  1. The decision makers at GM have had me scratching my head for many years. The have Pontiac minivans and SUVs when they were always a performance car division. I thought they hit a solid in 2009 when they had the Solstice, but then they discontinued the brand. I really wanted a hard top turbo version of that car. They made a competitor to the Charger on the forum of the SS, but limited its production annually, and to a few select years. That would've helped keep the Camaro strong. Trail Boss as a trim instead of a package, and no works phone charger, memory seats, and factory navigation as an option in fully loaded models. There's more. Lots more we could point to, but it's no better than beating a dead horse.
  2. Do I think? Nope. I just do. Gets me into trouble a lot. I could give you an example, but that's off topic. Is there a difference between the 2 charging pads? I dunno. I've never compared the 2. Btw, new harness came in on Saturday. I picked it up Wednesday morning. Has the SD plugs. Trying to find time to do the install, get all the pics people asked for, and post it all up. Can we all just switch to metric time so there are more hours in a day?
  3. I'm going to upgrade to 35s once my OE tires need replacing, but have concerns about rubbing. I going to upgrade my suspension first. I plan on going with King 3.0s, BajaKits Prerunner kit, and Deaver rear springs. Suppose to fit 35s with no trouble, and 37s with no rub unless you jump the truck, etc. At that point, with 37s, they recommend upgrading all fenders to fiberglass widebody fenders on all 4 corners. With 35s there would be no need to upgrade to fiberglass.
  4. Yes, wireless is slower than direct plug in. I have a Samsung S21 Ultra 5G. However, I think it's still sufficient for my needs.
  5. No supercharged truck coming from GM. I'll Venmo you $5 if I'm wrong. We'll find out next week on the 9th.
  6. I got the one from GM Accessories. I have 3 kids that are too young to ride up front, and they love dropping crumbs and toys everywhere. It's worked well so far. Reduced the mess that dropped into the bin under the seat. Very easy to install and remove. Oh, btw, my dog rides shotgun. The seat cover is solely for the kids.
  7. Iirc, for MY2021 if a truck wasn't ordered with the GMPP CAI then it isn't available.
  8. There's at least 4 that I've been able to find, but almost double that in part numbers because GM keeps changing the numbers.
  9. I didn't want heated rear seats, but needed everything else. That's the issue I have. The second number you posted later in the thread is what I went with, but it didn't have usb/SD connectors.
  10. I have a question I've been pondering for awhile, but thought I'd ask it here. With the new engine being DI, where the fuel always into the cylinder after the valve, as opposed to previous designs where the fuel sprayed before the valve, does Top Tier fuel really need to be used? The whole selling point on TV to the vegetal public was that the additives kept the valves clean. It's that even relevant now with direct injection engines?
  11. Yes. Just need to find the time to do it. I'm anticipating needing the bulk of a whole day since I'll be working slow. There lies the problem. I need the time. Also needing to finish up my wireless phone charging project. Still waiting on a wire harness from GM.
  12. Who supplies the Navy Exchange gas stations? Even with my Albertson's/Von's fuel savings at a Chevron out going with the cheaper fuel at Arco/AmPm the Navy Exchange is still cheaper. With a 6.2, $4.11/gallon is an easier pill to swallow versus $4.65-$0.20.
  13. OnStar has NEVER been a concierge service. $70k trucks still don't come with bidets. People need to stop expecting it to clean their rears. Finding out what you're actually paying for before you agree to it is a smart move. Stuff happens. Been there, done that. I lose faith in people whenever they display a lack of basic intelligence via claiming the amount of money they spent on a vehicle should make it perfect, and that they didn't know what they were paying for. I'll take a $70k truck over a $170k any day for 1 reason: The more expensive the vehicle the more problems they'll have and the more expensive they are to keep on the road.
  14. Great! Now everybody knows. I also use it to hide small arms and ammo.
  15. A Trail Boss with 20s is an oxymoron, imo. In fact, if you really want to do some offroading in this truck you need to go to 17s.
  16. Rough Country dual 10 inch lights for the grill arrived. Everything I've seen on this forum about the wire harness is true. It's junk. That's okay because I was intending to wire them up to switch #3 of the upfitter switches. This means the wire harness from Rough Country is useless to me. I bought some wire, deutsch connectors, loom, heat shrink, etc to create a new wire harness to wire directly to the switch. It's going to look like the wiring came directly from Rough Country themselves. Btw, while researching deutsch connectors, because they're new to me, I found the exact same Rough Country wire harness sold separately on Amazon for $20 under a different name.
  17. The AVS covers are great if you change your mind and want to go back to stock at a later date. The other option is to tint them. I think there's a company called nightshade, or something like that, that makes a tint spray for lights.
  18. If it's a 350 he's got bigger problems than he listed since those engines didn't come with some of the tech you mentioned. Or, he's actually driving a Ram 1500.
  19. Iirc, the shutters close at 55 mph, right? So, if the shutters are closed how would the Stillen scoop work? It doesn't sound like it would.
  20. Transporting long guns is why I bought the Du-Ha. Now the tough question is which ones do I put in there? I'm thinking 2 rifles and a shotgun. Just gotta figure which ones. Btw, the case arrived today. I installed it into the truck right after I put my daughter down for her nap.
  21. I'm waiting on what i think is the correct harness to come in. My parts guy agreed that if it's the wrong one he won't sell it to me, but put it in inventory. I won't know until GM let's it ship. I haven't forgot about this thread. I'll update when I can.
  22. Thanks. I hope so. It arrives today. Even though I have a protective seat cover on my rear seat, dropped food is still finding its way into the under seat storage I currently have. Plus, I like that the Du-Ha not only has a locking lid, but I can store a few long guns in there, too.
  23. Unfortunately, it sounds like you'll need to take it to the dealer. I have yet to find a dealer that doesn't do after hours drop off. I use this service often. The real question is, how big of a back log do they have? My wife's Traverse had a leaky trans line. Dealership said they were backed up 3 weeks on trans repairs. And, because they were first come first serve they wouldn't hold a spot in line if she put her name on a list. They wanted the car to sit there for the entire 3 weeks. I took it to an Aamco and was out the door a few days later and only $200 poorer. The leak turned out to be a damaged o-ring. Hopefully your dealer isn't like mine with the long waits.
  24. Key ignition or push button ignition? FYI, everybody with a 2019 Silverado 1500 is an LD. What we need to know are things like trim level because it'll tell us things like the very first question I asked in this post. Please be more specific.
