  1. Not much likely. Work from home today and it'd cold out so I'll be a wuss and stay home and make lunch here. Drove back from the airport yesterday, had some good BBQ in Ann Arbor then back home to dump the work stuff and grab the HK to take it to the range and try out the new trigger. Shoots nice! And my order of .45 ammo will be here Monday which is nice cause I'm about out. UPS guy must hate me, this is the third box of mail order ammo in a few months and the .45 is by far the heaviest- 42 pounds (1000 rounds).
  2. Took the truck to a touch free wash to blast the filth off it from the past few days driving. But the wash broke or something and all it did was spray the front for like 5 mins with soap. Pulled out and went to the pay and spray booth to powerwash it. That stinks when its cold out.
  3. Wanna do my truck? It's filthy from the 2000 miles I've done in the past mine days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Dinner with some friends before I start the ride home tomorrow. Just starting to snow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That is a cool pic Sarah. No snow in NH. Or Jackson for that matter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Several years back I noticed youth size shirts at a hooters. I got one for my friends little boy when he was like 4. They asked if I had a photo or him, which I did from some time in the past and they all wrote how cute he was and wrote "their" (store) phone number on the shirt. His dad loved it. Mom, not so much. Haven't been to one in ages- I can order take out and find better looking girls online.
  7. Glad I got mine in August before things got out of hand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I expect PMags to return to near-normal prices in the next few days. Magpul called the vendors out on their FB page the other day.
  9. Swapping calibers should be as easy as swapping the upper. I have no experience with piston systems but start buying now! Everyone is out of everything and Obama is pursuing a ban.
  10. Left Jackson last night around 6:00, drove through the night and got to NH about 30 mins ago. Poor truck is filthy now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. No, you said you were coming to my "area" or something similar. Jackson is like 80+ miles away from Detroit- it'd be like calling Toledo my "area". Did your parents never let you see a map growing up
  12. That looks good! You need a better pic of it with the whole car though (that is, if the Camaro is allowed outside since it's December )
  13. You live a world away from Detroit Sarah. Hell, even I would not be worried about a Detroit-based crime where I am.
  14. Well I leave Tuesday evening to go to NH for some work meetings before Christmas. Monday I'll be working from home and with any luck Tuesday morning(ish- I ain't getting up early on a day off! ) I'll be at the range in Mason breaking in my newest toy.
  15. This week will be a very low mileage week Monday I drove from Jackson to Detroit Airport and maybe tomorrow I drive back home after flying back from Texas. Most weeks I put a few hundred miles on the truck at least, sometimes far more. Depends on where work sends me.

  17. I didn't even bother making an excuse. I kept my hands on the wheel, looked him in the eye and answered all his questions. Back in NH my brother is on the fire dept and has been since I was 10 so I'm friendly with almost all of them so I think it helps that I don't turn into a bumbling fool when approached by an officer. As for the gal in my last story, she absolutely had the assets to impress, all I'll say on that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. So I got to talk to a police officer in Texas today. Boy do they do it different! Headed back to the hotel from the customer site and I crest a hill and see two officers running a speed trap on the left side of the road (median), I look down and I'm doing 80 (damn 300 is so much smoother than the truck!). I knew I was busted so I slowed down. The officer walks out into the lane, pointed at me than pointed at the shoulder of the road. Said he got me at 78 in a 60. Went back, ran my license and came back and said just to watch my speed in the future and to have a nice night. Got lucky on that one but it's also been more than 4 years since I've been stopped so my record is clean anyhow. Still not as good as a girl who was a friend of a friend I knew- we were headed back from my friends place and she was ahead of me absolutely flying. She went around a bend and got lit up. I pulled off ahead to get gas and she pulled in after. Said she was clocked at 75 in a 40, let go with a warning! I should add that when I first saw her that night my first question was if she had borrowed a shirt from her son to wear (he was six back then) so that probably helped her case!
  19. No, this gun ate everything I fed it. I used to shoot much more often, I'm just trying to get back to where I used to be or close to it. Like I said, the longer reset was what messed me up the most.
  20. This is what I wrote on another site- I was able to pick up this pistol from the dealer this morning. Came back home and cleaned/lubed it and made some lunch with the intention of shooting it tomorrow as I had chores to do today. Well I got antsy and brought it to the range this afternoon. My apartment can wait another day to be cleaned! First off, I did previously own a P220R Carry SAO that I bought in 2009 and sold a year later. It had some feeding issues that eventually seemed to be fixed by Sig but I did not keep it. Compared to that pistol, this one now has the external extractor compared to the internal one on my last Carry (if memory serves there was some speculation that the internal extractor was causing some of the feed issues on those pistols back then). Also, the grips are much smoother- my last one had fairly aggressively textured grips that I really liked, these are smooth and don't work as well as I'd like. I may see if the old style is available and compatible with this one. Anyhow, on to the range. I shot about 200 rounds today, most of which was the Remington UMC I bought for the last Carry and it never seemed to feed well. Also ran through maybe 20-30 rounds of WWB and one mag worth of some Cor Bon +P JHPs I found in a "loose round" box in the back of the safe. The gun shoots great overall. The trigger reset seems a bit long but I have been shooting my Glock heavily the past few months so I am probably just used to that. When I did not allow the trigger to reset and I tried to fire I realized I still have a flinch I need to get rid of but overall I did okay.
  21. The pistol came from budsgunshop.com. It then has to be shipped to someone in Michigan that has an FFL and can do the transfer. My AR I bought from a local shop in Mason. Everything else I purchased when I lived in NH.
  22. Here's the pistol I got today: Sig P220 carry. Single action only like a 1911 and it has the SAS (Sig Anti Snag) treatment- basically the frame has no light rail and the slide is smoothened.
  23. I'll put gun pics up in a bit bit here's what I managed to pull off with a new pistol and a new trigger compared to my G32. From 21'. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Picked up a new gun. Pics after lunch and after I get it all pretty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
