  1. You can save a few bucks and run an AC Delco filter or if you got a Car Quest or NAPA near you their house brand filters will work well also. The Mobil 1 filter is overkill at 7,500 miles. Odd that the owners manual doesn't state even a time frame.
  2. The engines in the 14 and up GM trucks is a completely new beast. For starters is has a variable displacement oil pump. All the R&D has been done and 0w-20 is what is required. If the engine wasn't changed from previous models and they wanted to switch to 0w-20 then it would be more on the lines of CAFE' reasons. No problems asking question here. That is what the forum is for.
  3. I have yet to see an owners manual that didn't state the frequency of the vehicles oil change. It should be in yours. I know my 02 states to follow the OLM and if it doesn't indicate to change the oil in one year time frame then the oil should be changed. So double check your owners manual. If you want to go extended oil change then accomplishing an oil analysis is the way to go with what ever brand of oil you choose to run. That will tell you just how long you can go with specific brand of oil.
  4. Hauled 1200 1/2 bushel boxes today out to a farm to pack yellow squash in.
  5. Wife wanted to get more roses for her flower bed, so we drove over to Lowe's and picked up a bunch along with some lawn insect killer. Trying to get rid of these darn grubs that have infested our yard and brought the moles with them.
  6. Good start here. It is amazing how just a weak ground wire can cause all kinds of issues. Make sure all grounds are good and tight and corrosion free.
  7. This is my yearly oil change. 2002 Silverado AMSOIL AZO 0w-30 Ea064 filter 11,403 miles 11% OLM, but this was it's second time, I reset it once already. 154,901 total miles on truck
  8. Took it out to get a few supplies to hang some grab bars in our daughters bathroom. Of course while I was out it rained and so it is no longer nice and clean.
  9. Gave it a bath yesterday to take my daughter to the Prom. Sucks that it was such a dry windy day that I got water spots on it before I was able to get it dried off.
  10. Hauled two loads of mulch. I didn't get any pictures, remembered as I was sweeping out the bed that I forgot to snap one. Got 12 trees and a large flower bed done. Let the weeds begin.
  11. Your are a brave man taking the dash apart.
  12. Took the Camaro out and got it inspected. Now I can renew my tags. Felt good to get it out. Kind of like it when it is cold out. Rear end brakes loose so much easier.
  13. Put 180 miles of hard, fast interstate driving on it today. Went to pick my mom up at the airport.
  14. Vacuumed it out. Amazing how much dirt and sand can get inside a vehicle.
  15. Spent the day going over the Camaro with a clay bar and then gave it a good wax with Adam's Americana Carnuba wax. That stuff is amazing. It has been a long day.
  16. I know of a few that live up north have used AMSOIL's HD Metal Protector on the underside of their vehicles with good results.
  17. Had to pick up two pallets of 24 count carton Cukes from one of our farms and deliver it to a customer. I couldn't hall both at the same time since they are around 2,200lbs a pallet. So I had to make two trips. Looks like I still had some room to play with, about an inch or so from the bump stop.
  18. Gave it a much needed bath!
  19. Took it out and stretched it's legs today. Nice and sunny with temp at 66 degrees. Perfect to open up the sunroof.
  20. I don't know what the weight is of each bundle of boxes. The truck sure did ride nice.
  21. Hauled 1,200 half bushel boxes to our one farm so that they could pack yellow squash.
  22. Drove it in the mud at work. Been raining here for the past two days. What a mess!
