I am just getting started with putting a system in my 07 extended cab z71. i am thinking of going with 61/2 type R component systems front and rear with 2 type R 10's with 1 amp pushing my subs and another pushing my components. as for now i am going to keep my stock radio later i may do a double din touch screen. i started my sub box yesterday, i laid down my fiber glass to get it to mold to the floor. next i am going to cut the MDF and fiberglass it to the floor mold. this way it will fit nice and neat under the seat and i won't lose any seating room and it's just going to look really clean. if anyone has any ideas or input for free to reply. i am always open to better ideas than what i have come up with. anyway here are a few pics of the mold of the floor.

Nice! I have always wanted to try messing around with fiberglass for boxes and stuff. Is this something you have a lot of experience in?

Looks like a great start; I think it rocks when someone makes their own enclosure using advanced molding techniques... You might be modest and say you are not so 'advanced' with your method, but compared to the average person what you are doing is def 'PRO' status.

I can't wait to see the results.

wow thanx for the great words of encouragement, i guess i do kinda of under play my skill level, its just that i hate these cocky a--holes that talk all this crap about how good they are then come to find out they dont even know how to change a tire. but anyway i do have some experience with fiber glass and also in alot of other area so if you ever do need any help with something dont be afraid to ask im always down to help from welding to fiber glass wiring hell just about anything. if either of you are in driving range, or i can help as much as i can threw emails and if need be ill talk you step by step over the phone. thanx again for the encouragement and remember dont be afraid to ask if you need any help. i believe there are no dumb questions. Thanx again oh and do either of you have any build threads up of yalls trucks?
