  1. I love the acc even when towing. Driving down a 2 lane road for a 100 miles or even 5 miles with cars ahead of you speeding up and slowing down, it's so nice not having adjust your speed constantly.
  2. I could see my bed cover being a big solar charger while my truck is roasting in the bright FL sunshine.
  3. I think it would be great if they could make it go 400 - 500 miles. That's plenty for my typical week and if I pull the boat it's only a 15 min drive to the ramp. Charging needs to be quicker especially on trips and the infrastructure will need to be built to handle the charging all over the interstates. I would def look at it but let others be the guinea pig.
  4. Last truck I was able to hard wire and tuck the wire into the headliner and run it down the A pillar. The new truck the headliner is tight so tucking it in will require losing up the headliner some which may be a PIA. Thinking about just putting the Escort on the drivers side upper corner to make it easier. If you can post pics of where to wire into camera or somewhere up there would be helpful. I've got the Denali with rear camera mirror and sunroof.
  5. That sucks, as I was hoping on cruising at 112.
  6. Traded the 2015 Denali for the 2020.
  7. This Wed my truck (2015 with 44k miles) starts blowing warm air. I've got an appt with the local dealership Thurs morning for an oil change (coupon is less than what I can buy oil and filter for) and an error message so timing is somewhat good. They tell me my condenser went out and and the bad new is it's nationally back-ordered and the good news is they have one. Cost is $1400 and they can get it done. A good buddy of mine has an Auto A/C shop and does all my work but it's frickin hot and humid in SW Florida so I just had the dealership do it. I'm too busy to run around and need the truck this weekend to pull the boat. Picked it up this morning and it's nice and cold again. If it happens again I'll look at an aftermarket one if time permits. Still have my old 2005 Tahoe with 225k miles and the original condenser.
  8. Yikes, thats a long time for a tranny. My dealership had me drop off my truck the morning the new torque converter came in and I had my truck back the next day. Since the repair its been night and day difference.
  9. Column shifter for me. Fords console shifter takes up too much valuable real estate. Don't care either way about push button start but keep the remote start.
  10. I had my TC replaced at the end of June and all my shuttering, vibration and clunking is gone. Since then I have driven from FL to MI and all over. Put on a lot of miles and it drives smoother than ever since the repairs were made.
  11. No much stress at all for the 6.2.
  12. Wow...we are really, really close.
  13. Works on my 15 Denali but I like the remote start much better. 15-20 seconds of cold A/C working before getting in the truck does much better than dropping the windows. I also use the fitted windshield shade and that make a huge difference in the hot FL sun. Mines white and does not get nearly as hot as the dark colored vehicles.
  14. My truck developed the vibration and it would shutter while shifting so I took it in to my dealer for the oil change and went over it with them a few weeks ago. They tested the torque converter slippage and said that was my problem. They replaced it just before a big trip from FL to MI and just over 3000 miles. It's like driving a completely new truck. There is Zero vibration and the little bit of clunking (usually only when shifting into drive from park) I had is gone. On another note. I got 21.1 mpg over all which included driving 75-77 on the interstate, letting my bro-in-law pull his boat some in NC and around the towns in our destinations.
  15. Mine has developed the shudder/vibration at around 55-70. I can have it and M8 and the steering wheel will start vibrating and if I drop it down to M7 it immediately goes away. Towed the boat yesterday and it happen while in D. Mine does not clunk very much but does occasionally it will . Going in for service tomorrow and hopefully they can take care of it. I did not buy the truck to drive around in M7 because I like using the AFM and getting some better MGP.
  16. I have the Retrax Pro MX. For the most part everything stays dry. It will leak around the edges a tiny bit. The gap between the tailgate and bed will also leak a little.
  17. Mine does not matter if it's summer or winter. Just have to play with it a little at the beginning and then it's good to go.
  18. Only a tiny bit around the edges in a few places when it rains a lot. Boxes and other stuff stay perfectly dry in SW Florida summer storms as long as they are not around thr edges or by the tailgate gap. Also, I did not put a gasket that goes around the tailgate like in the post above and did get some items damp that was next to that. Now I try to keep stuff in the middle and it stays dry.
  19. What he said but you can also fit smaller stuff under it. I'm not hauling a lot so to me it's not an issue.
  20. I went with the Retrax Pro MX and love it so far. One thing I really like is how you open and close it from the side instead of with a strap like some of the others. A buddy of mine has one with a strap and constantly has to climb in the bed if the strap is not in the right place. Also, it stays pretty dry with only a little bit of water leaking in on the hard rains. Cannot comment on the Roll-N-Lock.
  21. I've been trying to get the diode in the #10 spot for this mod and I cant get it to seat in there. It just keeps bending. I've tried twisting and ive even snipped the end to make it pointy. Even tried all 4 different corners. I can feel it going in good to #28 and I've done the cargos on with reverse lights and they went in pretty easy and work. Any tips to get it in this stubborn hole?
  22. My radio works great with XM or FM. Both sound very good and the reception seems to be a little better than my past 2 Tahoes. Example, while in the Keys this summer I could listen to a couple of local channels all the time as with my Tahoes I could pick them up sometimes. This is from 120+ miles away. The only time XM goes out is when the sky is blocked which is to be expected.
