Front Stabilizer Bar Bushings 08 Nbs 1500 4x4

i just put on a rc leveling kit and noticed that the front sway bar bushings didn't look too good so i ordered new ones from rock auto. They had the polyurethane raybestos ones.

looking at the kit compared to the stock kit though is a little different.

The stock kit has a plastic spacer in there that is pretty big but the raybestos kit just comes with a sleeve for the bolt to go in there.

should that plastic piece be reused or is it possible to reuse it? just looks like the plastic piece took up alot of space but the bolt and sleeve will not.

any help is appreciated.

I would just replace the bushings and maybe the bolts if they are the right length. Also tighten the sway bar with the truck on the ground. Look up the specs too because it looks like yours is over tighten in the picture.

Specs is 17lbs

yeah couldn't even get these ones to torque at 17lbs, tried 2 torque wrenches and they just kept going

I just replaced mine and the new bushings from Energy suspension are just smaller and will not fit the plastic piece. I just used the whole kit and called it good. I was able to torque both the old plastic and the new sleeve to 17 lbs. Maybe yours are worn. Use kit 9.8119 from Energy, fit perfect.

Did you notice any difference after replacing them?
