  1. Trying to understand how this is the dealer's fault. So the dealer is charging you to replace an in warranty condenser that is a well known issue that will happen to every K2?
  2. Anything is possible. Hand tools parts and a lot of money will make it happen.
  3. Sounds like you were sold someone else's problems.
  4. You should have told them to pound sand. They will get the rental back when the AC gets fixed. In the southern US, if the AC is not working, the vehicle is out of service.
  5. Warranty customers with a rental get top priority to get them out of the rent car on GM's dime.
  6. You were told wrong. Still a lottery. A long test drive and a little luck is mandatory.
  7. It has been running about 4 weeks to get the newest designed part in. No need to start suing until GM stops picking up the repair bill. After that, file away.
  8. Don't. Used the dedicated plug by the door hinge GM put there just for this purpose instead.
  9. If it is not the half ton crew cab, so what model would you consider the vast majority of GM full size trucks produced?
  10. You do know that the vast majority of the GM gull size trucks are imports, made in Mexico. Can you provide some direction on when the EPA took over Mexico production? I would love to learn more of how this happened.
  11. Please explain. EPA has nothing to do with it.
  12. Fact of life. These trucks chip. Don't expect warranty coverage as it is road debris damage.
  13. Since we have no idea what we are replacing an injector on we can't help at all.
  14. They just did 100% on one of mine with 55k miles but it is all about how you approach it. Installed the newest design released a few weeks ago too. You are correct. They won't fix it until it fails. Keep running the bracket and when it fails ask for a good will repair.
  15. Won't work. The bracket was not a successful band-aid, I mean fix. GM has a newly redesigned hose in another attempt that is to be used instead of the bracket now.
  16. Did GM refuse your good will request?
  17. You are confusing possible with practical. All you need is a donor truck and BCM reprogramming. If you can't do it yourself, there are people offering this service out there for a fee. You don't have to drop the 5 grand if you can write and program the BCM yourself. You can do it for the cost of the donor truck parts.
  18. You forgot one important thing. People who take out loans like this are 1-2 paychecks away from bankruptcy. Far from a sure bet you will get paid back plus 9%..
  19. Good advice here. You can't borrow your way out of debt. Follow Dave Ramsey's plan. Time for a part time job delivering pizzas until it is gone. Even better, know how you got there and never go there again.
  20. For most people a new truck would work better. Some want the OEM controller and don't want to trade their vehicle. For them a small sum of cash is the better solution.
  21. It is not an easy plug and play mod.
  22. Contact this guy: dfsmithceo @ hotmail.com Cost is very high as the program is custom and the parts must be collected from a donor truck. If I remember, his cost is north of 5 grand and the vehicle can't be serviced by a dealer once custom programmed. It is one of them "if you got the ask the price you can't afford it" mods. I say go for it!
  23. It has been done. Just takes a lot of money.
