What have you done to your K2 today?
Marv88 replied to block8head's topic in Modifications & Accessories
I agree but I've already pushed my luck! (she didn't realize I turned the truck into a 2 seater when I did the console swap so I took it out to stay out of the doghouse!) BTW, you look like my cousin Milton from Baltimore (or he looks like you! ) -

My wife is finally OK and understanding of some of my mods but I have a feeling she would choke me if I tubbed this thing and narrowed the rear end to get some wheels with a dish! BTW, I just hit you up on Instagram so I could see more pics! -

Well deserved my good man and I would love to get some wheels with a dish like that under my regular cab 2wd! -

I've never been a big fan of white trucks but for some reason I really like it on this generation of Chevy trucks when color matched and especially like the look of yours with those wheels and stance! -

I had that same problem when I switched to iPhone with Safari and figured out if you take the picture in landscape it shows up properly -
Cool and let us know how it works out. I'm going to scroll through other threads here to see if I can see Photobucket pictures others have posted but haven't been showing up.

They don't show up when on windows explorer on the same computer nor on my old phone that has firefox installed however they showed up immediately on the phone after I downloaded the fix so I'm guessing you must have firefox with the fix installed to see them.

Thanks and I had a feeling that would be the case since I can see them on my computer but i can't see them on my phone. (I downloaded a fix from Firefox and have a feeling it only works if you have Firefox and also download that fix)

Just checking to see if my previously blocked by Photobucket pictures on the first several pages are showing up for everyone now and not just for me.

I temporarily installed the new mids with some caps to high pass them where the factory did and gotta say with as little bias as possible that the vocals and upper end extension are definitely way better than stock IMO. I'll get the rest of the system together as soon as I can so Nasty can listen and give his un biased impression.

I am going to keep the stock radio however I will be powering everything from a Match PP62DSP amplifier/processor. If I have time I'll put caps on these and try them from the stock radio to see how they do. -

Test fit my new Hybrid Audio Technologies Unity U2 mini mids and abs adapters. Gonna run new wires and start on the sound deadening this weekend. -
I have read the thread numerous times but I am having a bit of difficulty fully understanding so please forgive me if this has already been answered somewhere between the lines. I have the iob headunit that I want to leave installed/operational and will be adding a hidden aftermarket headunit for the audio system (I will be moving the factory dash speakers to the kickpanels for the chimes/turn signals etc). I would like to add the steering wheel controls strictly for the aftermarket headunit using an aftermarket adapter however I do *not* want to change the cluster. From what I understand here the signal from the steering wheel goes to the dash cluster module and then gets passed on to the radio and if this is correct I am guessing there is more needed from the dash cluster such as power/ground possibly otherwise it seems you could just tap directly from the steering wheel(?) If this is in fact the case I was wondering if I could just *add on* the dash module separately along with the correct steering wheel/clock spring/wiring and wire from there to the aftermarket steering wheel control adapter? Thanks in advance for any insight.

I could be considered a bit biased since I am a Hybrid Audio Technologies Kit dealer however I will also be installing these in forum member Nasty''s truck soon and will ask him to give his honest impression.

Sound s good and just sent you a message!

Thank you very much sir! Would you like the chrome handle in return?
-
I recently traded my console to Nasty for his jump seat and need the dash piece shown with the 110v socket if anyone who has done the swap would like to sell theirs. Also, Nasty didn't want the chrome handle I recently bought so I have that available for sale/trade if anybody is interested.

When I sold mine there were numerous sets of the identical tires/wheels on Craigslist so I ended up letting them go pretty cheap. Now that I am looking for another set there are none available within the 100 mile radius I am searching and the couple of sets I found online would cost nearly double what I sold mine for once you add in shipping!

Thanks Grumpy! I read they are actually something called chrome clad which I was not familiar with and basically appears to be a skin permanently attached to the steel wheel. I sold those when I got the new wheels since I didn't have room to store them but I am trying to find another set and while searching I found they make a similar looking aftermarket skin/hubcap for the standard steel wheels. https://m.ebay.com/itm/14-16-CHEVROLET-SILVERADO-1500-CHROME-WHEEL-SKINS-SET-OF-FOUR-17-INCH-/351740807765?fits=Model%3ASilverado+1500&hash=item51e562ca55%3Ag%3AZjQAAOSwQaJXQnmp&_trkparms=pageci%3Af3841c01-b744-11e7-8a08-74dbd1809ab1%7Cparentrq%3A44e2eb0a15f0a887a36b3715fffee9a3%7Ciid%3A25

If you want to come down when you get your truck back together I'll help you out.

We sat in that Home Depot parking lot for all that time and neither of us thought to just go inside for some connectors to hook those wires up!

Met up with Brandon aka Nasty from the forum here this morning and swapped his jump seat for my console at the request (insistence!) of my wife just in case we ever need to get 3 in my truck when her car wasn't available...
