  1. Gotcha and you are lucky as labor rates around here are crazy! Video didn't show up and I couldn't find it on YouTube. Can you let me know the title to search? Thanks!
  2. Re upholstered jump seat in leather. You can get the kit leftovers from trucks that didn't need them due to having a full console at local upholstery shops or on eBay for less than $50 bucks.
  3. I have read that it is not "real" leather like I had in my old Corvette and was concerned it would get scratched up easily but I may have to reconsider this. Thanks for the heads up!
  4. I was hoping to find an oem set with black cloth and power drivers seat somewhere online but all the sets I find have rear seats and/or jump seats included that I don't need (mine is a regular cab). I do mobile audio work and the local upholstery shop wants to trade for some custom made covers which would be great but with all the roadblocks I have hit while modifying this truck I have a feeling it's not as easy as just swapping my cushions over to a power track.
  5. Just noticed your screen name..would you happen to be in Salinas CA and if so could you let me know what shop you had it done at?
  6. Man you guys must have nice low labor costs as both shops around here want $100.00 + just to remove the resonator and add 1 pipe or" $250- $300.00 to split into duals with resonator removal. For $30.00 I'd just take the chance but I'd like to hear it as well if possible before spending 3 times what you paid! (I'm just looking for a bit more grumble on acceleration but don't want to add any drone at highway speed)
  7. Thanks! I originally planned to do all leather but realized the dog or I would probably destroy it since he's already scratched the door panel and I've had a tendency to forget I have a tape measure on my side or a pencil in my pocket when getting in so I'm doing black cloth and adding the power drivers seat.
  8. re upholstered my jump seat in leather..
  9. I originally planned to but I decided to go with black cloth and add the power seat instead (the dog or I would probably destroy leather!)
  10. Thanks! https://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-2015-2016-2017-Chevy-silverado-sierra-tahoe-Jumpseat-console-leather-covers/232501273528?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
  11. I ended up using industrial strength double sided tape to hold the material under the bins in place so we'll see how well that holds up.
  12. I still need to figure out how to secure the material inside on top as I don't think the plastic insert will hold it in place but overall it wasn't that difficult.
  13. Seatback is a little more challenging (they didn't include original type clips on the inside) so it looks like I'll have to remove the entire unit and improvise a bit.
  14. Got started on the jump seat leather upgrade and once I get that done I'll be mounting the amp inside the bottom compartment.
  15. I'm probably gonna change to 20's at some point with a stock size tire as these 22's are pretty heavy and I wouldn't mind 11.3 for just stop n go around town but I think that's way low for a lifetime average based on what I read others here get (it goes below 10 mpg if I don't do any highway between tanks)
  16. Happy to be representing Enough and just having a little fun trying to make it my own unique ride as is Nasty! I have just under 8,000 miles and my calculated average is only 11.3 mpg. Granted I mainly drive city but on a recent road trip I calculated 15.2 I believe with a max of around 19 based on the truck calculation during a span of steady speed driving on a fairly flat area. Dealership is trying to tell me this is normal but I don't buy it so Im going to take it to another dealership. I'm not sure if you'll get more bass from replacing your 6x9's unless you add an amp as aftermarker speakers tend to be less sensitive than factory speakers (require more power to get the same loudness)
  17. That may be great while inside but what about when I go outside?! (my buddy lives in Mt Pleasant and sends me pics occasionally!) Those are the 6.5's I plan to use in the front doors with a sub but I am going to experiment with a set of 6x9 components I have first and if that's enough bass for me I won't add the sub. Almost forgot, I think you would be happier with a good set of components up front. I was tired of listening with no "sparkle" up top so I temporarily installed a set of old Polk DB tweeters/crossovers I had with the factory 6x9's and was surprised at how much better it sounded than with the stock dash mids (I tapped into the harness behind the kick panel and also connected the factory 6x9 to the Polk crossover to low pass it instead of letting it play full range) BTW, feel free to message for my phone number if you would like to chat about speakers or anything else audio!
  18. I cheated and started with the flimsy plastic ones from Metra as well however I reinforced them with a 1/2 birch mounting ring and lined them with sound deadener. After I paint the rings I am going to pack the inside with modeling clay and I will make a gasket from foam weatherstripping.
  19. Ouch! ? The second pic is the piece that broke off of the piece in the first pic. I'll try some epoxy as I have a feeling that piece is not cheap!
  20. Now the drag, I broke one of the mounting tabs clean off so looks like I'll be buying a new panel unless somebody can tell me how to fix it so it doesn't rattle.
  21. Also, what I initially thought was an airbag actually appears to be just some type of sound absorbing material on the back of the panel.
  22. Went ahead and popped mine off and the speaker is pretty much a 4x6 mini version of the front door speaker.
