  1. I empty mine about every 7500 miles when I do my oil change. it's always about 1/2 to 3/4 full.
  2. I would have to check on that for sure, but of the top of my head I do believe they are the same.
  3. Looks like clear coat. Remove it, sand it, reclear and polish. Will probably be a challenge to get it to look right.
  4. It’s all a matter of perspective I guess. Adding it in theory is possible but not even realistic as mentioned. I have a Sierra that is premium plus, and the parking sensors and blind spot are well worth it in Houston. The rear cross traffic alert helped one time when a “wayward” child ran behind my truck backing out at Home Depot due to inattentive parents(don’t even get me started on that).
  5. It’s an easy install and well made.
  6. So what happens when you try it? That would be the only way you would find out. I've never tried it on mine; but yes the switch stays active so you can disable it if you wish. My guess is it would do the same relative to reactivation.
  7. Go over to settings, then info page options. From here, you can deselect engine hours. Hope this is what you were looking for.
  8. Thanks. I tried to reel it back in and keep it informative, but no luck.
  9. At that weight, it's personal preference. You will be light enough that you do not need to use it. Try it; if it feels more comfortable to you, then go with it. An oversimplification, but essentially what happens is your line pressure is increased to the transmission, engine mapping/throttle is relaxed, and up shifts are longer(allows more rpm, and will hold a gear longer). Downshifts are quicker and more noticeable to increase engine braking.
  10. No grease fittings. I can look up the torque tomorrow, but what you did is fine. A common squeak point is where the leafs actually stack and the pads between them.
  11. There has been an issue with some leaf bolts not up to torque specs, and needing to be tightened. I would check that first. If not, some white lithium grease will help you isolate where it may be coming from.
  12. I have this one and it works well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N2WBWJ8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  13. I’ve never seen a cap, but there is a 1.5 inch shorty on amazon.
  14. I had the same problem on my F150. Bilstein 4600’s fixed it. Can’t wait until they have the 4600’s for the new Sierra. Hate that feeling.
  15. This was a topic on results from my catch can, and invite others to share theirs. There are other threads dealing with pros, cons, and right or wrong. If y'all want to talk about that, cool. Go have your "who's is bigger" contest in the appropriate thread please.
  16. Purchase Here: https://www.jlttruecoldair.com/jlt-3-0-oil-separator-2019-chevy-silverado-1500-gmc-sierra-1500-5-3l-6-2l-v8/ Go to the bottom and click on videos. Super easy.
  17. I can tell you generically we see this a lot with all kinds of trucks that have rear leaf springs. As mentioned, re torque the u bolt nuts. If you don't have a torque wrench, arc them about a quarter of turn.
  18. PDR on a hard crease like that is very difficult. I'm not sure they can do it where it will ever look right. I'm sure you can call some and send a picture for an opinion. Good luck.
  19. I have the JLT and this is what I got after 4,000 miles...about half full. Also the range DFM works well with the 5.3 and 8 speed.
  20. I installed mine on my 2020 Sierra 5.3 at about 1,500 miles. At 5,500 miles I decided to check it. So after 4,000 miles this is what I found; about half full which seemed to be 2 to 3 ounces. That’s a fair amount of oil and it’s even more important to catch it on DI engines.
  21. Interesting. They can usually be cleaned out through the drain hole. Would have to be something misassembled or misaligned with it being so new. Dash tear downs usually leave you with squeaks and rattles. Good luck.
  22. Back in or pull through as if you backed in wherever you can. People will park close next to you, or not pull up far enough across from you making it tight to back out. And take your turns a hair wider. After a few days of getting used to the handling and size, you won't notice.
  23. For me the tailgate is a big help. I use my truck everyday for work, and my guys load and unload heavy items. Dropping the upper tailgate makes it much easier as you can get closer to the bed, and don't have to reach so far. I have some back issues, so it's much easier to climb in via the Multi pro step that than the corner steps for me. Also, dropping the upper gate makes it a lot easier to load and secure long items such as lumber. To each their, own, but for me it works.
  24. Highly unlikely it would cause any issues. Anything is possible, but it would seem really strange it would be two quarts overfilled. They would have lost some oil from the cooler repairing the leak, so it would be logical they checked and adjusted. On modern engines, overfilling can cause smoking issues as there will usually be excessive oil splashed up on the oil rings. I would not be to terribly concerned.
