Is the map layout on the far right supposed to dim or go to a night setting at night? The last few days mine is full on bright as hell at night. I have gone into settings and made sure its checked to "Auto". I even tried changing it to night mode, no difference. It's bright as hell at night and keeps me away while i'm driving. Any other settings i can check? I wound up changing to the clock display the other night.

This is my first go-round with Griots paste Carnuba wax. It went on very easy, and came off just as smooth. I have also used Coollinite 915 paste wax before, have a great shine and lasted quite awhile.

I thought the same thing. I just got the truck in June, i always hand wash, never take either of my vehicles through a drive thru car wash. I have washed it since i bought and never noticed any weird blemishes on the chrome grille before. Might try the clay bar and see if its a one-off thing.

What do you guys use on plastic chrome? I have a 2024 Sierra, and i was laying on some Griots Carnuba paste wax yesterday. Some got on the plastic chrome piece on the grille. I figured, no biggie, wipe it off. It left a weird splotchy finish only where the past was. Everything was clean and cool to the touch.

Is the AFE a dry filter, or does it require oiling? I had a K&N years ago on another truck, and it got old keeping it clean and oiled..

Has anyone replaced the factory intake setup with an Airraid Junior kit? It's just the middle intake tube, re-uses the factory intake box. I had one on my 2012, with a dry drop in filter. Made more... noise. Maybe a little quicker throttle response. I searched here, but didn't find anything. My 2024 Sierra has the 6.2. I wouldn't be expecting more than a 15-18 hp gain... J/K...

I thought all 6.2's were assembled in the Tonawanda plant, outside Buffalo.

So, i got a brand new 2024 GMC Sierra a few weeks ago. Love the truck. I've been reading the manual and playing with the fun options. One thing has me stumped. When i am listening to Spotify, is there a way to scroll to the next song from the steering wheel? The only way i have found is on the radio display to go one by one, forward or back.

Anyone keep their factory exhaust and just replace the HDMI tips? My Sierra came with the active exhaust, it's exactly what i want, when i want it, but i want to replace the tips with dual round tips. I can probably take it to a local muffler shop. I know the tail pipe is not actually connected to the tip. Probably looking to go black tips. Anyone wanna post yours and where you got them?

Shipped 380 miles, $960 bucks to bring mine down and take my truck as trade-in. Worth it to me...

Soon as i receive it, and after i spend the night in it, lol.. i'll post pics. This is only the second brand new vehicle i have ever bought, all my other vehicles have been used. My 1997 Firebird V6 was brand new.

Thanks! All paperwork completed, latest delivery time is next Tuesday, possibly earlier (fingers crossed). I will say, it's been a very easy buying process from a dealer 2 states away. They have been very responsive and the next steps explained up front. Now, after driving the same truck for 10 years, looking forward to something new.

Downpour Metallic. They had one in Volcanic Red too, but it had the the light walnut interior. With a dog and a kid, i voted to go with the dark interior.

So, back in December i ordered a 2024 RST, Glacier Blue, Max Tow package, 6.2, yada yada...the order never budged from the original status. The dealer was told that the 6.2 was on constraint.. After 5 months, i started looking on my own. Found a 2024 Sierra SLT, Max tow, sunroof, everything else i wanted, plus heated rear seats and ventilated front seats (not an option on RST), for 4 grand less than the RST. Finished the paper work last night. Purchased from Laura BUICK GMC in Illinois. Very smooth process. Hopefully i'll have it delivered next week. Letting go of my 2012 Silverado Crew cab Z71, 5.3 AT 245,000 miles. I am the second owner, bought it early 2014. It's been a hell of a truck. Biggest issue was the transmission let go at 215,000 miles after towing a 5,800 lb travel trailer for 5 years. Can't ask for much more than she gave. The truck never left me stranded. Fingers crossed i get comparable out of the GMC.

Nope, my buddy who is a tech at the dealer i go to. He had a brand new Suburban in the bay next to him with under 1,000 miles with a 6.2, the number two rod was burned up. He said they see a handful a month, mostly low miles, under 5,000 miles with the same problem.

I can't find one with max tow package. I do searches about once a week still, maybe 4 or 5 pop up in 300 miles, and they are white, or not half the other options i want.

So, i ordered a 2024 RST December 29th, 2023. Ordered it with the 6.2, max tow package, Glacier Blue, all stuff i wanted. Checked in with my dealer this week, no progress since it was submitted. he told me the 6.2 is on constraint. What does that exactly mean? Limited number of 6.2's being pushed out, no one gets a 6.2... I mean, they are still pushing Escalades out the door, assuming they all aren't getting the diesel motor. I know of the problems with the 6.2 and rod bearings. I would hope they would have fixed that by now.

Ok, i was able to stick my head under there the other night. Sure enough, found a couple of pieces of plastic i am assuming go somewhere else. If i get a weekend when its not raining or going out of town i might try and pull the seat out. Thanks!

So, the last few months i have noticed a squeak coming from the rear seat. Happens no matter if someone is riding back there or not. I have narrowed it down to the seat back. It is slightly loose, i can move it a couple of inches. I don't see a way to release it completely so i can see what the hell is going on though. Anyone had this happen? Truck has 241,000 miles, i get that stuff breaks. Just look at the 12 cracks in my front dash..

I ordered a 2024 Silverado RST, 6.2, Glacier Blue, Max tow package, black leather interior, sunroof, etc on December 30, 2024. First of February i get a call from my salesman, says GM has denied the order based on color. Glacier Blue not offered. Ok, i change to Radiant Red Tintcoat, that was my favorite until Glacier Blue came out. I called last night just to get a status update, says the order is still sitting in preliminary. So, i guess i'll wait longer. My dad ordered his C10 in 1964, took him 6 weeks to get his. Mine, i guess a little longer.

My 2024 RST will have it... whenever GM decides to build it for me.

That was a big reason in my ordering from them. I have a buddy that is a tech there, i always take my truck to him. Does a great job, and has helped me out a ton. When i started looking a trucks a year ago, the salesman i ordered from was the ONLY one that i talked to that followed up with me. And kept following up every couple of months, not pushy just hey, wanted to touch base, see if you were still in the market type of thing. A few months ago, he was in the hospital for some pretty major medical issues. He just came back 3 weeks ago, so i set an appointment with him and did all the ordering. Super nice guy, not pushy, not overbearing.
