  1. I've hauled a couple sheets of drywall and plywood on different occasions and it's worked just fine. With the hard tonneau, it really ties it in pretty well.
  2. Thanks for the input, Guys. I ordered one to check it out and will just drop back at Kohl's if it doesn't work out. I won't need it much, more for something quick to set up a couple nights a year when it's just me and too tired/dark/late to set up my tent.. or if storms are predicted....
  3. I hope I'm not just that bad at search, but I want to get a back seat air mattress for some truck/fish camping. I didn't find any results.... Has anyone bought something similar to this???: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08229RFX2/?coliid=IG1T7LOMAT12C&colid=1WDT46BTMVQYG&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Appreciate any input. Thank you!
  4. Been following this for months, and have had the re-seal done so far. Mine's been dry since this work, but am curious.... Maybe a dumb question, but would the solid window be problem free if the spoiler bolts are this big of an issue? Not sure I fully understand how these 3 things inter-play....
  5. It's interesting and frustrating that GM won't approve a solid replacement. I've had the initial repair done, and it's been fine since, but it's ridiculous that every time it rains, I feel compelled to go check it. I'm deciding between waiting for it to happen again, and trying to get them to cover it, or just go do it myself at a local guy's shop It's too bad that this is going on, I really love the truck otherwise. Thank you for the information on pricing and your experiences!
  6. My 5/60 extension is definitely through a 3rd party. Clearly states has to go to dealer where purchased. If more than 40 miles away from purchased dealer, which mine is, need to obtain authorization before taking to another dealer or shop.... And my window has already had attempted repair #1. #2 will be a solid rear window.
  7. Installed my Lomax from Truck alterations last night. Install was easy and straightforward. Rained moderately hard here for a while today. A little leaking toward the front, but it went straight down the drain holes. A little extra weatherstrip would probably solve it. It's really low profile, and so far I'm very pleased. (and Luke was great) I wanted something that was moderately secure, yet could be removed quickly if I wanted full use of my bed. This seems to fit the bill perfectly.
  8. Thanks for the info, Silverado RST!
  9. I too researched this option with Safelite and wanted to confirm this as well. The only thing I am not sure about is the spoiler. The dealer said the bolts that hold the spoiler on are one-time use. they have some type of gasket or sealer on them and can't be re-used. It took a week for them to get these in from GM. I am wondering if a place like Safelite would have those bolts or similar challenges.
  10. Got mine back tonight after 24hrs of adhesive curing and a new window seal. It was allegedly run through multiple water tests and no leaking so we'll see how long it lasts. Truck was definitely soaked when I picked it up. If it recurs, I am pursuing the solid rear window path. On a more positive note my Lomax cover arrived today and I get to install that this weekend.....
  11. My parts came in, and it's back at the dealer. Rained here today after a number of dry days, and it was definitely leaking. I wish I felt more confident this was the end of this one....
  12. I picked mine back up today. New seal and spoiler bolts are on-order. ETA mid-week next week. (high demand, go figure) There was another truck at the dealer with the same issue. If this recurs, or doesn't stop, I am pursuing the solid rear window option.
  13. This is a weird one. I've owned a lot of Jeeps with countless issues through the years. I'm in IT, and not Engineering, so maybe this is easy for me to say but.... I can't believe they haven't figure this one out on vehicles that cost this much. My 1978 Pontiac Phoenix even stayed dry in the rain. All that said, I really do love the vehicle, and hope they can find a resolution.
  14. Mine is getting worse quickly. It was barely raining here today, and it was a pretty steady drip. The towel was surprisingly wet . With over an inch in the forecast, and given it won't fit in the garage, I reluctantly called a dealer today and it's going in tomorrow morning. More to come.
  15. This is the route I am leaning toward as well
  16. I agree regarding having mine tore apart. So, what are your next steps?
  17. I used mine 2 times total. After I discovered the leaking issues, I quit using it hoping to delay what seems like the inevitable I actually really like having it, along with the front windows, open in nice weather but chose to keep it closed so it wouldn't leak....
  18. I've wondered about this correlation as well. However, as someone stated a few posts back, it seems weird the headliner would be wet unless the frame goes up higher than we think. If you do, please let us know what the dealer says. I'm still contemplating whether I want mine ripped apart until there's a more clear cause/resolution....
  19. Mine has not been driven hard at all. It's parked outside. It was a warm summer for PA and VERY dry. I haven't 'flexed' the truck, or really done anything that should have caused anything to break. It's done a couple interstate trips and a few dirt roads to hunting camp. As others have stated, it took a soaking extended rain for it to show up. We've had harder rains, but they were much shorter. Thanks for the feedback from everyone. The solid glass is on my radar. It's also encouraging having a towel back there for quite a while now has been sufficient too. I'm glad yours hasn't started to smell or anything. I had an older Wrangler that leaked a lot and it got to a point where it just smelled musty..... and I sold it....
  20. 1300 miles, and the first steady rain since I got my 20 AT4, and now there's water. Driver's side, right at the end of the slider track. Given what seems like a complete inability to have this resolved at the dealer, combined with insane truck prices right now, I may just dump it and run. Can't believe I am saying that as I really love this truck in so many ways. 60k for something that I have to wonder when the mildew smell will start every time it rains, (or soon with snow melting on it) is not something I'm willing to deal with, though..... Has anyone actually gone the solid window replacement yet? Do we know if it would just leak inside that if it's a spoiler, bolt, or body panel issue? I'd even spend the 400-500 at a Safelite like place to just have it replaced and be done with it.... if i thought that would end it...
  21. Yesterday mine just took it upon itself to switch from XM to BT and connected to my iPhone..... Flipped back to XM and it was fine the rest of the day.
  22. I'm with you. Between Pandora, CarPlay, Spotify, etc. I probably won't renew when my sub expires. The did offer 3 additional months after my new vehicle 3 month trial for $5.... which I did take.... but doubtful I will renew again.....
  23. Had this exact issue this past weekend. First time. 2 restarts later it worked fine, and has been fine since. Mine started when I got gas under a big overhang. The first restart was wide open, and the issue continued. The second restart was a few miles down the road, and it reconnected fine.
  24. Hi, all Newer AT4 owner here, and I read the past so-many pages of this thread, but 153 pages a long read. So, please forgive the perhaps stupid question.... Is it possible to just replace this window with a solid non-sliding window that doesn't seem to have issues? I don't have a leak yet, but I only have 1000 miles on my truck to-date. I'm with everyone else - it won't fit in my garage and I will not sit and worry every time it rains if mine develops the issue. Thx
