  1. I just got a call today from the GM business resource center after they got my certified letter for the final BBB inspection and she said they have no fix yet so the inspection is null and I should continue on with the BBB for the repurchase.
  2. Could be a harmonic balancer issue. With the motor running look at the balancer for movement.
  3. Let me tell you a little story, In 2000 I had an S10 Blazer blow 2 engines and GM refused to replace the SUV under the lemon law and it qualified. I hired a Lawyer sued GM and a year later GM was instructed by the court to basically pay me 3 times the MSRP (about $90,000) in damages for the Blazer PLUS all my legal fees. All I asked for was a replacement SUV when it went to BBB arbitration. THIS is how stupid GM is. What could that Blazer have really cost GM to make $15K maybe? When I got through with them that little Blazer cost them about $150,000 once they got finished paying me and my lawyers and court costs. So if they don't replace this Silverado you know where i'm headed once again!
  4. Many states including mine have a simple non compliant not performing as designed clause that would make no difference if it was a safety issue or not.
  5. Honestly I think we will eventually have to sue them. My neighbor is a Lawyer that works for car Dealers of all things and he said the Krohn and Moss Law firm is the one to go with. He called them a well oiled lemon law machine. https://www.yourlemonlawrights.com/illinois-lemon-law?KCTrkrIdId=ILBETA1&gclid=CjwKCAjw3azoBRAXEiwA-_64OlvB9MTij2QgyPik7X1jUZTnLb0Yn8E67TnDeDSwQlLUl_g1mi1VGxoCI20QAvD_BwE
  6. They are stalling because they have no revised parts to fix them yet. They are doing the same thing with me. They must have a ton of BBB cases pending. They offered me an extended warranty that I refused.
  7. GM knows whats causing it they just don't have a fix for it yet. And no time frame as to when the fix will be available. They have instructed Dealers to stop trying to repair the trucks that suffer from it. See the screen shot below.
  8. Well this is what I thought also. They replaced my front differential and half shafts and everything was fine for about the first 800-1000 miles then it slowly came back again just as it did when the truck was new. Now im jingling once again. GM has put out a directive to Dealers not to repair the issue until GM engineering figures it out. However for me with no firm time frame for the repair fix its just not good enough. If I wanted to buy a Truck that sounds like trash going down the interstate I could have saved myself $50K and bought one with 150K miles on it.
  9. Yes it did after about 800 miles almost the same time as when it was new.
  10. Join the club after I refused the extended warranty offer its been crickets from GM. No matter if they don't do the right thing by me I will sue them through Krohn and Moss lemon lawyers.
  11. So this Morning I start the truck and I have a check engine light come on and get this email. I decided to go with the buy back/exchange I just cant take this any more. If GM fights it im going to sue them for putting me through this mess.
  12. Well I just got an offer from GM on my jingle lemon. They are offering to extend the factory warranty to 72 months or 100K miles 0 deductible in lew of a replacement. what are your thoughts??
  13. Get a replacement with the newest build possible. Whats the worst that could happen, you get a brand new unit and it starts chirping again BUT they already said they are working on a fix so at least you get a newer unit for your trouble and in the end maybe 6 months down the road they come up with permanent a fix.
  14. Now its time to file for a buyback. No Fix is breach of warranty. Trying to figure out isn't getting your truck to perform as designed. Who knows how long its going to take them to come up with a fix?? Protect yourself get your BBB paperwork started soon.
  15. It’s an internal GM memo to dealers. Not really meant for public eyes.
  16. Also you could try putting a tank full of premium gas in it just to see if it might be a spark knock issue.
  17. I would get it in and have the Dealer look at it. The 6.2 is known to have rocker issues in the Corvette community.
  18. This is the 6.2L in my Corvette. They are not quiet engines but yours does sound a little clacky.
  19. They just issued a stop fix bulletin on May 29th for this issue. look in this thread around page 6. It states more or less that GM is working on a fix but its not officially out yet and dealers should stop trying to repair it until they release the fix.
  20. Makes no difference as long as 30 days pass after the problem is reported to GM. It could be 6 months before they come up with a fix. Most lemon laws state a permanent fix for any non conformity must be performed within 30 days. I'm going on 25 days now. The key is the last line "When a Repair is Available"
  21. Woo Hoo! Well this pretty much opens it up to a non conformity buy back since no official repair is available. I owe you a great big kiss! "JINGLE"!!! LOL tell me GM isnt in this forum on a daily basis.
  22. I find it can stick sometimes if the truck is not level.
  23. Im told no because its a first year vehicle GM has a replace policy because they want the bad parts back so they can tear them down and find the root cause or common denominator to the flaw. I think once they are 100% sure of the fix needed they will be just repairing the differentials in the future.
  24. Well the problem is GM. The Dealer has to get instructions from GM what to replace not the other way around this is what I ran into. GM engineering tech center is the only one that can approve or disapprove a requested repair so im told. The Dealer calls them with the issue and they go to there flow chart of approved fixes smallest like grease the boots first then on it goes. I would assume by the time I got my truck in by trial and error GM had already zoned in on the differential issue. They (GM) don't even have an official TSB on this yet. So essentially we are the beta testers for this issue. The real puzzle is not all the differentials have this flaw. If you already had your differential replaced and you still hear the sound you might have been one of the "lucky" ones to get old stock and another one from the bad batch. GM is not the maker of the differential Eaton is. GM must be working with Eaton on the issue but the bottom line is its Eatons issue not really GMs.
