  1. Whelen pioneer slimline. https://www.strobesnmore.com/Whelen-Single-Dual-Pioneer-SlimLine-Scenelight.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw5Ij2BRBdEiwA0Frc9YIQhEZAdiZub6bL-KR7A4q8_GDCTXMDarIa7QVItL_4eH3tP-bVzRoCUdwQAvD_BwE When you upfit police cars you tend to stick with that equipment when you see the abuse it can take!
  2. Finally finished wrapping the fog light bezels... grill is next.
  3. No issues here. I used a piece of angle iron across the whole lip of the tailgate at first.... but quickly gave up. The multi pro takes the weight fine.
  4. I still like Yakima. Only way to “nicely” get a rack on top of my tonneau cover. Retrax with the rack. Now, stage two coming this summer, is a roof top tent on a second set of feet between the two tall towers. I will be able to have the kayaks on the rack plus a roof top tent under. Pretty excited about the camping opportunities with this set up, and still with locking storage in the bed Yes it’s expensive, but fabbing one out of aluminum would be a pain in the ass.
  5. I completely agree it’s a safety issue and I already have!
  6. The lights make it easier to see through my tints. The screen is so bright that I honestly don’t think the new lights made it any brighter. And yes, I ignore the screen until the last few inches to make sure I don’t hit anything. I only use my side mirrors backing up I don’t look out the back window at all to be honest.
  7. I do have blind spot detection, the sensor for that is in the mirror I believe. Its working as it normally did before I installed the lights. There are no sensors in the footwell.
  8. I went high with mine. I was able to bolt them right to the bumper. Also, once you cut that huge plastic trim piece into two pieces, it’s way easier to handle lol.
  9. Not really that flush but the steps are so big it didn’t matter. They’re whelen Pioneer NANO-6’s however any smaller LED would work. As for wiring, I tapped the reverse wire from the taillight to trip a relay. Power and ground I grabbed from the back side of the trailer plug. I fused it again since it’s better to be redundant, only needed 5 amps. I’ll look tonight if the screen gets better, I highly doubt it though. However seeing through the tint using the mirrors should be way better.
  10. Got sick of not being able to see while backing up at night (blinding screen and tinted windows)
  11. I had the lights in my garage, so I figured I’d use them lol. I wanted them as recessed as I could get so I cut the valence and put them in.
  12. They’re bolted right to the bumper actually. They’re made by Whelen, I build police cars on the side and I prefer their lighting.
  13. I looked at their website earlier they do have one for the new Sierra’s
  14. Finally got around to some lighting up front. Got the lights installed at least. I’ll wire them up tomorrow hopefully.
  15. See, I don’t mind the looks but AVS missed it on this one. It looks like there is plenty of room to add white lights in there as well. If they had that available as a lightbar of sorts plus the marker lights I would go for it.
  16. Are you anywhere near Connecticut?
  17. GM parts only has chrome and black chrome. Black chrome was $80 or something a piece vs chrome was $50 ish.
  18. Looks good from far, but far from good. I tore the vinyl in a couple spots and didn’t have enough for the other one. I would order two extra bezels from GM parts and wrap those, then put them on. Take your time and go slow, get good vinyl that stretches and go for it. I’m no pro that’s for sure but it was a fun learning experience. The grill is the next project...
  19. First attempt at vinal wrap. Took 3 tries, and I broke too many clips. Another bezel on order [emoji20] Before After
  20. Does anyone know if there is a different lining in the gas fuel tank vs diesel? I have to imagine the HD gas trucks have a bigger tank, there has to be a way to swap it.
  21. I used it to get back to my hunting spot. No deer though...
  22. Yup, kennel is going back into the back seat! He doesn’t puke while he’s in there!
  23. Well, the puppy threw up. So I learned how to dismantle the interior to clean it.....
  24. AT4, 1800 miles. Only annoyed at how freakin bright the screen gets while the backup camera is on at night. My 2014 didn’t do that..... hint hint GM freakin fix it already
  25. I got the retrax, love it!
