  1. Yesterday I also ordered a Kent Moore TPMS tool. These new trucks just cost more and more money. I've been rotating my tires for 50k+ miles and never knew until recently that these trucks needed the re-learn tool, I assumed they just automatically reset their position when the vehicle has been shut off overnight and waiting for a reading from the sensor when you start rolling. So that and the water filtration system took up my play money from my paycheck lol Also hit the truck with the foam cannon today, looks good when you stay on top of cleaning it haha And to top it all off I loosened up my helper springs. I was aiming to get a better ride out of it and still have the spring assistance but I think I backed them off too far, ass end kind of feels a little loose now
  2. Yeah those 900's had a pretty decent stock exhaust on them, at least on a cold start. I also hose clamped the flapper open, gonna check it this morning. Left my buddies at 1am this morning and when I remote started it I could hear a deeper rumble. I installed it in the parts store parking lot with a hot exhaust, idk if it's even fully open lol
  3. Yup, same here. I do a lot of early morning driving so when the lights from another car hit the windshield I see the streaks, then I get into cleaning mode. Everytime I pay $20+ at the car wash I realize why I always do it by hand myself. Those machines suck on trucks, plus they don't get the wheels very well
  4. Takes me at least 2 hours interior. I've never done a full clay bar, compound, polish, and wax before so that would be an all day project for me lol
  5. I'll let you know the results of it. It would probably help if I clay barred the entire truck and did the whole polish, wax deal with it before using it to be sure it's working properly. Black vehicles are just too hard to maintain, who's idea was it to buy another black truck? Lol
  6. No no, broke bastard. You have it all wrong Chris haha
  7. Went ahead and ordered this today http://www.mckees37.com/deluxe-filter-system.html?productid=deluxe-filter-system&channelid=FROOG&gclid=CI2yut3E3c8CFY5ahgodlE0JaQ We have a well so the water is terrible for washing, lots of minerals in it. Hoping this will help, and prevent future water spots. I got 25% off my order with code CARWAX25 so brought the total to $105 if anyone is interested. Code good through the end of the weekend. This is what happens when you sit in a tree stand all day and get bored, you start spending money you don't have haha
  8. Oh okay I see, just clamp it to the other square part that is welded to the exhaust. I'll open it up and find out tonight hopefully
  9. Did you clamp it completely around the exhaust pipe or was there a different way you did it?
  10. Hope so! I'll do it after I get out of the woods later. How big of a clamp did you get, 3.5"? 3"?
  11. Yeah flapper valve still on, kept it there because I wouldn't have had enough pipe if I cut after it. I have the truck tuned and turned off AFM anyways so I don't need it. Guess I could have my exhaust shop just replace the entire pipe after the muffler and keep the Chevy tip, I like the look of it
  12. See I just installed mine last night and it's still quiet, double checked the part # on the box to make sure I got the sport version. How long have you had yours on for? Does it get louder with time? I can barely hear mine on a cold start
  13. Yesterday I did an oil change, rotated tires, swapped out my summer air for winter air (filled tires to 35psi) and installed the Borla direct replacement muffler. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty disappointed in the volume of it, considering its supposed to be the sport model. I thought I'd be able to hear it over my Volant intake but I cold started the truck this morning and I'm pretty sure it's quieter than stock, with a nice rumble to it though. I think next step is to cut out the resonator. If that doesn't do it then I'll take it off and sell it and get some sort of cat back exhaust. Here's a few pics Hunting all day today and plan on loosening my helper springs up tomorrow, the ride is nice and firm right now but it can be uncomfortable. Hopefully loosening them up will still yield the same effect for helping out on the load but make the suspension a little softer, and maybe not creak, that'd be nice
  14. I've had the trailer brakes error before as well. Mine has been caused by two different issues at separate times. First time was the trailer brake wire had eroded away at the 7 way head. Second time there was a lot of moisture on the truck side of the connector. Periodically I get it and have to stop, pull the plug, blow it out, then restart the truck. Idk if it's the truck or trailer anymore, because I've replaced the heads on all my trailer ends and I still periodically get it
  15. When you about to put your girl to work but gotta snap a pic first because she's just lookin' too good

  17. The 2018 MY are supposed to have a revised, stiffer frame. Doubt it will be any stiffer, just not resonate the vibrations to the passengers lol
  18. Since we're talking about seats here, does anyone else's bottom cushion slide side to side? My leather never has looked straight in the back where it almost meets up with the backrest portion of the seat. You look at the line and it always looked crooked to me
  19. They would probably remove them and spray behind them anyways. I'd just wait and let em spray it first, just in case you remove the hooks in the future and it's not coated
  20. Gotcha. They must have gone up in price or maybe I got a special because I rolled it into part of my loan and they know the people at my dealer because they send them a lot of business
  21. Nope, it isn't. Did you ask how much extra the premium was? I paid $75 for mine, if it's within $50 of that then I wouldn't travel
  22. Yup, very true. You know all too well don't ya? Haha
  23. In your area, not in the DC area lol. A decent house around here will run you in the 300's easy, closer to DC and Northern VA is like 500k+
  24. Sorry to hear that man, hoping you find one here soon! As for mine, tomorrow it will be making a little more noise. Ordered a direct replacement muffler through Borla, the sport model. Hopefully it won't be too quiet or too loud. If I need more noise I can cut the resonator out
