  1. Yup. People flee one state and then vote to bring the same policies to their new state. You hope these people connect the dots, but they simply don’t want to. They live a fantasy. After all, these are the same folks who handed “Cuomo the slug” an Emmy, and praised his Covid response. I know some of us here were screaming the truth from day one and getting ignored. Same for this downright disgusting closure of schools. Always get proven right in the end. But it’s a shame it takes so long.
  2. These guys are usually regarded as the cheapest. I didn’t buy this time around but probably will for the next one. http://www.gmoutlet.com/gmepp_quote.html
  3. The doors are actually really well deadened from the factory. I added some (as well as some Dynoliner on the door panel back to mitigate rattles) but it didn’t need a whole lot IMO. Think there are bigger advantages to using it elsewhere such as the floor. Changing just the rears on my Bose brightened it up quite a bit back there. It was necessary because the Kicker sub was really overpowering back there when the back speakers did basically nothing. I was eying these mini amps up which would probably help even more, but sort of hear mixed reviews and I’m pretty much ready to move on to the next truck: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-kctCW6cqCMO/p_575PM100X1/Rockford-Fosgate-PM100X1.html?XVINQ=GLX&awkw=216564569785&awat=pla&awnw=g&awcr=111687883825&awdv=m&awug=9018811&gclid=Cj0KCQiAj9iBBhCJARIsAE9qRtCqzgLjQ3aEYtmMpDVAKzJAhTUYop0h5V1he2JS1IdVp7X8Gl0htDEaAu3fEALw_wcB
  4. No 2 speed with the 2.7 because that engine can’t be paired the Z71/X31 packages. Simple as that. The only trucks that get 4 low without any off road packages are the 6.2 trucks, and Denali.
  5. Think Camaro is just waiting to die at this point. Started going downhill when they did that bizarre 2019 only front end refresh: Then shortly after, there was talk it’s gonna be done after 2023 anyway. Obviously I love the SS, but the turbo 4 / 6mt combo is actually pretty good too. Reasonably quick, good on gas, cheap. Somewhat crummy visibility is the only thing not making that a perfectly reasonable DD.
  6. So the point of jamming the rope seal into the spoiler is to keep water from running under the spoiler and into the cracked window channel? Seems like a band-aid at best. I know I’m a broken record here, but all data suggests the spoiler itself is rarely, if ever, the sole cause of the leak. Trucks with solid rear windows have the same exact spoiler. And yet to my recollection in 200+ pages I have never seen a solid window truck posted here with a leak. My hope is that the are redesigning what’s under the spoiler and therefore had to redesign the spoiler too.
  7. Eh, they wouldn’t spend the money on frivolous stuff. They don’t spend on anything really. You know they are getting their asses kicked in labor costs “fixing” this leak...so that’s the only reason they would address it.
  8. My main fear is trading for a 22 next year and then having the same damn problem my 19 has. I really don’t think I can do it...
  9. Most of the mules, even going back to August 2020 have had different color spoilers. There’s been too many of them assembled like that to just write off as coincidence. There has to be a reason. Part can look the same on the outside and be redesigned internally. Window could too.
  10. That’s my 2016 in the video above. It was the flapper making that terrible noise.
  11. The lip on the bottom of the front mudflaps seems particularly idiotic because it forms a shelf and “locks” the snow in there. If it’s frozen solid, it ain’t budging.
  12. 4200 isn’t as bad as 5200, but it would still be absolutely impossible to remove that spoiler in the future if you’re actually caulking around it? Unless I’m mis-reading... I think it would be good to go over the window frame itself but that’s about as far as I’d go. Even then, I probably wouldn’t.
  13. I know there’s a way, but how, not sure. After the dealer dropped my headliner to fix the window leak, my mirror was extremely loose when they gave it back. I took it back and now it’s tight. Probably something that can be done DIY. I had all that plastic around the mirror off when I installed my radar detector, it comes apart easy.
  14. I just think for the size of the dash and surroundings, the 8” display does look tiny in the T1. They could have bumped it up to 10” and still retained all the physical controls and the layout as it is. Ford actually did a good job on that with their new interior.
  15. Ford would resent anyone referring to the new F150 as a refresh. Even though it looks nearly identical to the old one, they claim it’s “92% new”. ? The refresh on the Silverado and Sierra has been anticipated and speculated on since literally day one. I have no real beef with the current interior but we all know how it stacks up against the others.
  16. I understand them pushing the Traverse off. Nobody buys them except Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I don’t think GM can afford not to get the T1 refresh out next year. There would be lots of trouble for them between the new F150, a new Tundra, and the Ram still selling very well. Ram also just counterfeited all that was left of GM’s exclusives (HUD, camera mirror) for 2021.
  17. I’ve been running 88 E15 through the last few tanks. Cold and snowy, not doing any towing or “spirited” driving. Most gets wasted in remote starts and drive-thrus so I got tired of spending more. I think mileage is worse with the 88 but the conditions haven’t helped. Summer I run only 93 and still get crap. Hope I don’t have to feed this thing at $4+/gal in the future...lines would have to be drawn.
  18. Added Hurst badge for a period correct 10hp gain.
  19. About midway through the article, their “technical training manager” gives the 94% @ 10 micron figure, so I’ve been running with it. https://www.onallcylinders.com/2015/05/29/ask-away-with-jeff-smith-micron-ratings-and-what-they-mean-for-your-oil-filter/ Cut one open, you’ll like what you see.
  20. Just another power trip. Covid is wearing out so now we are onto Carbon. Control is the common theme within all of their causes. Not care for others, or the environment. When electric vehicles are compelling to the masses, people will buy them. Shouldn’t have to force it. I certainly see some clear advantages, as well as many downsides at the moment.
  21. The Ultra is and always has been 99+ @ 20 and 94% @ 10. It’s a great filter, readily available everywhere and for every application. I use them on pretty much everything. Some clowns lump them in with the “orange can bad” but they have nothing in common with the Extra Guards.
  22. The other round thing is indeed the hitch light. Activated with the cargo lights. Trucks equipped with hitch-view use the normal backup camera and software to accomplish the “top down” view.
  23. Been about a year and a half since, haven’t noticed anything. And I am pretty sensitive to that with allergies and everything else. They had the headliner down and the seat out to dry. Window still leaks slightly but not into the headliner. Easy to manage. I’m just defeated and waiting for a worthy trade. ?
  24. They cleaned mine. Came out fine, can’t even tell. And it was pretty soaked on both corners.
