  1. "They build what sells." OR They build what dealers order and maximizes profits.....and people buy what are on the lots. I have run into a "lot" of people that had no idea you could still buy a regular cab because there are none on the lots for people to see that aren't long bed work trucks. But anyway.....not to get off topic. I just hope they still make them in the new model.
  2. I sure hope there is a place for a regular cab short bed in their plans. I love my '22 and '16. I hope they continue to make them available in the states. Here in the last year or so I have seen more and more people talking about them and buying them again....good sign!
  3. It will be interesting to see if they go back to the square wheel wells again. I have gotten more used to it than I was at first, but I would be all for going squared off again.
  4. It does look a lot like an Equinox in that color doesn't it....lol
  5. It's not what I was excepting, but I think it will look good on the Silverado. Lakeshore Blue Metallic
  6. I decided to try the 3 inch Race Ramps and use a step stool to refill it. I think that will do that trick and just leave it on the ramps the whole time.
  7. I don't think you were the only one to be confused by the way I worded it......those words are very similar. I think a step stool for adding the oil is a great idea! The oil filler tube on these trucks is way back from the front of the truck when they are on ramps.
  8. I hardly think at 5' 11" 145 pounds that's my problem...lol I just like a little room to move under there, I have used ramps for oil changes since I was 16 years old.
  9. I can get the oil filter off easy enough, but the oil plug is almost in the center of the truck and I don't have enough clearance to reach it without raising the truck some.
  10. That's me! This is the first time I have ever had a 4X4 and it wasn't a Z71. Reckon I don't have to worry about neutral...lol Thanks!!
  11. You might have a good point about the ramps! I use the Race Ramps 10 inch version....maybe I could get by with less. https://www.raceramps.com/ramps/race/p/rr-xt-2/
  12. I can't get to the oil plug without the ramps or I wouldn't use them at all....would be a lot simpler without them. The oil cap is really far back on the new truck, it is a long reach even without it being on ramps.
  13. I have not tried this, but this is the video I watched that shows them putting it in accessory mode and changing it.
  14. Terrific, best news I could hear! Thanks!
  15. I have a 2022 4WD Silverado that I am fixing to do the first oil change on and I need to know if I have to put the transfer case into neutral to roll it off the ramps? The truck is too tall to reach the oil filler until I back it off the ramps...on my 2WD 2016 I just turn the ignition to accessory then put the shifter in neutral and roll off.....can I do that in the 4WD or will I need to put the transfer case in neutral as well? Thanks!
  16. Just a guess, does it have to do with the GMC having Onstar for 3 years? The Chevrolet doesn't have that kind of increase for their features. $475 for these Wireless Apple CarPlay/Wireless Android Auto capability for compatible phones OnStar® & Chevrolet Connected Services capable
  17. Do you know what this option is, for that price I would have thought it was linked to the new radio too.
  18. That is a good looking truck! I believe that style is coming back around again, I'm starting to see more trucks like this. Those wheels just make it!
  19. I have looked at every spot in the manual and all it says (where it should say the type) is contact the dealer....even searched the manual as a PDF and didn't see it listed. I have read where some people say the hotter LED's can melt the plastic lens on the headlights too, not sure if that is true or not....but I saw it a few places. I actually like that it's not LED, since they are so expensive to replace if it does burn out.....I will look at those Philips! Thanks for the compliment too, so glad the regular cab short bed is back again....the blue was the icing on the cake
  20. Does anyone know what headlight bulbs the new Silverado's take....the Custom front end with halogen lights. I'd like to get some halogens that are a little more white colored than the stock yellow and I am having no luck finding out the bulb numbers.....I looked in the manual over and over well as online and found nothing. Thanks for any help! On a side note, I did finally get my chrome letters put on the grill!
  21. Thanks! I had some All Terrain T/A's on my 2002 Avalanche before air pressure sensors were on all the cars, I noticed at a gas station the tire looked a little low.....got back on the interstate looking for a place to look at it. By the time we got to the place it had zero pressure and I had no idea, the truck drove the exact same as it did with 50lbs in it.....I was amazed....it still held up the truck and looked a little low....not flat! Those tires were amazing, they were 17's too....and it was a crack on a weld on the wheel nothing with the tire at all.
  22. I love these tires myself....the sidewall reminds me of the older BFG All Terrain T/A's that I liked before they got more aggressive with the tread. I bought them when my '16 needed more tires this spring and liked them so much I bought them for my new one too!
  23. I did the exact same thing last month, they have a really professional looking kit! If people didn't know you had added them, they would have no idea. Makes it a little tougher to get inside, but the driving position is so much better!
  24. I tell you what, when I clean the windshield or wash the roof I think lowering it some wouldn't be a bad thing....lol If they keep making these trucks taller they need to sell an accessory step ladder
  25. Glad to hear it, you have been very patient with them.
