  1. Crew cab short box with everything...Premium Package, Tech Package, etc.
  2. 2021 SLT with no interior options/packages is the highest you can go. On the Chevy side, the LTZ now includes buckets as standard for 2021, so the RST is the highest trim level with a jump seat.
  3. They aren’t going to make a factory truck level because it’s still designed to be used as a truck. If mine was leveled, it would look like a dog dragging it’s ass across a carpet any time I have my trailer hooked up.
  4. Navigation comes in LTZ Convenience Package II, which is also a part of the LTZ Premium Package.
  5. Nobody knows. GM hasn’t really acknowledged the problem so they aren’t gonna come out and say it’s fixed. It does look like most of the mules are running around with different color roof spoilers. Might be an indication that they are working on some changes with the window, cab or spoiler. Time will tell. If by this time next year there aren’t any reported leaks, I’m in. If not, I might just get a Tahoe. I won’t deal with another leaker.
  6. My LTZ max tow 6.2 payload is 1,914 pounds. You can figure a lighter equipped LTZ or RST would be bit higher.
  7. Or bump this one back up? https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/234880-poll-does-your-truck-have-the-rear-window-leak/
  8. Well, that is the direction we are headed. But currently, these trucks can only get infotainment updates over the air. Not fixes for powertrain related things like start/stop. One of the big reasons GM is introducing the Global B electronic architecture (on these trucks for 2022) is so they can OTA update these stupid little vehicle-wide software bugs (and software related recalls) without having to go to the dealer. I must have went 5 times in the first year I had this truck to get little patches done, so the new system is fine by me. If they really enjoy tracking my daily moves to McDonalds, that’s fine too.
  9. Yup. Well, for awhile I ran the brushed aluminum / black bow tie RST center caps which actually didn’t look bad at all. Then I saw these on eBay. Very happy with the look. They match the factory LTZ 20s and my Denali 22s. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324422842677
  10. Buying a cracked ECM and having it tuned is the only option. The days of the cheap plug-in tunes are gone. https://www.hptuners.com/product/e90-modified-ecm-purchase-ecm-exchange-service/
  11. I bought it a few years ago. It kinda smells like an inflatable pool toy. Not a fan.
  12. It does not come via a software update so if you didn’t have it before, you won’t now. Only 2021 model year trucks with 8” mid-level and up-level infotainment systems get it from the factory.
  13. WI chart looks identical. Still expecting a further extension of the mandate. That’ll make it 365 days of 60 day emergency orders. Unconstitutional, of course. Some reading materials for the day further proving I’ve been right from day one: https://thefederalist.com/2021/02/24/in-report-affirming-nearly-no-transmission-in-schools-cdc-slips-in-shocking-data-about-asymptomatic-spread/ https://ktla.com/news/california/despite-california-and-florida-governors-drastically-different-approaches-the-states-saw-almost-identical-outcomes-in-covid-19-case-rates/ And no, the AP and CDC are not known to be right wing sources. It’s just slowly becoming OK to tell the truths that the rest of us knew for a year.
  14. https://www.shopchevyparts.com/trailering/2020-silverado-1500-integrated-proportional-spectrum-brake-controller-package/19418031-p-92306592.html
  15. Congrats on the truck. To answer a few of the other questions, the 7” does not get wireless CarPlay/ AA. There is no way to add the factory brake controller however GM sells one in the accessory store that I’ve seen people mount in the same slot. Might be the best option. And 40 PSI is way too high. My truck on 20” wheels calls for 35 PSI.
  16. The new E90 ECM was a big step toward locking down the powertrain. It’s since been cracked, of course. Interior features still seem relatively easy to fiddle with currently. Upgrading cluster, adding wireless CarPlay, cameras, etc all doable on the current trucks. But it sounds like those types of things will no longer be possible on Global B.
  17. Yeah, NHT trucks are somewhat hard to come by. But the dealer here almost exclusively orders them. Pretty much every 6.2 that’s not a Denali comes ordered with it. I had a HC, LTZ and a few SLTs to pick from. The HC was the wrong color and the SLTs couldn’t get the tech package at that time so I landed with the LTZ. From what I’ve seen, there’s not a big performance difference between 3.23 and 3.42 trucks. They are all within a tenth or two of each other to 60. 3.73 would definitely make a more noticeable difference, but only getting it with a 6 speed or a Diesel is a from me.
  18. Max trailering package gives ya 3.42s, not 3.73s. I have the same truck, 2019 LTZ 6.2 with NHT (max trailering package).
  19. I know that’s what the order guide states however I am fairly confident that is an error. The C shaped taillight portion does appear to be LED, but you can see a bulb socket and reflector plainly in the center of the taillight on base/SLE/Elevation trucks. It would have to account for the turn/stop light. Perhaps an owner can confirm?
  20. X31 is the GMC equivalent of Z71. The Sierra SLT would be the equivalent of the LTZ. The Max Trailering Package stiffens the ride a bit but I actually like the sportier and controlled feel. The best ride would obviously come in the Denali and High Country with Adaptive Ride Control.
  21. Double cabs are fine in the back for little kids. But even 10 year olds were uncomfortable in mine, and forget adults on a long trip. I had to go crew cab and I’ll never go back.
  22. Hearing that Global B is likely to be the death of adding any type of options after the fact through third parties. Everyone better get what they want the first time.
  23. Not that it really matters but a 5.3 Custom TB will have the 6 speed, not the 8. Vibration might just be the AFM. Those trucks are still using the old cylinder deactivation program. And they are pretty rough in comparison to the DFM. OP, it does appear that the only material differences are the console on the Chevy vs the 10 speed on the GMC. With that in mind I would probably lean toward the GMC. But if you don’t like the look of it, it doesn’t really matter. Buy what you want the first time. It’s cheaper.
  24. Grump is right. DFM. Mine does it too. But for the purpose of elimination...run it (from a stop) in L9 up to the affected speed, and see if the issue persists. Reasoning is, DFM is not active in “low” mode. And the trans would never be in 10th gear at 40 anyway. So the only difference in L9 vs drive at those speeds is going to be DFM inactive vs DFM active.
  25. People get depressed and eat. And eat. And eat. I thought at the start of this whole thing that people would mostly lose weight. Since many were forced into eating at home rather than out at bars and restaurants. But I guess that doesn’t matter if you just sit on your butt all day. I think those actions are still restricted in NY and CA.
