My concern is the home of the tailgate. I use to have the GM Accessories gap filler, and it caused the plastic bushing to crack and the tailgate was sliding out every time I would open out close it. This grab handle looks like it could put stress on the hinge and damage it. I did end up installing the GM handle for a different reason, but very glad I did.

Not yet. I've had mine on since the first week of Aug 2020. Iirc, they're made of aluminum. I'm not a metalurgist, but I believe think that's mean it won't rust. If that's true, I'd just touch it up with paint.

Back in MY2007 the Tahoe/Suburban and Silverado were almost identical. Today they are very different. I had a 2007 Tahoe and installed the second battery by placing on tray already installed at factory, and securing with mount I bought at the dealership. It was that simple. I then changed several wires over to what the PPV/SSV Tahoes were using. These new Silverados don't have a pre-installed 2nd battery tray, and almost everything got moved to the opposite side of where it sat in the previous several generations. If I were to do the 2nd battery again, I'd start by trying to find schematics for the Silverados sold via GM Fleet to police and fire departments. If you can't find schematics, ask a friend that works at the fire station to let you look for a 2nd battery. I wonder if GM mounted it down low, or under the truck. It wouldn't be the first time something like this was done. Iirc, the only battery in the Chrysler Concorde (iirc), was at the bottom of the engine compartment. Maybe GM installs it under the rear seat in an enclosed compartment. The battery in my wife's 2017 Traverse is in the floor of the 2nd row on the passenger side. I have to remove floormats and slide the front passenger seat all the way forward if I want to remove it.

A higher rev limiter for the Corvette would permit the higher peak horsepower, too. Horsepower and torque curves cross each other at 5,252 RPMs. The rev limiter in our trucks, iirc, is only a few ticks above that. I think it's 5,600 RPMs. I believe our trucks are still climbing in the horsepower curve when it's told to stop increasing RPMs by the computer.

Iirc, there's a way to limit the speed via the settings of the DIC. If you exceed that speed you'll get a message like what you're seeing. You may have inadvertently set the notification to 0 kph while exploring the settings.

Not always. Depends on the code. Most of the time, yes.

Tailgate wire harness may be different, but is whatever the harness plugs into also different?

I think the big question here is, "What do you want to do to your truck?" Many of us can point to mods, but that doesn't mean you'd have any interest in them.

Thanks for providing the pics. I was hoping for a side profile of the seats to see how far they stick out. However, what you've shown me has me concerned about whether or not a gun would fit there anyways due to the molle panel being very close to the floor.

If I were in your shoes I'd start by building a 2021 High Country, then do an inventory search on GM's website. You'll be able to find a VIN this way. You can then use that VIN to locate the parts via your dealer.

There is a different wiring harness from the factory. If you chose to go this route you'd have to drop the entire headliner. Otherwise, try splicing in like one of the posts above describes.

I installed a missile launcher in the bed of my truck. That space on the dash is where I put the launch button. I then tried selling my truck to the military for use in Afghanistan, but they decided to pull out faster than a teenage boy on prom night not wanting to get his date pregnant.

Had front windows tinted to match rear

I did something very different many years ago. I had a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS. I first converted the center brake light to led, then put a single layer of vinyl wrap over the light with COBALT SS cut out. The vinyl was the same color as the car -- silver. Whenever I stepped on the brakes the light would shine through the vinyl as if the vinyl wasn't there. It made the vinyl disappear at night. If the lights are led, and bright enough, this might make for a very clean look.

This will open a can of worms. There's over half a dozen numbers, some old numbers that direct to new numbers. What is needed to help you is to know exactly what you have, and what you're looking for. The harness you're looking for info on is part of the harness that connects to everything in the center console, including rear seat USB and the key fob reader in the center of the front cup holders. To get you the right info we will need to know if you have rear heated seats, wireless phone charging, and center console SD card port. Btw, I recently upgraded to wireless phone charging. My truck had the harness with no rear heated seats, no wireless phone charging, and yes to SD card reader in center console. If this is what you're looking for, not only could I answer your questions with pics, but I could also sell you the harness.

Earlier today I found myself literally standing in the driveway sipping on an ice cold arnold palmer while my daughter was playing with other kids in the cul de sac. I had nothing else to do, but stand there (the joy of getting over a nasty illness). So, I decided to start working on the custom wire harnesses I'm making for the Rough Country dual led lights for the grille I posted about above. The wire harness they sent is not only cheap junk, but also useless to me. I'm connecting to the GM Upfitter switches I already have in my truck. I'll be sure to take pictures, measurements, provide links to everything, etc so everybody can see what I did. Today was just about learning about how I'll do this project. Tools and parts are new, so there's a learning curve. I think I successfully made my first connector tonight.

What does the owners manual say? I'll be honest that I haven't looked because I haven't experienced this problem. I pay for the data service that provides internet service so my kids are quiet on long trips.

Tech package towing mirrors for a Chevy that you can't use. I know somebody that may be interested in them. They have non-tech tow mirrors and want to upgrade.
