  1. Pleany of people will hack the BCM for you. Sure it voids the truck warranty but it is all about what the Op wants.
  2. Yes it is. You will need a donor truck for all the parts and reprogram the BCM.
  3. I would move to a safer hood.
  4. If you want to stay OEM it might be easier to find a donor Tahoe and swap interiors. Still then, lots of unknowns to solve.
  5. The higher end magnetic ride type vehicles were made for a customer base with very deep pockets that don't worry about extremely high repair costs. Part of GM's market plan. It is a pay to play option. You forgot an option: d.) Trade it in on a normal suspension vehicle and eliminate the problem.
  6. Nothing can't be retrofitted. Sometimes the cost is too high to justify. In this case, find a donor vehicle with all the options, transfer to your truck and pay to have the BCM hacked. I would budget about 15k to get started. The BCM hacks can get very expensive.
  7. I wish it was that easy. 2 more years of warranty before I can try to do this. The problem is auto control will not let the summer AC discharge temp get below 48F. Manual gets down to 40F.
  8. I just would like to retrofit from auto to manual.
  9. And on some other vehicles you get to pick the color and change it with your mood. If I was to buy another GMC before the switch back to red, I would just swap out the LEDs and go retro red.
  10. You bought the wrong tuck to lift. Consider upgrading to an SLT if you want a lift.
  11. Go for it! If you going to do it, why stop half way?
  12. Did you clear the code?
  13. Why is warranty not covering it? These engines eat injectors.
  14. You describe the truck as "Silverado" but we have no idea what model truck or power train you are trying to fix.
  15. The definition of insanity - When you keep repeating the same process but expect different results.
  16. The flushing the metal shaving out and slashing the warranty is working out great for GM. It eliminates having to replace the converters before the 60k mile warranty runs out.
  17. Yes you can but the gear lever will hit the fob and bad stuff will happen.
  18. You need to spend some time with the owners manual. You can program the key yourself. No dealer is needed. And OEM key cut and ready to use costed me about $35 from Ebay for the last 3 I purchased.
  19. If you work for a dealer or GM, you really need to remove the links from your post. Does not take but a little primitive URL hacking to get to where the public was not meant to go.
  20. Happens from time to time. Warranty and move on with life.
  21. You live in BC. Is AC even needed in BC?
