07 Sierra Denali Brake Light Switch

Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this issue for me. I bought this truck about a year ago and about 5 months in, the brake light switch failed causing the brake lights to stay on all the time and the cruise control to stop working. Easy fix. Replaced the switch and problem solved... or so I thought. Since it failed, it has continued to fail about every 3-4 months and I end up taking the part back and replacing it under the manufacturer's warranty. What I'm trying to find out though, is there anyone who has this issue and is there an underlying condition that is causing this thing to keep failing? Its getting a little annoying having to replace the part so often. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
