  1. Those points are only good if you buy something and you are limited in how much you can use per purchase.
  2. With synthetic oil, you get what you pay for.
  3. They charge what the charge because they can. Friend works at a local shipping shop and she used to work part time because the business was slow. In the last 1-2 yrs she is working full time as business has gone wild. UPS/Fedex and even postal rates have gone way up. THE USPS is claiming loses and going to raise rates again soon. Increased business means increased costs such as wages, overtime, equipment, fuel etc. Its not like many other business where volume means you get discounts, with logistics, more volume = more cost of doing business. It used to be her and the owner could handle it. Now they have about dozen part time. Even UPS has expanded and doubled the drivers in this small market. The shipping business has gone wild in the last 2 yrs. Not to mention, UPS, Fedex lose money on residential deliveries so they raise the price. For instance my Fedex driver often comments to me that he has to drive 50 miles round trip to deliver one small package in the rural area, while the mailman drives the route everyday. He said the drivers all complain about it. Not to mention all the big box stores offering free shipping!. In order for them to do that, they get negotiate cost concessions from UPS/FedEx who makes up the loss on the residential customers.
  4. The electric is similar but without the AUTO button.
  5. There's better made ATF lubricants on today's market that meet and exceed OEM and do a much better job.
  6. File a complaint with the better business bureau. https://www.autocheatsheet.com/car-dealer-scams/dealer-added-options-car-dealer-scam.html
  7. OEM's typically buy lubes from lowest bid lubricant manufacturer custom packaged for them to sell at their dealer. They sell lubes to make more money, not because they need special lubes for their vehicles. Contrary to consumer perception, OEM lubes often are equal to the performance quality of the cheapest aftermarket oils on store shelves. Dealers can command higher prices simply because the consumer perceives it to be more appropriate for the application.
  8. The clunk was from the 4wd system being under stress and unloading. . Likely no harm was done under normal driving conditions (no burn outs etc).
  9. Its probably just logistics delaying things. There is shortage of available drivers and backlog of deliveries.
  10. Its not a oil shortage, its poor planning on the dealer parts manager.
  11. It’s taking longer to get oil supplies, and the price of the oil has gone up. There are shortages of additives driving the costs way up.
  12. There are various dealer websites pkgs. Its not GM pushing the info to the dealer, its how they chose to show the inventory. Once its built ONLY the dealer can access the vehicle info, no one else. Others with access to the system can ONLY see the current activity code, no more than that, 1100, 5000 etc.
  13. The MAX Trailering pkg is a 1500 option and not an available option on the 2500.
  14. Check your dealers website for the vehicle and there would be a link to the sticker. Vehicle In Transit This vehicle has been shipped from the assembly plant and will arrive in the near future. Please contact us for more details. I pulled this one up on the vehicle above in transit
  15. As I understand it the "Shark Fin" antenna is multi-band. Cell, GPS, etc. mast antenna is only AM/FM capable. If you ever wondered why the Shark Fin antenna is mounted off-center?
  16. Rust, iron oxide is formed on iron or steel by oxidation, especially in the presence of moisture.
  17. I wonder if it could be exhaust system components, maybe a tailpipe with a broken hanger? Sounds like something loose touching frame or body??
  18. I was told, rightly or wrongly that you can put tow mirrors on but the only mirrors that are available DO NOT have any power features and WILL NOT be able to support those features as come standard on the Denali, for instance. They are strictly manual operating mirrors. This was quoted from a document the dealer salesman had with the part numbers for the mirrors kits. Seems this is a confusing topic for most dealers as one will tell you one thing and another something else. Even the parts guy had to call someone at GM parts to ask. So you will have mirrors, they won't fold or do anything power assisted.
  19. HD Metal Protector is a long term backorder
  20. I can only buy 91 octane Premium around here, 93 is no where to be found.
  21. 2021 Sierra Denali 6.2L and it idles so smooth you can't tell its running. 10,000 trouble free miles since 12/07/20.... I been adding a bottle of this every tank full for the better of the 10,000 miles. My nephew took one of mine and added to his wife's Cadillac SRX (75,000 miles) and it starting running smoother overnight to the point he bought a couple cases and adds it to every tank in the SRX and his Ecoboost Edge.

  23. Iffyi Preliminary order – A vehicle order that has been submitted to GM through the OrderWORKBENCH system. It would have successfully gone through Pass One. These orders have an Event Code of 1100 (Preliminary Order Accepted) 2000 = Accepted By GM (Dealer used allocation to place order into production)
  24. Sorry but they are bs'ing you. Every dealer submitted preliminary order is at event code 1100 (Preliminary Order Accepted), order was successfully entered into the system (no errors) but the dealer has not received allocation to place the order. UNTIL Chevrolet ACCEPTS the order, it just sits there at 1100. You don't have an order with GM at this point, you only have a dealer requesting an allocation for a slot in the production schedule. If you are sitting at 1100 you are not in line yet for production. Your dealer MUST get GM to accept the order. When GM accepts the order, all the parts are available and will be allocated to your car build. Allocations – The number of a particular vehicle model a dealer is assigned by GM.
