window.
  9. They attach your leaf springs to the frame, coming in different sizes, so you can raise or lower the rear of the truck. Main function is they articulate back and forth, and up and down so the spring pack can move freely without being fixed to the frame. The yellow part in the video is the shackle.
  10. Picture couldn't hurt at this point. Is your dealer stand alone GMC, or do they have other brands also? You could also see what they would cash you out for, then take the money and buy what you want. It is a good looking rig, they would have no problems selling it after it is fixed.
  11. Tell them this is your last GM vehicle you will ever own. Embellish a story of how you have already looked at a new Ford, and really like the new Toyota's. They do not like to knowingly loose customers to the competition, at this point you can only gain money on the repair. Also, if you do not already have a claim, open one and really stress how unhappy your are at this point.
  12. Welcome to the site. Did they happen to tell what all will happen with the recall work/parts replaced?
  13. I see the legal system is just as bad in Cali as it is here in Washington. Thankfully you all survived, and time will heal most wounds, either mentally or physically. March will be the time to extract your anger on the "clown" in court, hope that you are satisfied with the outcome after this long of a wait.
  14. Yea, I remember the photos of your truck after the wreck. That is why I thought it was that one and not your new rig. How are you and your family doing health wise?
  15. I thought your truck was a 4WD? Is this from your old truck? Which was a 2WD?
  16. Truck has to have the RKE equipment installed, power locks are part of it, but not the main component. There is a "transmitter" in the truck (if equipped) that receives the signal from the fobs and controls the functions.
  17. That is a Great Looking truck!!!
  18. Welcome to the site. Did your truck come with the equipment for keyless entry installed already? Did you buy the fobs after you bought the truck?
  19. Think it all depends on where you are driving, if these were NASCAR trucks, probably would make a huge difference. City driving, you will never notice a difference, and if you are loosing a 1.0 - 1.5 on the freeway, but like how your truck looks without it you won't even care. Day 2 mods are still the best thing about any vehicle, you make it your own.
  20. There are two, a 6 speaker, and then the 7 version is the upgraded factory Bose. I have two large "tweeters", more like a big mid-range in the dash, two larger mids in the front doors, and then two slightly smaller mid speakers in the rear doors. 7th speaker in this set up is the sub woofer located under the center console.
  21. Yes, and no they do not, not sure about the 19's and 20's. Last truck I had with that set up was my 08.
  22. Added some dirt to the exterior. 100 at the Pacific Ocean over the weekend.
  23. Cordless Makita Sawzall did the trick for me. If you do not mind, how much to powder coat them, and what type of finish will it be?
  24. Good call sir! I feel less intelligent after having participated in this thread.....
  25. Buy a set from GM, only around $100.00 and the quality is very good. I have a set (one) on my 18 and it does not even have a chip in it. Removal will require cutting the drivers side bolt, passenger side is pretty strait forward. If you buy a set from GM, they come with all new hardware.
