  1. Is this so your schoolmates can hear you clap wherever you go?
  2. This forum has a marketplace for things like this. You need 50 posts to be able to list your items for sale there. Since this is your first post, I recommend you make 49 more so we can build some rapport with you.
  3. You may be right, but that's not what the owner's manual says. Therefore, GM should bear some responsibility.
  4. I endured a category 2 hurricane with a 2007 Tahoe. Truck was solid, until the engine failed on a cross country trip, lol. Lots of confidence in Chevy because of that. I've been in a tropical storm in Southern Nevada in the Trail Boss. I could feel the wind, and the mpgs sucked, but it was planted and went through the tumbleweeds just fine.
  5. I've been in cars that were being pushed all over the highway by strong wind, etc. It's all in how the car is made. One of the reasons I won't buy a Toyota is the way the vehicles drive make me think the sway bars are too thin. I've noticed a lot of lean in corners. A strong cross wind will have any vehicle that's not well planted pushed all over the place. You have a solid point about give profile vehicles, but it can happen to lower profile vehicles, too. Nonetheless, if rather have a 3 row crossover SUV or a diesel Suburban as my long trip vehicle. The roominess makes a huge difference, especially if you end up pulling over in a small town where some "convention/rodeo" is happening and the hotels are booked up. If rather sleep in my car at a rest area and shower at a truck stop the next morning than pay $300+ for 1 night in a motel. Btw, best wind storm I've ever been in was in Kansas. I was driving an 88 Fiero on I-70. Strong sustained winds, but the gusts were a real treat. They were so strong that they'd flex the hood downward and pop up the headlight covers. If have to slow down to get the headlight covers to go back down again.
  6. Market coming full circling again. El Camino and Subaru Brat, then the Ford Explorer SportTrac and Subaru Outlook Baja, now the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz. The little car trucks are passing fads. Always have been, and will continue to be.
  7. Different strokes for different folks. Everybody is different. Where I'm at everybody is freezing when it gets below 70. I'm in shorts year round.
  8. Does that mean you're not smart money?
  9. I've had many Raptor owners tell me they hate the 10-speed. Apparently they thunk shifting into 4th and 7th on the Fords. No issue to date with my Chevy. I have 21,4xx miles on the odometer. I did read an article once that they valving is different for GM and Ford 10-speeds.
  10. I don't get why this is an issue at this time. The modification was made prior to enactment of the new law. IINAL, but the COTUS does have a grandfather clause that would permit the exhaust to stay. I suspect a legal challenge may be coming. If not the OP then somebody with money and time.
  11. Kinda like people who pay $10k-$20k more for a hybrid instead of a gasser when it'll take years and years to pay for the money spent for the upgrade. Fools and money are often departed.
  12. It's called the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. It's federal law. Using non-OEM parts is not sufficient means for voiding a warranty. The manufacturer has to be able to prove the aftermarket part caused the failure in order to deny warranty repairs.
  13. I don't. If I was worried about mpg I would've bought the diesel engine.
  14. I'm not familiar with the BDS kit to know what it comes with. However, that's definitely CV axle grease coming out. Iirc, the GM lift kit for the Trail Boss/AT4 include new cv axles. If the BDS kit didn't come with axles I would start to wonder if the axles are long enough.
  15. Just because it's 60 outside doesn't mean it's 60 inside. The interior is usually warmed up by the sun. There's no breeze inside the cabin to cool down the temps.
  16. I don't think the CV is the issue. They normally clunk when the grease is out. The noises are worse while turning, especially while backing up and turning. Are you driving in Auto 4WD mode all the time?
  17. I don't have a job. It was cheaper to stop working than to put 3 kids in childcare. Gotta love Southern California. I'm not collecting benefits either. Never applied. Didn't think it would be morally right.
  18. Your welcome. Not using it full time will increase mpg and decrease wear on drivetrain.
  19. I didn't make the truck, so I trust the professionals that did. They recommend 93 octane, but that's not available where I'm at, so I use the next closest thing -- 91.
  20. I wear a crown in Fortnite because I'm decent at the game. Is that the same thing? BTT: Catch cans are bad. Don't use them on the L87.
  21. I learned the secret to a long life is keeping my mouth shut (I don't plan on living very long, lol). There's an old Chinese proverb that goes something like, "A fool speaks because they want to say something. A wise person speaks because they have something to say." Furthermore, Albert Einstein said, "If you can't simply explain it, you simply don't understand it." Your posts are long and frequent. I'll let you continue to make yourself look bad. Remember, Grumpy put me on his ignore list so he won't see this message.
  22. I'll have to look, but I think I still have my fake wood trim pieces sitting in a box in my garage. I went a different direction and won't need them anymore. These are for a crew cab with the center console.
  23. Have you looked into Baja Designs? I went with the GM Accessories sportbar and added a 40" lightbar to the top of it, and finished that up by writing into the GM Upfitter switches.
  24. Sounds like you may need an alignment. Also, the owners manual tells you the AWB setting shouldn't be used full time. It's meant for when the road condition could be slippery are loose.
