MX4 here. easy install, easy to remove if needed. It also has the prop rods to keep it open when against the cab. I also wanted a cover that when fully open would not block the third brake light or rear-view camera.

Have someone run the build options, on mine it was listed as part of the infotainment 3 package.

JR, the intent is to cover the chrome in-between the step treads and leave the chrome on the edges, people getting in and out can't seam to step on the pads and its leaving scratches on the chrome. gemarch, LOL the ground just looks like carpet. Its blacktop with a door mat under the carport out side the garage.

I know the front and rear have 10mm bolts but not sure how the center pads are done. Just don't want to bust something. I want to put some carbon fiber wrap on chrome between them.

Getting 18 to 22 mixed driving, I did hit 24 on a 300 mile highway run. About 13 towing a 6500lb load. Very happy wit it.

2021 6.2 10 speed 3:23 gears. Short pull 115 miles half highway 6500lb total car trailer with 2007 silverado about 13mpg.

So I guess no way to tell if you get an old stock or new stock filter.....LOL

If your not one to have it removed, Turn it so its open and put a clamp around it. Do a search lots of posts on it.

Maybe its the way the truck is configured? I just don't see it. In any event 100 lbs. is nothing. Can not say for sure, but they both use the same block but have different internal specs. The GVW difference may come from the 10 speed transmission vs 8 speed transmission. Not like the old day of small block and big block. Link

2021 has V153 no issues

Don't know if this right or wrong or what leaving the card unlocked does. I only had the truck a few days when I had the SD card error message. Ejected the card un-locked it reinstalled never had another issue.

Have 2021 Silverado Z71 6.2 10 speed 3:23 gears, Just pulled my trailer 1500lb steel trailer with a 2007 5000lb. 1500 over 200 miles and avg. was 13-14mpg mix highway and back roads. Truck alone I average 20mpg

Put weathertech in my first 2021 got totaled @1500 miles red light runner hit it head-on. 2nd 2021 came with factory GM like them much better. The weathertech were thinner and had sharp edges. here ya go Darkshadow

I just installed the MX4, fit was good but I than spent many hours adjusting and trimming the bed seals at the rail ends as most all the corners the seals overlapped each other mostly with the ends of the rail seals under the corner seals. This was leaving a small gap. Few other things I noticed and addressed, The tailgate panel lip had raw aluminum showing were it was cut used a black sharpie on the cuts. be sure to clean out the holes for the clips at the front they will have aluminum shavings in them than wipe off or the shavings will get in the seals.
