I got the truck back today, with a brand new battery replaced under warranty. There was a bad cell in the original battery. When I went to pick up the truck the check engine light was on. I went back in and they were going to see what was needed to fix it. After about 20 minutes (this is well after the main techs are gone) the guy comes up and tells me the codes are related to the DC to DC converter and since I need to be at work early in the morning, I could take the truck and return with it when I am ready. When I got home I wanted to see the codes, so I plug in my code reader and am SHOCKED to see 30 DTCs (14 different ones). The codes and what I could find on them are listed below. One of them has something on the NHTSA's website... It says GM wants to examine vehicles with these codes within 5 hours of Detroit. If anyone is following along on this, it happened again on Sunday. Truck attempted to crank 1 turn over but no go. I waited to start it because the dealership was closed. I attempted to start it on Monday (not realizing the dealership was closed) and the truck wouldn't start. A bunch of messages came up on the screen (see below for the list in order). Truck was picked up by the tow truck this morning and taken to the dealership this morning. It's hooked up to a diagnostic machine overnight to see what's draining the battery and causing all these issues! Converting tail lights to amber turn signals?
jgisonfire replied to polski85's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
I found the information on it. It is in the AutoSync group under "*Stop/turn light separate* looong post" from November 10, 2021. The post was made by Daniel Berntsen. I wanted to link to the post, it's below if it works. https://www.facebook.com/651732636/videos/249687883717247/ -
Converting tail lights to amber turn signals?
jgisonfire replied to polski85's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
There is a way to have the reverse light blink instead of the red brake lights. Sorry I don't have a link, I couldn't find the info, but I think it was on the BT Dieselworks facebook page about their BCM Tuner. -
I've searched and found others who have had the codes above, but I wanted to see if anyone has run into what happened to me today. I haven't driven the truck in a few days. It's sat in the garage in Southern Indiana with slightly above normal temps. This morning I walk out and attempt to remote start it (like I always do, because I love the sound the GM Performance exhaust makes LOL) and the engine attempts to start, turning over very slowly what sounded like less than 2 times. Concerned I unlocked the truck and got in. Using the push button the engine turns over very slowly again 4-5 times and then starts. When it starts my compass tells me it needs to be calibrated, my fuel gauge shows absolutely empty (I had at least 1/4 tank), and my check engine light comes on. I turned it off, exited the truck to reset things. Restarted, was still slower than normal turning over, but it started quicker. The fuel gauge was still on absolute 0 and the check engine light was on. I called the dealer to make an appointment, and checked the codes with a scanner. I had 2 C0021, and 2 P25A2 codes (I have all updates and TSB's done as confirmed by the dealer). I thought it might have been a battery issue, as my fuel gauge started going up as I was driving, finally getting to where it should have been by the time I got to the dealership, and the check engine light went off, because of course it did... I spent 3 hours at the dealership, where they say they tested the battery, and all of the computers with nothing showing as wrong. The manager gave me his card and said to call his cell phone if the light comes back on and head in so they can test it when the light is on. I guess my main question is does anyone here think this could be caused by the speed sensor staying on and draining the battery (even post TSB)? Or maybe something else electrical? Thanks in advance for thoughts/options on this

Hi everyone! I like the idea of getting something like the below to use on my 2019 High Country Silverado. They appear to be for a 2014-2018 truck, but look to me to be very, very similar to what the 19+ has (and have the buttons for the passive entry that would be needed). I'm not tech savy enough to know if these would work for my truck (obviously the lighted part will be custom wired, but will the handles and passive buttons work)... Anyone here have thoughts? I know @pgamboa has info on the old body style trucks, but not sure who may know for the new ones. Thanks in advance for any help! https://primodynamicleds.com/products/gm-door-handles-2014-sierra-and-silverado?variant=32276090028106

Play all music on USB key?
jgisonfire replied to nichos's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
I think you need to make a playlist with all of the music in it, so you can then say "Play playlist [name]" and it would select from the full list of songs. Down side would be that it would probably play the same song to start, but with shuffle I think you'd be ok after that. -
I think a this point everyone knows about the speed limiter on the trucks (I think there are 3 different levels for the 1500's). My 6.2 High Country is limited to 112 mph. On a ~15 mile straight stretch of road with no traffic (it was 6am) and discovered Cruise control is limited to 108 mph. This picture was taken after my journey in Mexico was over and I was safely stopped. I also learned that if you have cruise set at 108, the truck takes it's time getting from 100 to 108 (way longer than if you do it manually), and that if you use the pedal to get it to 112 so the speed limiter kicks in, cruise control is turned off. I have experience driving cars fast, don't try this at home without a professional's help.

Antenna Delete

I got this one, and use the "0.75 inch Bonus" on my truck. I still get most of the radio stations with it, in a non-major city. I wish it was less pointy, but I think that helps with reception. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O86Z610/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -

I was getting the same message, and It would not accept my password until today. I did login to the My Chevrolet website, which may, or may not have been related to finally getting it to work. -

Replace them with something chrome. I'm debating between 20 & 22 inch wheels, either would be the same style you have, because I really like those wheels as they are more 'sport' wheels than the wheels that came from the factory, which are more 'off road' style wheels to me. -

Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto
jgisonfire replied to spizike9's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
Thanks... I figured they were too new to work yet... did you buy it off of Amazon, or another location? I've seen some of them go for as much as $175, and some that were under $20... -

There are "universal" wireless adapters available now. I've only just started looking into them, so no idea if they work, but I'm hopeful... -
Running Lights Off with Turn Signal...
jgisonfire replied to clowe1243's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
I'm hoping they are able to come up with a solution for the high country version... The LED signals on the truck must be bright enough to not require the DRL's to turn off... -

How long did you cut the 2x6? I got a different number every time I measured (I was by myself) ranging from 72 to almost 73 inches. I feel like 72 and 1/4 is probably right, but wondered what you had.
