  1. TRS = the retrofit source. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ It is an online retailer that specializes HID/led headlights and conversions. Fastheadlights www.fastheadlights.com as far as I know is the only company that has a Bolt on adapter for the Silverado LTZ/ projector headlights. They both sell the parts for the HID kits but only fastheadlights has the FXR projector mounting adapter.
  2. Hey everyone, I decided to go a different route and I'm selling my fastheadlights FXR retrofit kit for 14/15 Silverado! http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/186850-2014-2015-chevy-silverado-fxr-retrofit-kit-from-fastheadlights/?do=findComment&comment=1804201
  3. This is a head unit and Bluetooth issue with the factory GM stereo and has nothing to do with the Kicker Soundgate sub. I have not personally heard a difference from streaming Pandora using or iTunes via Bluetooth. There is however a huge difference between streaming Bluetooth and play music via USB or a CD. With your stereo stock do a little test for yourself. Play a song via CD Or USB at the loudest volume you think it sounds good. Write down what level the head unit is at. If you have a decible tester go ahead and test how many db's it is at as well & write that down. Then stream the same exact same song via Bluetooth & the loudest volume it sounds good on the head unit. *make sure you turn up your volume from Bluetooth piece Aka phone.* Write down what level the head unit is at. If you have a decible tester go ahead and test how many db's it is at as well & write that down. You will notice very quickly that streaming Bluetooth requires the head unit master volume to be 20% to 30% high compared to CD or USB and it will not get as loud! So if your driving down the road playing a song on Bluetooth you may have your volume on the head unit at 17 and still fill it is not loud enough. Playing the same song via CD or USB with the volume on the head unit at 10 & it's already loud! The sound quality and volume is much higher playing music via CD or USB. That's just common sense though. Of course there will be a loss of audio quality. The songs from a iPhone if from iTunes will always be less quality because they compress the files so you can fit more music on it. Then you factor in the audio quality loss from streaming. This loss in volume streaming Bluetooth is much more obvious when doing this test driving down the road with some windows down. Doing the test this way you will quickly see the difference in volume and and audio quality. You almost can not hear the stereo at full volume with the windows down streaming Bluetooth. Hope that helps!

  5. there are lots of pics of the RB10's on leveled trucks on this topic including mine. just go back a few pages.
  6. You mention that it is not really that loud. What is the audio source ie: Bluetooth, or cd, or flash drive? These stereos stream Bluetooth but drops the db level considerably when streaming Bluetooth audio. I would suggest playing music via CD or a flash memory stick To get full volume.
  7. Hit up fastheadlights. They have a mini H1 retrofit package for the 14/15 Silverado reflector lights! http://www.fastheadlights.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=buy_chevy_minih1_kit
  8. My coworker had this same problem. He would be driving then all of the sudden the truck would just turn off. 1st trip to the dealer they kept it 3 days and said there was nothing wrong. He took it home two days later it died going on the on ramp to the freeway. 2nd trip to the dealer they kept it for a week and claimed it was a bad battery cable. They replaced the negative battery cable. One week later the truck dies again. 3rd trip to the dealer they kept it for a week and just replaced the positive battery cable. He refuses to take the truck back until they have it in writing that the issue is resolved. The truck is 2 months old with less than 3,000 miles on it.

  11. The H1 pattern looks really nice! How difficult was the install? So the FXR could possibly mount right into LTZ headlights? I have to open up the LTZ headlights anyways cuz the previous owner cleared the turn signals which I want to change back if possible and one of the headlights had a moisture problem. Is the mini H1 better than the FXR?
  12. I picked up a set of OEM LTZ projector head lights. So should I do an FXR conversion on these or do a Mini H1 conversion on my LT head lights?
  13. I am a little of 6' tall and have always hated steps but I got the RB10's cuz my lady is shorter and I wanted to save my seats. If I did not have the driver assist handle installed I could see how I would bang my knee getting in and out. I make sure to alwasy place my foot on the step then grab the handle lol. I have not yet had a problem with them on about a month now. Did you guys install a drivers assist handle? http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-GM-Molding-Pkg-Part/dp/B00TA7UUM2/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1453219393&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=gm+drivers+assist+handle
  14. did you have find a diffenitive answer or solution for why the truck was dying?
  15. They barely stick out at all and the way they mount you can move them out or in a bit.
  16. Will these work?
  17. I don't know a 100% answer but looking at gmpartsdirect all the steps shown that fit 2007-2013 do not fit 2014-2015.
  18. Your very welcome! The sawbar is shiny there from my hand rubbing the dirt off it when I installed the belsteins ;) I think 305's would look killer on here but would most likely need more than a 2" level. The photo of the sway bar has the tire at full lock and there is more than a few inches of clearence from the sway bar, but I'm pretty sure a 305 would rub the wheel well liners or even the fenders with out a kid or body lift. I definitely want to get calibrate the truck for the tires and see if there is much of a difference.
  19. There is plenty of room before it hits the sway bar at full lock. I have clearance around all of the wheel well liner and weathertech mudflaps at full lock as well. As for how I like the width visually of the 285 I love it over the stock tires and could not be happier!!! I actually really did not like my stock 17" wheels but with these tires on them I love em! To me I think it looks perfect on the stock 17" wheel with the belstein leveling set at the highest setting. On the 17" stock wheel the 285/70-17 width is aboot 9-7/16" on a measuring tape. That being said for me personally I will be buying 275/70-17 next time as I have noticed that the extra weight and width of the 285's has decreased my "performance" more than I would have liked. For me a 305 will not happen unless I go crazy and do engine performance mods. I have barley driven any highway miles on them yet, maybe 200 miles but a lot of around town driving. The mpg's is lower then I expected for sure but this is subjective to each person.
  20. If you are not able to pick up Longhorn-cops killer deal in texas you might be able to get them with a 15% discount from www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com if you call them today? the 15% coupon ends today.
  21. I do not think so? I'm pretty sure they are only available in the black textured bed lining but I would check their website. http://www.gorhino.com
  22. Edit-my truck already has these lol.
  23. I got mine from "autoaccessoriesgarage" on eBay for $440 shipped before xmas.
  24. I picked up some 285/70-17's over the weekend. I have the Bilstein 5100 adjustables set on the highest setting with weather tech mudflaps and no rubbing so far even in reverse at full lock. I'm very happy with the tires and love the ride! I can definitely feel the extra weight of the tires but it does not bother me. I'll have to take better pictures!
  25. Front to Rear: Side shot: Up Close: Bracket on step: Thought this turned out better but here is a shot looking under the step:
