  1. Me either.
  2. Get a good scan tool and go to ABS data. Have some one else drive and watch the wheel speeds as you come to a slow stop. You will see one wheel speed drop to zero and thats what the ebcm is seeing as a locked wheel and activating the ABS.Thats the bad hub bearing. We are in NY and have issues from salt and corrosion and deal with this alot. Hope this helps.
  3. No freon in the system will not cause the cooling fans to run on high speed, more than likely a sensor is disconnected. Scan for trouble codes and go from there. When your mechanic was checking the system he may have left something disconnected.
  4. The Denali has a variable ratio steering rack that uses the input from the steering wheel position sensor to vary the rate of assist and also the stabiltrack uses it in conjunction with the Yaw sensor and brake input to apply the brakes on the inside wheels in a high speed turn if certain conditions are met so the driver can regain some control.
  5. The steering wheel position sensor located at the bottom of the steering column.
  6. Replace it, a very common failure item.
  7. Do not buy anything with the M5U 8speed transmission. Cant fix the unfixable. Absolute ****** and nothing but a problem.
  8. No AFM on a 2500 6.0 gasser. No vacuum pump, no direct injection, just a bullet proof long lasting truck engine.
  9. Why would you clear the code?Bring it back to the dealer and let them fix it.That is a common problem with the M5U, as well as harsh up shifts, harsh down shifts and delayed engagement after sitting for a few hours or overnight. As well as TCC shudder, that transmission is a nightmare. I strongly suggest an extended warranty if you plan on keeping this truck for any length of time.
  10. If you have a dipstick you dont have the 8 speed. Count your blessings.
  11. How are you refilling the transmission? There is no dipstick on these pieces of ******.
  12. That TSB is 18NA355. You use 20 quarts of HP fluid to perform the flush. Your dealer is full of ******, we go threw case after case of it and never have a problem getting it.
  13. Were they all on one bank?
  14. The torque converter shudder is with the M5U 8L90E, 8 speed transmission, not the 6l80E. You don't do a transmission fluid exchange with the new HP fluid on the 6 speed. It uses DEX 6.The torque converter probably came apart sending metal debris threw the whole unit, ruining the pump and causing low line pressure in turn burning up the clutches and causing the shuddering your feeling. The converter alone would be a waste of time and money. That needs to come out and overhauled.
  15. Stay away from the 8 speed at all costs. Absolutely horrible.
  16. Have the dealer review PIT5206f, document ID#4875355. Exact symptoms you are experiencing.
  17. What the writer is saying that when a part is on national back order or some other reason unavailable threw normal channels we do what is called SPAC it. Stands for special parts assistance center, they will check dealers inventory and ask that dealer if he wants to sell it to the dealer that needs it.Happens alot.
  18. Reread the TSB, clearly states L96, is included in the bulletin, fifth engine mentioned in the upper right of the TSB. You can use anything on your truck you want, I'm just saying be careful because I have been a line mechanic in a GM dealer for 44 years and have never seen GM get so picky on warranty claims. They require documentation of maintenance records, calibration files and now pictures to TAC and PQC, and will deny a claim for the smallest reason. Your playing with fire if you think your going to win against them.
  19. Document ID 4785111.url
  20. See document ID#4785111-TSB-17-NA-157 about the use of oil filters on these trucks. You can do as you wish, its your truck, but GM built it and warranties it so I would be inclined to follow their own recommendations rather than all the experts on these forums.Sure the 63 will spin on and physically fit but they are not the same internally.
  21. give me the last 8 of the vin and i will run it for you
