  1. Fwiw, this is what I did that worked out great for my 2023. The Black Roof Console Connector X2 has the Ground (Blk/Wh) at Pin 5 and Switched Power (Purple) at Pin 8, as mentioned earlier in this thread. This is the connector closest to the driver when you drop the overhead console (the other connector you don't use is gray). I got the connector with the pigtails that fit the mirror PN# 13540313. The link is a page or two earlier in this thread too. After confirming the wiring and tested, I simply unwrapped the cloth tape a few inches, and ran a razor blade around the Blk/Wh wire in two places approx 1/4" apart, and tightly wrapped the Black wire from the pigtail then soldered. Same for the Purple wire and wrapped the Red from the pigtail, and soldered too. Wrapped both leads tightly with electrical tape, and secured with some small nylon zip ties. I don't believe there is a Reverse wire available up there on the Refresh, so I didn't use the green lead from the pigtail. Entire project took about 30 minutes. The hardest part is getting those two T15 console screws back home. Thanks to all of the earlier contributors for making this an easy mod!
  2. I am talking about these mini flat spades that fit right into the molex connector that folks use to power radar detectors from the mirror connectors. With these if I can find them, I can get the pigtail, and use these spades to Roof Console connector right there.
  3. Thanks!! One more question for the experts. Seeing we are going to need to tap into the wires up there, does anyone know what those little spades are that they use for the Radar detector leads. Little flat ends that you can push into the connector. Been searching around Amazon, and all I'm seeing is much too big. It think i'd much rather go that route than to tap the wires themselves.
  4. Can anyone confirm one way or the other if the 2023 1500's have the harness with connector up behind the headliner or not? Just bought the mirror # 13540313 and I'm trying to figure out if I need to get that pigtail or not. Thanks!!
  5. The seat belt is a PITA if you are working offroad with a trailer or something. Certainly, always wear it on the roadways.
  6. Exactly, if the camera is obstructed by snow or condensation and cannot 'see' it will disable.
  7. 2023 RST - Around once a week I'd say. Minor annoyance compared to the Google Speech Services message every freaking time I start the truck.
  8. I manually opened a foldered USB that had the following directory: Artist > Album > Song Then I created one Artist named Playlists > Playlist Name > Song Then on the PC, I just copied the songs from the original directories to the Playlist folder.
  9. Burn your own music to FLAC if you want CD quality audio, which is many times better than any streamer or MP3. The problem of course becomes you cannot scroll very far before it gets locked until you stop. Retarded. It should simply have a few second pause.
  10. Small Claims does not take long at all. It will however be interesting how GM responds. The issue is, they do not provide a specific listing of components and materials, so it's going to be tough to suggest they misrepresented anything. They are selling a complete system that performs in a manner that is entirely subjective. They could very well turn it around on this self-proclaimed audio expert and suggest he should have known that Bose is well known as not audiophile quality and he knowingly purchased it any way. This will be interesting.
  11. I'm not going to age myself, but I recall thinking I was a big cheese when I mounted a 8 track player in my Z28.
  12. x2 - That's the one I have and it's the best out there, imho.
  13. Pretty easy fix. Get brighter aftermarket reverse LED's. Makes a big improvement.
  14. I cannot speak for Alexa, but Google Assist will not work with Onstar. I've followed all of the instructions I've found, and nothing works. GA works fine in the truck to help control apps, etc, but within the house, it will not control the truck in any manner to Start/Unlock/Lock, etc.
  15. I don't feel your comments are fair. They did come to my assistance with an issue, and was able to make a positive difference. Perhaps they cannot in every case depending on the circumstances, but any help is good help, Imho.
  16. Don't be too sure about that. While every 'offer' needs to be fully vetted, I have gotten some pretty ridiculous deals on a number of vehicles over the years. I would have never typically bought a vehicle for only $5K off, but got myself into a jam.
  17. Damn, I bought in April and thought I did pretty good with $5K off.
  18. I'm glad it's working well for you. I have the LZO and Max Tow, so increasing the capacity is the least of my worries, more just leveling it out. As well all know, these things tend to squat a ridiculous amount even with 1/3 of the weight capacity. I use a WD hitch with my toy hauler which reduces the amount of pressure required, but WD isn't possible for some of the other non-equipped trailers I need to deal with from time to time. The flexibility is rather important for the immediate infinite adjustability.
  19. I've been running the Airlift bags in every SUV I've owned for the last 25 years and never noticed any marked change in ride when unloaded and aired down. Maybe a tiny bit but nothing you'd noticed after the first 5 minutes. I've always used their onboard air pumps with the automatic pressure controller, so that might have helped to maintain a consistent minimum. And if you get the bags with the internal Internal jounce bumper, you don't have to run any minimum pressure. I've seen the RA system and cannot fathom how that would not effect the unloaded ride too, but I'll defer to you on that. It certainly doesn't have the immediate infinite adjustability capability on the fly as you do with an onboard compressor, but if you trailer the same weight consistently, and get it dialed in, it should work well as a solid option. I tend to tow many different things, at different weights, so adjustability is important to me. Thanks for sharing.
  20. I just don't get why these things have to be so big. My other fobs are at least 1/3 smaller and do the same thing with the same range.
  21. It's funny as I got stuck yesterday at a light with two garbage trucks side by side. Naturally, these two knuckleheads started racing at the green light and everyone behind, including me, got irritated being stuck behind these two tortoises goofing around. It was weird because as I was waiting patiently for one of them to win or make a turn so I could finally get moving, suddenly out of nowhere, I thought about this thread and cracked a quick smile.
