  1. Ditched my aftermarkets for some OEM GMC 18's - Not a "lift" per say, but Bilstein 5100's set to 1.8" 285/65r18 Falken WildPeak AT3. MacOS "Photos" inserts images in upside down... no clue why.
  2. I was very close to pulling the trigger on the Method 301 - Standard (Machined), but the GMC wheel deal was too good to pass on! *IF* I ever lift this truck, the machined Method will be my wheel of choice, but only if I need the room.
  3. Ditched the Pro-Comps for some OEM GMC Sierra 18's Wasn't feeling the black wheel look. Perhaps if I dechrome it would work, but the most I'm planning on doing is the mirror caps and door handles in silver.
  4. removed the factory running boards. Sorry, bad pic
  5. Removed my factory running boards. Pardon the bad pic... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Lots of pics please! MOAB is on my list of "to-dos"
  7. No shake on my 2016 except when I drive on a section of freeway that is grooved concrete and yes it occurs between 70-80mph. BUT this only appeared after I changed the stock 20" wheel/Goodyear tire combo for the current 18" Pro-Comp/Falken setup on the truck. It's that concrete grooved surface that runs with the flow of traffic. It's really the only time I experience the vibes. Again, the truck did not have this when running the stock wheel/tire setup, so I can't really blame the truck, but I'm going to play with air pressures a bit on these E-rateds and see what happens. I'm even considering finding stock 18" wheels to rule out the Pro-Comps and the 0-offset.
  8. Zone/BDS and Pro-Comp are all compatible with Stabiltrac. I'm sure there are others, but those are what I know off the top of my noggin.
  9. looks fine to me! What wheel and offset? I'd probably change from a 0 offset to a +18 - +24 if I go with a Zone. Cutten Customs has been around for a couple decades, they do great work work. Also, one of the few authorized Zone dealers in our area from what I understand. Thanks again for the info.
  10. Truck looks great. if you had to guess, just how far out did the Zone push the front track? I really don't want to push the front track wider, but I don't want an RC bracket lift either. Also, Who did the lift? Yourself or a shop in the Houston Area?
  11. Legit Question. If the truck is raised 1.85 inches on the highest setting, how is the spring more compressed? I've heard this before but I don't quite understand. If the truck didn't lift up on the highest setting, then I'd understand the compressed spring thing. I doubt Bilstein is configuring this for a poor ride at any height setting.... hence why they offer nothing over 2" in height. They are Germans! it's over-engineered, it's what they do They came up with 1.85" for a legit reason I'd imagine. Additional question. What are your tire sizes, load rating, and pressures? So many things can cause bad ride quality... Heck, you may even have a defective Bilstien.
  12. I'd be in a Ram Rebel right now if it wasn't for two things... no cooled seats and that stupid transmission knob. I drove the fords, ain't paying that kind of money for a plastic interior.
  13. Highest setting and I’m on e-rated 285/65r18 but truck drove well on the p-rated 20’s as well. I’d say the E’s are harder. Now a bit of background on my previous truck... I drove a 2000 Dodge Ram Cummins QCLB 4x4 2500 6-speed “camper special” running 35” tires with Bilstein 5100s for 8 years. This Chevy 1/2 ton on 5100s is like a Cadillac to me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Removed the lower portion of the air-dam And added a Magnaflow exhaust Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. interesting.... in my truck, the bucking stopped as soon as I dumped the Ranchos and installed the 5100 (shock body down in the rear). For those with the bucking complaint, I notice two things. One has a 2-inch lift block, the other states 5100's in the rear only Can we get some clarification Aaron1121: Are the 2inch lift blocks on top of the factory 1" block, or did this block replace the factory setup entirely? Sierra Dan: You have 5100's in the back and Ranchos in the front? I can't help but think this mismatch is not helping. As for the Bilsteins, I will say this. They aren't for everyone. If you want a cush ride, get you some new Monroes. You want less dive under heavy breaking, less lean in the turns, and more control over expansion joints, railroad tracks, etc.. get the Bilstiens
  16. 2016 z71 - Bilstein 5100 (1.85" setting) all around, 18x9 0 offset Pro-Comp Rockwells wrapped in 285/65r18 e-rated Falken Wildpeaks. Kinda wish I would have gone 275/70r18- more specs in the sig link Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Ditched the factory 20" setup for some Pro Comp 34's and 285/65r18 Falken Wildpeak AT/3. I'm pleased (for now)
  18. Truck looks great... I really like the looks of the Pro-Comp 34, so much I picked up a set today. Since my truck runs the Bilsteins I'm .75 lower than you up front so I'm going to try for a 275/70r18. Not sure on the tire, though. Ran the Nitto TGG2 on my Cummins and they were excellent. Might just go back to them for this truck.
  19. Excellent looking truck! The Roosts look incredible... and you've convinced me the 285/65 Ridge Grappler is the way to go. Thanks!
  20. no.. but it is the best change I've done to this truck since I got it. The Rancho's are pure junk
  21. The hill decent control on the Silverado is amazing!!!
  22. Bilstein 5100 -stock wheel/tire combo (for now)
  23. Here's a shot of my new to me 2016 LTZ+ Z71 2lz. Stock for now, but I'm really enjoying this pickup.
