  1. No. Rancho shocks on a normal Z71 / X31 are twin tube, and they are junk.
  2. I’m not lifted, but swapping my stock rear shocks for Bilstein 5100s definitely reduced the tail happy rear end behavior over bumps. Worth noting though, the stock Ranchos on the AT4 and Trail Boss are monotube. They supposedly much better than the ones that come with a normal height Z71 / X31 truck.
  3. That’s everything I wish for. Imagine a 700hp engine that doesn’t have to move a lifted truck on 35s.
  4. The 2019s were known to not ride the greatest in the first place, GM “retuned” the suspension (changed the springs) for 2020. And I doubt any of the aftermarket additions on your truck are helping matters. Drone...if you have a hacked up pieced-together exhaust, not surprising. You really might want to consider getting a catback from GM Performance, Borla or Corsa. They are expensive sure, but they are also engineered to avoid drone.
  5. Not gonna get into how they will fix it but it’s not a fix. Just saying it might be wise for the OP to wait and see rather than go through the same BS myself and many others went through. 204 page thread now spanning 3 model years with an unresolved problem. It is what it is.
  6. https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/216705-rear-window-leak/page/200/#comments Give it time. There’s a few 2021 leakers on that page alone.
  7. Moot point. The 19-21 trucks aren’t exactly a model of simplicity. Even compared to a 2018 they are significantly more complex and much less DIY friendly. They have brake by wire and literally electronic everything. Also see the thread about how you don’t even get a transmission dipstick anymore. ? Another 2022 advantage...maybe they will finally solve the rear window leak...
  8. IMO...wait. There’s nothing “wrong” with the current interior but it’s really boring and sort of dated looking compared to the competition. Last thing you want to do is have regret when the new one is revealed in just a few months from now, and you just bought the old one.
  9. Power folding mirrors are standard on LTZ.
  10. Not to mention the logistics of stocking two different filters for each vehicle, both having the same exact part number, but one being somehow cheaper built than the other? Next thing you know, each dealer will have a special tech fresh out of McDonalds who is restricted to only doing the free oil changes. ?
  11. I used up my free ones on the last truck and my one on this truck. The only leak I’ve ever had was from faulty oil cooler lines. Can’t blame the dealer for that. People like to be dramatic about the “risk” of letting a dealer do an oil change. All I know is that the vast majority of people don’t change their own oil, and the average vehicle on a US road is ~12 years old. You tell me how that’s evidence of a widespread oil change problem.
  12. I did the double gasket boo-boo once. You definitely only do it once. Shot about a quart onto my driveway within few seconds. I always look down there after starting the first time so I caught it right away. Anywho, there’s no way the leak in question was a doubled up gasket. Wouldn’t make it 2000 feet let alone 2000 miles.
  13. Yup, I agree. Just playing devil’s advocate. Plus, I’m sure GM views the Hummer as a competitor to the TRX. And I do think there will be some crossover between buyers of those $100,000+ pickups.
  14. I feel like the 1000hp Hummer is kinda getting dissed here...not even a mention even though it’s gonna be way faster than the TRX and has great off road potential.
  15. It’s already burning itself out. Down 77% nationwide over the past 6 weeks. I don’t know at what point we are allowed to live our lives again, but in a rational world, right about now would be a good time. I understand that someone wouldn’t want to give up two years of their lives living next to a blast site. Just as I don’t want to give up two years of mine for this virus. ??
  16. Depends. Ordering max tow excludes you from getting the Z71/X31 off road package. So on 5.3 trucks it is completely impossible to get max tow with the two speed because it would only come via the Z71/X31 package. While the two speed is also standard on factory lifted trucks, Denali, and 5.3 High Country, those trucks cannot get the max trailering package. The 6.2 High Country oddly enough can, but that’s another story...
  17. Yeah, I have max tow and the two speed. The only way to get that combo is with the 6.2, the 5.3 max tow stupidly comes with a single speed transfer case. They don’t really advertise it as such, but the two speed transfer case is tied to the 6.2 automatically no matter what suspension package.
  18. I don’t think analog gauges in general look cheap, just the T1’s. Bland as can be, major downgrade in style from the K2 trucks.
  19. I don’t find either option to be as easy to read as the good old fashioned analog ones. But the analog clusters look too cheap.
  20. 2 speed is standard on all 6.2s as well. Between that and the Z71 trucks, I would bet at least half of the 4x4s on the lots still have 4L.
  21. Not a fan of the OE wipers on the 2019 and up trucks. They downgraded from the nice beam design on the K2s to an old school spring arm with aero pieces tacked on. Maybe the curvature of the windshield required it, or probably it’s a cost thing. Either way, nobody should pay $20+ a pop for those pieces of crap. I ditched them within a month because they lifted at highway speeds. They are ugly too.
  22. With personal worst record fuel economy. ?
  23. The hood bulge gives me a little hope. I don’t care if it has the suspension from a covered wagon as long as it has a blower.
  24. You can run the trans in L7 (if 8 speed) or L9 (if 10 speed). DFM won’t run and you can at least see if that’s indeed the issue. FYI, it never deactivates cylinders at idle no matter what, so what you hear on startup, in park, at a stoplight, etc...that’s all 8. I have the GMPP exhaust that retains the stock tips but I think is otherwise the same as the Borla you have. Can’t say I share the same opinion about it, sounds great to me. Even with DFM active, it just has a slight lope to it but not the obnoxious helicopter sound the old AFM motors put out.
  25. Not the same. The Bose woofer is a 4” unit located in / under the center console. The Kicker is a dealer installed part (or you can DIY install as I did). That unit goes under the rear seat.
