Warning, I Found A Shop To Avoid In So Ca.

last week i was getting a few estimates on a lift and some tires. a friend at a chevrolet dealership recommended the shop the dealers use, and another friend that i ride with recommended a shop that happened to coincidently be the same shop. (the two friends do not know each other)

 

anyhow, i stopped in there to see this guy and talk with him, the first estimate i got was for a 6" fabtech lift and four 20" trail grapplers, it was 3700.00 installed. then he tried for 30 minutes to sell me a tire i didnt want because it was cheaper. so i thought that was about the average price. so i gave it some thought and i couldnt afford that.

i went back in on monday to talk with the same guy, this time with cash in hand ready because i had decided i would do a level and the tires only. i was thinking it should be less expensive. the estimate he gave me was for a torsion crank, two bilstein 5100 shocks and the same four trail grapplers..... 3950.00 (HUH?)

 

i left totally confused and headed to another shop and their estimate for two torsion keys, four bilstein 5100 shocks, the same four trail grapplers, installation, and alignment was 1700.00.

 

needless to say the latter shop got my business.

Why did you want the Bilstein shocks? Were your factory shocks blown-out?

The bilstiens are far superior to the stock shocks, just ask anyone of the many board members that have them. Hands down the best!!
