    I think the gas tank size is appropriate for the average owner. Dual tanks were an option in the past. The extra capacity was needed then because you were getting significantly fewer mpg's!

    Nice feature. I'm not clear what this post is in response to but I'll add an observation. I find that I have far greater success with the voice recognition feature when I talk in my normal speaking voice than when I sound like I'm trying to make a point with a belligerent teen. I discovered this out of frustration and now when I hear someone shouting or talking baby talk to a voice recognition device, I say "talk normal". It works almost every time!

    I did the math on a similar trailer with my '15 Sierra V6 with a 7,000 lb tow rating. I know I would be fine so you'll be more than fine! As said earlier, get a proper weight distribution/anti sway hitch and enjoy. I currently pull a Winnebago 2108ds rated at 7,000 lbs gross weight however it is only 3900 lbs dry. This setup is not challenging for my truck and I wish I had purchased a larger trailer!

    Yellow gas caps are a quick way of determining if a truck is E85 compatible. I'm currently shopping for a truck and wondering if there is a quick way to determine this with capless fuel fillers?

    My '00 Silverado came stock with 235 width tires, my '09 came with 245 and my '15 came with 255's. I tried heavier, larger tires on my last truck and the improved look wasn't worth the sluggish feel and poorer gas mileage. In 2000 upgrading to 255's on 17's would have looked awesome. I'm simply enjoying large wheels by earlier standards!

    Truck looks good stock, imo. It wasn't that long ago this would have been considered a large wheel!

    Very interesting and timely comment. I was in contact with my favorite GM salesman yesterday and expressed interest in refreshing my '15 SLE before the '18's are all gone. We concluded that a Denali would be the model that would have enough improvements over my current truck and the incentives would keep the price reasonable. I have also become hooked on the RV lifestyle and may eventually trade my TT for a smallish 1/2 ton towable 5th wheel. Is the Denali a poor choice for towing? I want the comfort features as my plans include a lot of touring through Canada and the US.

    Please report this to GM customer service and let us know their response. I doubt there is any technical reason other than a malfunction with your new truck. Get it repaired. I rent cars and trucks when I travel and have yet to find a backup picture that I would consider better than my '15 Sierra.

    I'm sorry to hear about your accident. It was a horrible event and you and your family will need time to heal. Make sure you take care of the non-physical injuries for the whole family.

    I find the picture quality of my backup camera great for the purpose it serves. I am not dependent on my camera to park but it is a useful feature. It definitely is helpful when hooking up the travel trailer when I'm on my own! If the picture quality is noticeably degraded than another same generation truck then take the new truck back for warranty repairs.

    Nicely done! I personally would never cover it with the plate. I'm not sure where I'd locate the licence but it doesn't matter as everyone will be focused on the winch!

    I know that with a replacement harness and a set of mirrors from 1A Auto, I can have the look and function of factory tow mirrors. However 1A offers a mirror that will utilize my automatic adjustment and heat function without a new harness. I don't like the appearance of these as much as factory but they will do the job.     A manual rear slider on a regular cab is fine but on a crew cab it would not be worth the switch, imo. If you regularly have passengers in the backseat who can open and close the window then it might be useful. My memories of a non-powered slider on my '85 Ford Super Cab is hitting the freeway and forgetting my slider was open.

    I would definitely bring this to the attention of my sales outlet and/or to Michelin. I buy my Michelins from Costco and they are good with customer satisfaction. I once found a tire weight in my driveway where I normally park my truck. Costco pulled all four wheels and re-balanced them to make sure it wasn't one of theirs and to make sure I was a satisfied customer. With your experience with the Michelin brand I am confident your complaint will be taken seriously. You have nothing to lose and may gain a considerably good deal on a great set of new tires!

    I bought my Defenders because of my past experience with the LTX MS2/LTX MS series of tires. I read that the Defenders were an improved version. When I first replaced my factory Bridgestones with the Defenders, there wasn't the "wow" factor like my previous switches but I simply attributed this to the fact that the Bridgestone was also a smooth running tire. Maybe Defenders are a rougher tire than the MS2's. I have found them a great all year round tire and very good in the snow. Another type of Michelin may be the answer and I notice they still offer the LTX MS2 in the 275/55/20 size. I would suggest giving Michelin a call and explain your concerns. They could possibly make your call worthwhile and give you a coupon or something to help you with a new purchase. You could also check at your place of purchase. My son-in-law swears by Pirelli tires on 20's for his Navigator but not a fair comparison as I do not know first hand how it handled without Pirelli's. Tire technology has improved to a point where I believe light truck tires with an aspect ratio of 55 on a 275 width can meet the expectations of truck owners with smaller rim sizes. Many of us recall thinking 16" rims were big on a 1/2 ton and I believe now 20's are the new norm.

    The harsh ride on this combination surprises me. Good to know as I thought this would be the ideal wheel and tire! I believe my positive experience on 20's referred to earlier was with Continentals and BF Goodrich highway tires. I have Defenders on my 17's.

    I once thought that 20's with a 55 aspect would be like wagon wheels until I experienced my daughter-in-law's Yukon XL and my son's High Country both with factory 20's. I believe premium quality highway tires on 20's will give a nice ride and wouldn't hesitate to have these on my own truck. Unfortunately, changing tires and wheels is not as simple as trying on shoes. I was able to try the different sized rims with similar tires on similar vehicles. If I relied solely on what I read and didn't have this recent experience I too would be anti-20".

    Stock tire on a factory 20" wheel is 275/55/20. I think this is a comfortable riding and good looking tire size.

    Switching out my 13's for 15's turned my '64 Econoline from an urban delivery vehicle to a highway cruiser! To add to your post, Op can regain close to stock diameter and still keep his 20" wheels. I am 100% agreement on the Defenders.

    I will often comment in support of the 4.3. It was my engine of choice and not because it saved me money on the purchase price. (I did get the leather, 4WD etc.) I have enjoyed watching the creep up of hp over the past few decades and appreciate that 285 hp and 305 tq c/w 3.42 axle ratio is more than ample for my needs. The situations where more hp is required are very specific and rare. (One person gave an example of merging into fast moving traffic going uphill pulling a heavy trailer.) I completely understand the quest for more power but just because larger engines are available it doesn't diminish the strength of this particular V6.
