  1. Welcome to the site. Going to be kidding when I say this, but light it on fire (somewhere safe, out in the woods) and collect the insurance money and buy yourself a GM truck. All problems will be solved in your life.....
  2. Welcome to the site. I would open a claim/complaint with GM, your truck was in the "shop" for more than 30 days, so if the fix fails, you are in Lemon Law/Buy Back territory. Don' settle, you have a new truck that you are making payments on while it sits idle at the dealership.
  3. Got it. I kind of like the orange contrast, just because being an LED it is very bright clear light. How close is the intensity compared to large DLR/LED's right below the headlight? Does it look the same?
  4. You are very welcome. It would look awesome with the black LTZ Z71 grill and headlight bezels. What are klears?
  5. Great looking truck!!! Any details to share?
  6. How about the 6 speeds? Ok for them? Does your dealership perform this type of service?
  7. Any problems since you have had it done? Seems like most on here do not like this method. We had our Tahoe done this way and everything seems to be just fine afterwards.
  8. I was talking about when you hook up the machine to the cooler lines and flush the system, pushing out the old fluid with new, not changing the filter or dropping the pan.
  9. So, what are your feelings on the "flushes" that most dealers offer? Better to get all of the fluid, or most of it with a drain? How much debris is in the filter at 45000 miles? And do all of the trucks have filters in them? Different stories about what members are being told about them.
  10. Don't think there should be any AC lines in the roof of any trucks. No ceiling/roof vents or cooling system for the rear like the SUV's. Looked like an SUV, our Tahoe has the same setup, works great to cool our 4 huskies down.
  11. Specialty tools are cool, especially when they can solve a problem for you!!! Good luck!
  12. So, I was close on my first guess yesterday. Are you going to put everything back together, and then strip it again if it is bad. Could they tell you if there is a way to test it first?
  13. I am lost here, are you working on an SUV, or truck? And welcome to the site.
  14. A pillar is the windshield, B pillar would be the doors, and the C pillar would be the rear window area, hope that makes sense.
  15. Found this from a post of the previous body style: If neither of those things are causing the concern, it may be an RCDLR antenna or RCDLR issue. They are located behind the "C" pillar trim on the passenger side of the vehicle, if you privy a look.
  16. That is a bad a$$ looking truck, looks right at home in that environment!!!
  17. Pretty confident you will have to go to the dealer to have the BCM programmed. Receiver should be in the back corner of your cab, passenger side, by rear window.
  18. They attach your leaf springs to the frame, coming in different sizes, so you can raise or lower the rear of the truck. Main function is they articulate back and forth, and up and down so the spring pack can move freely without being fixed to the frame. The yellow part in the video is the shackle.
  19. Picture couldn't hurt at this point. Is your dealer stand alone GMC, or do they have other brands also? You could also see what they would cash you out for, then take the money and buy what you want. It is a good looking rig, they would have no problems selling it after it is fixed.
  20. Tell them this is your last GM vehicle you will ever own. Embellish a story of how you have already looked at a new Ford, and really like the new Toyota's. They do not like to knowingly loose customers to the competition, at this point you can only gain money on the repair. Also, if you do not already have a claim, open one and really stress how unhappy your are at this point.
  21. Welcome to the site. Did they happen to tell what all will happen with the recall work/parts replaced?
  22. I see the legal system is just as bad in Cali as it is here in Washington. Thankfully you all survived, and time will heal most wounds, either mentally or physically. March will be the time to extract your anger on the "clown" in court, hope that you are satisfied with the outcome after this long of a wait.
  23. Yea, I remember the photos of your truck after the wreck. That is why I thought it was that one and not your new rig. How are you and your family doing health wise?
  24. I thought your truck was a 4WD? Is this from your old truck? Which was a 2WD?
  25. Truck has to have the RKE equipment installed, power locks are part of it, but not the main component. There is a "transmitter" in the truck (if equipped) that receives the signal from the fobs and controls the functions.
