Drivers seat ?

I am just wondering what I can do to prevent my drivers seat from breaking down on the side. I am not all that big ( about 5'11" / 200#), although just at about 5000 miles now the left side of my drivers seat seems to be breaking down quite a bit. I did have katzkin leather installed in my truck brand new, but I've had it before on other vehicles without issues. I did have factory leather seats in my 07 Tahoe, however I didn't experience this problem because I always used the running boards getting in and out. I have been trying to "hop" in/out of the truck to prevent "rolling" over the side of the seat but it doesn't seem to help and I've already ripped the seams on a couple of my suit pants....the tailor is probably beginning to think I'm going to be a regular and i'd rather stay away because he's not cheap....any suggestions? Anybody having the same issues?

ps- I don't want to install assist steps. Nothing against them, just don't like them on my truck. (unless somebody can point me in the direction of crew cab applicable power retractable assist steps like my Hoe had)

I do like those, but I'm interested to see if anyone else has had the same issue....and if there is any way to solve it besides assist steps?

My 2011 already shows wear with less than 3K. I'm 6' 5" so I mostly just step in, don't care at all for these hew seats.
