  1. Got my front windows tinted and today my bed mat and tonneau cover arrived. I usually get the Mx4 but this time opted for the BAK Revolver 2. I also have Lasfit floor mats on order, I like the looks and the reviews are good. Besides that I ordered a set of stainless steel, polished side moldings, EGR in-channel window visors and a tray for the console. Floor Mats Liners For Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 1500 2019 2020 2021 Crew Cab | eBay 8pc 1 1/8" Wide Stainless Body Side Molding for 19-20 Sierra 1500 Crew 6'6" Bed | eBay Center Console Organizer for 2019 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 /Chevrolet Silverado 1500 | eBay Terrible how much you have to spent to get the truck right.
  2. I just bought a new 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Duramax with the Premium Plus package. When test driving it, the 3.0L diesel engine really impressed me, especially compared to a Ram EcoDiesel (GDE tuned) I had a few years ago. Now I just have to get a few things to add like all weather floor liners, a bed cover, vent visors and get the windows tinted.
  3. Nice unit. My questions is does it play well with the steering wheel controls? Also, my truck has a lot of programmable features which are controlled through the head unit.....will that still work the same?
  4. I will look at that when and if it stops raining here. Thanks for the info.
  5. I also have the adjustable pedals which I keep al the way forward since I am tall. I don't know if my accelerator pedal has the flex issue but it didn't feel right, in my opinion mostly because it is to far forward in relation to the brake pedal. I found that the acc. pedal will move forward almost 3/8" before the brake pedal starts moving. I saved that position as one of the memory settings and have been using it ever since. To me it made a huge difference in feel because it also change the acc. pedal angle. Give it try if you have the adjustable pedals and usually have them forward.
  6. The 3.5L ecoboost engine is designed for 87 octane fuel which is the recommended fuel listed in the owner's manual. There is no benefit in running premium in an engine designed for 87. On the other hand most engines designed for premium will run OK on 87 because the ECM will just derate the engine power by retarding the ignition timing once spark knock is detected. You will loose efficiency and some power though.
  7. I had two F-150s with the 3.5L ecoboost engine (2012 and 2015) and always used regular 87 octane gas. Never had a problem even when towing.
  8. Found out today that I can change the map view by repeatedly pushing the NAV button while the map is displayed. It cycles between travel direction up, North up and 3D view.
  9. I guess I will use Dexos 0-20, I have two free oil changes since I bought a CPO. I will probably stick with the dealer oil changes every 5K, my truck may not need it but it gives me piece of mind. By the way what does a dealer oil change and tire rotation cost for a Sierra 6.2L ? When I had Fords it was always around 50,00 (semi-syn oil, filter, rotation and a multi point inspection plus a complimentary carwash), for my Tundra the same was around 70.00.
  10. Just so you know...….the cupholders in my 2017 can not be moved.
  11. Every manufacturer usually states that oil consumption up tp quart every 1K miles is considered normal. If my truck would use that much it would be time for me to trade.
  12. Mine shows title and artist on the radio screen. I had artwork (photo of the album cover) in all my Rams and Fords but I honestly do not miss it because my head unit is in map view 99% of the time.
  13. First time late model GM truck owner (had a few old GM clunker trucks 30 years ago) after decades of Ford and Rams. Located just outside Ft. Leonard Wood.
  14. I seen those frame plugs on eBay and will get me a set once my eBay bucks are ready. Nice little visual improvement.
