  1. My company took the Ford away and gave me this piece. It vibrates from 30-40 then goes away and comes back at 60. It feels like driving on washboard. Also the service 4wd and service stabilitrack light comes on. When the 4wd light is on the tcase doesn't shift. Out of desperation we replaced the tires and nothing changed. The closest dealer is 5 hours away, and none of the mechanics nearby after $5K spent have any idea. Anyone out there??? Please Help!
  2. Don't worry about the towing, they're awesome. I lost my contract and need to sell my 2020 3.0 she has 39000. Anyone want a LTZ fully loaded for 50K?
  3. The people above don't understand diesel regeneration. While these trucks can be driven 15 miles everyday it will eventually cause issues. The basic question remains; why would you buy this truck for short commutes? Diesels are horrible when it comes to maintenance; fuel filters, DPF, injectors, turbos, etc. Don't do it unless your going to run it. Go to any diesel shop and ask them.
  4. Fuel is low now because a decrease in OTR trucks. Eventually the supply chain will recover and diesel will be .50 - 1.00 more then gas. All fuels are priced at least 1.00 too low currently. Enjoy it while its cheap.
  5. Ya sounds like your not gonna put a lot of miles on it and remain in warranty so sure. Although you might find that the small added expense of owning a diesel offsets fuel prices. Also diesel fuel will cost more the gas soon.
  6. Engines run forever if they don't get turned off. Semi trucks achieve 1 million miles all the time. Taxi cabs run well into 750K. Starting an engine is when damage occurs. Do you want to do this 20X a day? Also it takes a toll on the starter, flexplate, battery and relays. I bought the range before I took ownership of my truck. IT WORKS ON THE 3.0!!
  7. People need to quit relating the other Duramax to ours. Their not even ALMOST the same. the big diesels are designed by Isuzu and the babies by FEV. While the codes are the same in some instances this does not cross over from big engines to ours. You have a warranty and you bought a great engine with an ok truck wrapped around it. I have 36K on mine now and it just runs better every day. I think break in is close to done, my oil analysis levels look great.
  8. I was told the DEF recall was for trucks that either A used NONE, or B trucks like mine that used a TON of def. Either way after the def recall mine has stabilized and uses way less been consistent for 15K. Question is what affect of using none or too much has on the exhaust system.
  9. Bilstein is the way to go. My truck bounced like crazy, afterwards the bounce is gone and it handles way better.
  10. Just drive it but remember diesels want to get warmed up and drive. They aren't great for short trips. Disable your start-stop.
  11. Mine runs above 210 and way below depending on something. The truck get 32mpg when there is no wind and ideal circumstances. Put a trailer on it and mileage goes to 20; even the smallest trailer. I can see how the 3.73 gears could change mileage. Great engine but it is a tiny 3.0. I guess we'll see how it holds up, I'm at 32K and going strong.
  12. The GM oil is made by Mobile that's why they sell it too. I'm pissed because they won't identify it as a FA4 or a CK oil. There are a few FA4 oils of proper viscosity for this engine on the market (0-20 is not one).
  13. Warranty Solutions, they have a specific plan call green diesel or something that clearly states it covers ALL diesel components.
  14. I bought the extended warranty to find out it does NOT cover DPF, Cat, and exhaust. These are the things that will fail. I ended up cancelling for a full refund and bought the only extended warranty I could find that covers emissions systems.
  15. It uses 3 times more when towing. My truck get 30mpg not towing and uses 1 gallon per 1K. When towing its easily 3 gallons per if not more. Your mileage will also drop significantly. Expect 15MPG. I have 30K on my truck with 5K towing so my numbers are pretty solid. When I tow I bring 4 2.5 gallon boxes. I hate the 5 gallon buckets. Tractor supply has 2.5 boxes for $7 as does walmart. As long as it says API on the box its good; and they all are API certed.
  16. Ed Bozarth is pretty good. My engine is great but truck has weird infotainment quirks and climate control issues. No matter how good the dealer is they only can do with the provided FSBs or TSBs to do. This is a bad on GM, and the USA in general. ALL PARTS need to be made and assembled in the USA; I'd pay more for that.
  17. My LTZ sags with the smallest amount: I'd go with additional support
  18. my 2020 does the same thing, took it to dealer last week and they flashed it again. Now its WAY worse, at one point it lost the radio ID for a day, the screen goes black for a bit and it started fake dropping cell calls ( going to radio during a call and then returning to the call). The NAV is horrible all the time.
  19. It does, says something in the manual about it.
  20. End link comes off, no alignment needed. There's a sold youtube on it for a 2019. They're the same.
  21. Got mine in yesterday. LTZ left it at stock ride height because I have 3.0 and am looking for mileage. The shocks are AMAZING!! No more bounce, drives like it should. Highly recommend. It's not that big of a deal the fronts are just struts. Compress the spring and R+R
  22. What happens if you get into an wreck? Take the GAP. I financed through GM to get the deals and the immediately refinanced through my credit union. Gap was $300 for the term vs GMs 900$. The dealer I bought it from wasn't happy but screw them.
