Part Question - 2001 Yukon Xl

Hello,

I have a 2001 Yukno XL and need to find a part. I am not sure it is even an actual part, but I thought I would give the forums a try.

My 2001 has cloth interior and a 60/40 bench 2nd seat. On the back of the 2nd row 60% piece is a clip that holds a upolstered panel in the up postion. When you disengage this clip, the panel covers the footwell in the 3rd row.

Well that clip has broken and I do not want to buy a new bench seat to fix it.

So is that a part and if so, any idea of a part number?

Thanks, John

John - I don't have a part number for you, but I have a fix. I used a small metal "L" bracket and drilled a hole through the remaining part of the plastic clip, bolted the L bracket on with a lock washer, nut and bolt.

Added bonus - I've noticed that my kids aren't finding the metal L bracket as fun to play with as the plastic one that they broke........ :dunno:

Thanks! I'll try that.

Currently I have a binder clip zip tied to the broken plastic clip. It works, but it is sharp!

Alright, in the spirit of doing it right, I figured out how to remove the part and now can read a number off the back.

I am seeing a number LF318710 on the backside of the part. Searching the internet has not turned up a part, is there some kind of translation?

Thanks, John
