Does it not plug right into the power at the mirror?

I got a 24 SLT with the 5.3 and I'm very happy with it so far, then again, I came from a V6 Toyota Tacoma, so the 5.3 feels really good to me. I didn't feel that I needed the 6.2 and to get it here locally, I would have had to go up to Denali or AT4. I've also had two friends that had 6.2's and both of them had lifter issues. One was a Denali and the other was an AT4

Has anyone with a '24 5.3L with DFM had any issues that were directly related to DFM? I got mine in late July of 24, just about to hit 7K miles. I can't compare to any other models as this is my first GMC...but I feel it drives pretty smooth especially on the highways at higher speeds and I don't really notice anything when driving at lower speeds in the city. Unfortunately, I didn't know anything about AFM/DFM when I went in to buy my truck...I just knew I didn't want the 6.3L and the 3.0 doesn't fit my driving style. Mainly in city driving.

I went ahead and ordered the one from Fitcam...found a discount code on a youtube video that knocked off quite a bit, so got the front and rear setup for $201 shipped. Now just gotta wait on the slow boat from China.

Thanks for the input. I went ahead and ordered the FitCamX version. While I fortunately have not been subjected to any road rage incidents, I live in a state where I personally thing we have some of the worst drivers out there. And i've had a few close calls. So I'd like to document them.

Anybody install a dashcam from Mangoal or FitcamX? So, for the Fitcam, on their website, it states that it works for 20-24 Sierra 1500, 2500 and 3500 AT4 and Denalis...I have reached out to them and have not gotten an answer back.....I want to know if it will work on an SLT. I do have the forward cam for the adaptive cruise control....but do not have the rearview cam...i do have auto dimming. Anybody install one of these on an SLT? Mangoal actually states for Pro, SLE, SLT and up...so I am curious if there is a difference. I love my 24 SLT, it has everything that I wanted coming from a 2014 Tacoma. My dream truck was a Denali...then maybe the AT4, but I honestly don't like the rims on them, a good buddy of mine had 2 of them and we both hated the wheels...lol I test drove an SLT....and ended up getting an SLT with the premium plus and X31 package. I did not want a sunroof, and towing is not a priority for me, so I'm happy with the 5.3. The other factor was I did not want a black truck or black interior, and my local dealerships were full of white, silver and black Denali's....I wanted either the Downpour Metallic or Volcanic Red with the dark walnut/slate interior. The morning I was going to test drive and possibly buy, the dealership I was intending to go to had a Downpour Metallic SLT...it sold before I got there...purchased online. So I went to a different dealership and they had just offloaded a Volcanic Red SLT with premium plus/X31 package....walnut/slate interior...had 33 miles on it by the time I got back from the test drive. It was meant to be. No regrets

I think it looks good blacked out like that....you are spot on when you say it is too much chrome. Just that lil bit sets it apart just enough. I was quoted $299 locally to have that piece vinyl wrapped to match...I've got a Volcano Red SLT....I want that piece to match...I need to see what hyperdip has.

I've been contemplating on getting a deflector for my new SLT...can I see some pics of them installed on your refreshed GMC 1500?

Are there any downloadable weather apps that will work on the infotainment system? Using Android on a 2024. A coworker has a 2019 Sierra and his came with one....I was told that the refresh models didn't come with them preinstalled anymore.

I just put one on mine but have been looking for one for my wife's 24 Subaru Ascent....the anti-glare version, this is the one. Thanks.

I'm new to the GM world and these new trucks, just got a Sierra 1500...is it safe to switch modes while in motion...like, while on the gas?

I just bought my first GM truck....a 24 1500 SLT with the 5.3. Are there any issues I need to be prepared for with this year's model? I've read about some of the issues with the previous year's models...hoping they got worked out by now.

Just brought her home yesterday...my first GMC truck...been a Toyota owner for 2 generations of Tacomas. Can't stop looking at it
