    The valve body was replaced under warranty on my 21 5.3 V8 8 speed. The transmission has worked perfect ever since.

    I live at the top of a steep hill. In very slick winter storm conditions the 4 lo is a life saver for holding the truck back when descending a steep grade.

    Don't waste your money on the Range, mine failed with the Range installed. If you want a Range I will sell you mine for $100.

    Check with Diode Dynamics, I have their top of the line clear fog lamps on my 2021 Silverado. These are the best fog lights that I have ever seen and don't blind other drivers. They work great for driving on dark city streets. The only negative is that they are very expansive.

    Question for bikerjon, what can't you stand about your DFM? I can'f even tell when mine is working. I was using the Range on my 21 5.3 when I had a lifter failure. I am no longer using the Range as I feal it has no benefit and lowers the fuel mileage.

    Ceramic is quiter, lasts longer, less visible dusting and longer rotor life. Akebono is a GM supplier and very good.

    GM's customer service is not good. The only way that I have got action is through my dealer. I have a very good dealer, Carr Chevrolet in Beaverton, Oregon.

    This oil is probably OK, but the current GM spec is Dexos 1, Gen 3. Gen 2 is now obsolete.

    Don't expect Bilstein shocks to improve your ride quality as they are very firm. The 20 inch tires are the issue. Replace them with the Z71 18 inch wheels and Michelin Defender tires.

    The HD air filter element that come on the Z71 are thicker, but are interchangable with the standard element.

    Diode Dynamics top of the line replacement fog lights were a great upgrade for my 21 Silverado. Expensive, but worth it.

    Ihave had my 21 for 2 1/2 years and never used them. They should have maade fog lamps standard instead of forcing you to get this almost worthless option.

    I went with Diode Dynamics brightest clear lens fog lamps. I use them for low beam driving lights and have never been flashed. The cut off is very good. My truck is a 2021 Silverado.

    It is unfortunate that you purchased a truck with 20 inch wheels. Big wheels and short sidewalls give a hard ride. 20 inch wheels belong on sports cars. My Z71 with 18 inch wheels rides very well.

    Check out the Foxwell NT530 or the NT710 bidirectional scanners. Very reasonable prices with lifetime free updates.

    Try covering the ambient light sensor on the top of the dash while trying to adjust.

    I live at the top of a steep dead end road that intersects with a busy road at the bottom. I use low range for hill descent when there is snow or ice on the road. As long as 2 speed transfer cases are available, I will purchase them.

    AGM batteries are the best, Costco has the best prices for them.

    My 21 5.3 DFM lifters failed at about 10000 miles with the DFM disabled with a Range. This was probably caused by defective lifters. I am still using the Range because I belive the DFM lifters are a failure prone design. Mine was built during the defective lifter time frame, but I belive all of them are more likely to fail if they are constantly locking and unlocking.

    I have a set of Morimotto fog lamps for a 2015 Silverado, hardly used. Not free, but I will sell them for a very reasonable price.

    Your dealer is asleep. About two months ago GM started replacing both banks up to 16000 miles. Mine were all replaced at 9900 miles. There is a serv8ce bulletin verifying this.
