I am the second owner of my 2016 6.2 Yukon. After a few weeks of 8 speed shutter driving and a blown fuel injector seal on cylinder 8 already. I decided to look into a VSC and with the advice of my GM service rep and went with Endurance. the vehicle has 87k miles and they will give me 5 year 100,000 elite coverage for 4000.00

I am getting a P219B. I just finished with the CRC and still no good. Under the hood it sounds like a air leak. No other codes but idle is rough. I did see a good amount of smoke after the 30 minute wait period so I know I didnt waste 30 bucks on nothing. I guess its off to the mechanic cause it seems to be getting louder.

Of course I will take it more seriously than this fellow. Yes I am really going to do it. And I want to paint the "GMC" in red. Maybe some model paint for that?

I didnt want to turn this into a top cleaning thread. Im the only one who gets nervous using products with hose adapters and such that with my luck will get sucked into the engine? I love the vinyl tube method for this reason. If I can find the chemicals you stated in a liquid form I would feel much better about switching from seafoam. Thanks again for your advice..

I have never used plasti dip But after using flex seal on my rain gutter and am very temped to spray the black version on my 22" stock rims.

Yes I agree. I bought it used last month. The service records showed top cleaning at 60 something thousand. I tried the spray can seafoam but the hose kept getting crushed and not much went in. I just put on a CAI and I will use a vinyl tube and a funnel and pour liquid seafoam into the throttle body . I did wipe the butterfly when putting the CAI on and it was clean. So I think plugs need to be done asap.

Has anyone tried the NGK 90220 {#LTR5AHX} Ruthenium HX ? Im at 86,000 and have some minor shaking during idle so I am gonna do my plugs and wires. I am considering paying the extra cash for these. I remember how well my old truck did when I installed the iridium plugs. Hoping these will benefit my 6.2L with the Ruthenium. Also anyone go with aftermarket wires?

I only drive in Tow/HaulAss mode. So this is not in use then correct?

Are you using the Mobile 1 ATF fluid as per the TSB?

As the previous poster mentioned, you can have a brand spankin new ride feeling with shocksims and the struts and shocks of your choice. It will be also be 2000.00 less than replacing with GM parts at the dealer. And the front struts are rated "easy" for the home mechanic to do, that will save you even more $$$

Mine shuttered at 86000 at low speeds. Paid a dealer to do a flush and filter change with the mobile 1 ATF . They nailed me 600.00 cause it was out of warranty but the shuttering is gone for now. I hope mine is the 200k miles one

I have the dreaded 8 speed, it does jerk from first into second but after that its good. I am currently reading up a getting a trans tune to lower temps.

Ive seen the resistors for 400.00 and they seem plug and play. I would do that myself first then go get shocks/struts

I cant say if a CAI has ever increased my horsepower but I can tell you that it sure made getting liquid seafoam into the throttle body via a vinyl tube a heck of a lot easier. So I make sure they are on all my GM vehicles.

So I have been a 6.2L 2016 engine for 4 days. I want to do a seafoam treatment cause I am sure the precious owner never did. I am a believer in catch cans but the engine already has 86000 miles on it so whats the point. I have used seafoam for over 15 years on my Vortec 2800 engine. Still has the original Cat and is at 168,000 miles. So the reason for this rambling is, I have never used the spray can seafoam, I have always used the liquid with a vinyl tube into my CAI all the way up to the throttle body. I would like to also use the liquid on the 6.2. It does not have a CAI so does anyone think I can shove a vinyl tube into one of the resonator openings and pour in from there. Watching the official seamfoam videos on youtube, I am not comfortable with shutting the truck off. I just make sure the engine is really warm and just pour in the liquid until no more smoke blows out. Like I said it has worked that way for 15 years on my older GMC and runs and idles still like a champ. Go Seafoam !!

Do you use a tuner? Can a tuner void a warranty?

forgive my ignorance but do you need a programmer/tuner for a cat delete? I have a stock 2016 6.2. I am getting a muffler delete done. That would be next EDITED After reading this entire thread again I now see that the 3rd cat is not monitored.

This is a best thread ever !! I am paying 565.00 for a trans flush new mobile 1 ATF and filter change at the local GMC stealership. 4 days ago my wife brought home a 2016 Yuke XL with 86,000 and no warranty. She said it was a one owner vehicle with regular oil changes and not in a wreck. She wanted to surprise me. Well she sure did, the thing shuttered on me between 2nd and 3rd. That's when I learned about all the torque converter problems. Needless to say I haven't had a good night sleep since she brought it home lol. I am picking up the Yuke today I know I have to drive several hundred miles first ( so they say). Because of this thread I am going to be changing the ATF myself every 25,000 miles.
